~ Rebecca Catalina ~ At Madame Christmas bar, with all the group.
Suddenly she felt horrible, so asked again for a drink " But Im just not impressed, about how the Lt. General Grumman is so...so calm " said watching at the general surrounded by girls, laughing and drinking " I would love to be surprised, but his attitude does not surprise me at all " sighed deeply " now I see of who the colonel Mustang learned everything, but what I dont get, is why act like a womanizer?, maybe to dont be an easy target publicly?, or to protect his squad?, I mean Riza knew about the womanizer facade, but why to keep with it after all this ? " looked Hughes seriously " the colonel's life still in danger?..." asked suddenly in a very low voice. (( OMFG PAGE 4!!!!!!!!! *makes the happy dance* ))

Ling hummed quietly in recognition, "That does seem like quite a problem...." He glanced at Roy an studied him for a moment. "His chis quite clouded with emotion....tell me....Do you have any lead on her in the least?" He folded his arms slightly, his long sleeves tailing easily over his fingers by a good couple of inches. He opened his eyes slightly to look at her instead of her chii, "nei?"
((let me explain. Ling usual see by chii best when he had his eyes closed. He keeps his eye closed so he can always see chii and tell if one lieing. when in battle he opens his eyes so he can see more movement then chii. Basically keeping ones eyes closed strengthen the chii flow through their eyes. ))

"The colonel actually have an idea, he thinks she is in her parents house, in her home town, but is not like he will go running to her so suddenly, he have to cool down a bit, let her cool down a bit, but that is just a theory, knowing her she can be anywhere, but I for sure believe that she is at her home town too" said to Ling worried " after desappear in a conversation she told me something about our past that I cant remember still " sighed, looked to Ranfan that was there now " I think they have been working hard for so long that is strange be free to relax more..." frowned " besides, I keep wondering if the colonel's life is in danger, I mean thats the only reason I found to explain that about keep pretending that he is a womanizer " said softly.

Ling sat down beside ehr and nodded. He threaded his pale fingers together and rested them on the counter top, purposefully allowing the oroborus to stay exposed. He no longer hid the fact that he was a homunculus. "Hmm....That is sensible I suppose." He lifted his gaze back at her, violet eyes meeting her dark brown ones. "I suppose I would do the same if my Lanfan were missing."

Madam Chistmas’ heart broke as she watched her solid proud son shook with sorrow. She had never seen him so defeated. She took another puff from her cigarette with her hands shaking. “No she said,” to herself, “Today Roy needs me to be brave for him.” She steadied her hand and took a long drag as she thought of what to tell this man, who was the closest thing she had ever had to a child, in his hour of need. She stood up and walked over to Roy and placed a firm but loving hand on his shoulder. “Roy boy, I think it’s time..” She paused, what she had to say was not kind, and it broke her heart that these were her word to say, but she continued with her voice quivering a bit at first, “It’s time to show that Ms. Riza of yours that not only do you want her watching your back, but that you also lover her wholly as the woman she is.” She smiled warmly at her boy hoping that he could feel the emotions she was sending to him. “You’ve always done what it took to be on top, and that included doing things that hurt your Lt.’s heart. It’s time for you to do something grand, stupid, and romantic to show her that none of my girls ever mattered. That no other woman in the world holds any part of your heart.” She sat back down and put out her cigarette. She hoped with all her heart that Roy would see what needed to be done and could return to being the man who she had raised.

(My appologies everyone for my long absence! I hope that my next posts will help move the story along! Crosses fingers.) Good old Grumman finally arrived at Madam Christmas' bar after taking care of a few deeds at the headquarters. Before entering, Grumman took a deep breath and swallowed his deep sense of guilt. He then walked into the bar, having a huge smile. Although he saw Mustang and the group talking about his granddaughter's disappearance, he took a seat, alone, in the corner of the bar. He then called out "Waitress! Excuse me! I would love to have a drink!" In no time at all, a cute girl came to his call. She asked "What should I get you handsome?" Grumman couldn't help but blush at the girl's comment. "Hohoho! Handsome? Why thank you!" His laughter was out of his control at this point. "Oh... I would love to have some red wine, preferably the year 1907 if you have a bottle. It's a good year if you ask me." He then gave a friendly smile as the waitress nodded and left to fetch him some wine. After a good two hours, Grumman was surrounded by a flock of girls. He was telling them about his early years in the military and some classic war stories of his. Despite the good wine and all of the beautiful girls, his heart was still depressed. He worried about Riza as well as the blind ruler. His guilt had not subsided; he still blamed himself for Roy's current dilemma. So, despite having the appearance of crying with joy, he was secretly crying his heart out in misery.

(Ok. Grumman is done, now Havoc. Looks at his keyboard with unease. You can do this! Begins typing at a steady pace.) While fixing dinner for Rebecca and himself, Havoc hears the phone ring. He rushes to the phone, using the wall to keep his balance as he sits himself in his wheel chair. After a few seconds, he wheels himself to the phone and answers. To his surprise, it's Rebecca. He replies "Hello Sweetie! Where are you? Oh... you're in a bar. With Mustang? What's going on? Is he ok!?!" Upon hearing the news of Riza's disappearance and Roy's saddened state, Jean's cigarette falls from his mouth as he is shocked from disbelief. He then says "She left him!?! How can that be!?! No... no. You don't have to pick me up. I'll get a cab and meet you all there. Ok... see you in a little bit." He hangs up the phone and moves to the bedroom so as to dress for the cold night air. He then wheels himself outside and hails a cab. A cab pulls over and Jean hops in as the driver places his wheel chair in the trunk. After both had entered the cab, the driver asks "Where are you heading to buddy?" Havoc yells out, in a desprate tone "To Madam Christmas' Bar! Quickly!" The cab driver nods and then then takes off at fast pace. All Havoc can think of is "What should I say to offer Roy comfort? Should I say anything? Or am I too late to be of any use?" These and many other thoughts raced through his mind, leaving poor Havoc in a state of unease.

“Sounds to me like your talking about marriage…“ Roy placed his hand over hers as she rested it on his shoulder. “I don’t know if I can…it’s not that I don’t want to its just that after all the horrible things I’ve done I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to atone enough to be worthy of enjoying that sort of happiness, it always seems like its never enough. Since becoming head of state I’ve been working day and night to bring democracy back to this country, its not easy, true democracy through out history has always failed to uphold freedom, it can become just as dangerous and oppressive as our old military state if its not done right. Democracy in of its self is not freedom. Democracy is like two wolves and a lamb voting on what to eat for lunch. I’ve been working day and night constantly ever since I’ve become head of state, working to construct the rigid backbone for our country a backbone that can only be described as constitutional republic, democracy on its own never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. Through out history there has never been a democracy that did not commit suicide… I’ve been trying to seal off every possible path that will take us back to a military state. I know that it will be impossible for our country to never again become victim to corruption, no government is foolproof that’s why we have revolutions in the first place I have to stress this fact to the people of this country. If I don’t fear that one day this glory of this new benevolent government may become nothing but a mask concealing a monster!” Roy turned up his head to face his foster mother. “I don’t know if I can marry her with a clear conscious, I’m not the kind of man who can burry everything deep inside and go on to lead a happy life. At the same time I don’t think I can do this with out her by my side….Is it really all right for a man with my past to be happy wile working toward ensuring the happiness of the next generations, being happy wile trying to atone and change? I dont feel like I deserve such a thing...”
