True. I hate saying it but Hughes' death helped everyone find out about Father's plan in a very quick amount of time. It could be argued that if he didn't die, Father might have succeeded with his evil deeds.

I hope I can one day make an anime people can have fond thoughts like this........ But hey....Would it be VERY weird if all the characters on FMA were in Real life...as in america?? I would totally go to Hughe's house and play airplane with Elicia!!! ^ ^

I have often thought about it actually. However, if FMA was based on real events and people, it would mean several things: 1)alchemy works, 2)all the characters would probably be located in Europe, specifically Germany, and 3)all the characters would be in their hundreds or even dead, based on the time setting of the series.
