[at the mention of an enemy cat wanting to hurt Wavepelt she narrowed her eyes and glared at her "enemy"] Galestar said Serpentpaw needed to learn how to fight out in the open, that means she can no longer hide in the safety of the shadows... she will have to stand her ground! [She remembered how easily Galestar could toss her around in there first training session, she was too light. she had to think of a different way to stay firmly in place. She braced her self and dug her long claws deep into the earth. she let out a echoing hisss and rammed into him like a tank. using her claws to propel herself forward and shove him back!]

 F o r what is it to die, but to stand in the sun..._____________________________[Galestar immediately braced himself, wrapping his arms around her flank and nipping her lightly on her belly, then sprang back.]
"Good, good," he said praisingly, "but next time ram with your chest and not your belly. Whatever you do, don't expose your belly! Your enemy can rip your belly open with a swipe of their paw, and it's over."
[Nodding to her, Galestar dropped into a crouch again, slithering forward.]
"Again!" he hissed excitedly._____________________________...and melt in the w i n d ?

[Serpentpaw looked at him with surprise.] He was able to flip Serpentpaw over!? ...Serpentpaw will just have to try again less tensely this time. [She dug her claws into the ground just like before. She charged at him with great speed, ripping up the earth behind her. This time she kept her stomach low to the ground and when she reached him, like a snake, she weaved around and under him tripping him up as she knocked his legs. she she quickly retreated a short distance and quickly weaved back around to face him, making sure not to turn her back to him for vary long.]

"Much better!" he said proudly. "Remember that NightClan cats can be a bit ruthless-you must always stand your guard!"
[As he said it, Galestar swiftly slithered up to her, wrapping her in another death grip and nipping her in the throat before wiggling free quickly.
He stood back, creamy pelt rustling.]
"Now attack me."_____________________________...and melt in the w i n d ?

[Serpentpaw let out an intimidating battle cry as she lunged toward him. her first attack was a fake out, to make him flinch, the second attack she aimed for his front legs. she tried to mimic his death grip. she wrapped her tail around his front paws to tie him up and nipped at his throat.]

"Very good," he purred. "That tail of yours will most certainly be useful while fighting."
[He batted at her face playfully, eyes glinting mischeviously.]_____________________________...and melt in the w i n d ?

[Serpentpaw smiled joyfully when Galestar batted her face.] "Thank you Galestar. Back home father taught Serpent that your opponent cant strike if you trip them. Serpentpaw has always had a long tail, it dose come in handy!"

"I suppose you've had some previous training," he said amusedly, "you were a little more advanced than I realized last training session.

"Yes, Serpentpaw was taught by her family back home, but our style of fighting was different the the kind of fighting you have been teaching Serpentpaw." [Serpentpaw giggled and gave her mentor a sweet smile.] "Serpentpaw would love to go hunting."

"You'll have to teach it to me one day," he said promptly. "Now, let's go!"
[He bounded off, getting a running start, as he headed into the woods.]
"Last one to catch a piece of prey is a faded old rock!" he yowled.]

[Serpentpaw flinched at the speed Galestar took off at. she turned to see him running off into the forest.] "Nu-uh! Careful what you say Galestar! You are going to be a faded old rock now!" [She said playfully as he ran after him in her search for prey.]

F o r what is it to die, but to stand in the sun..._____________________________[Galestar snorted and shook his head. You wish! he said softly in his head.
He quickly slowed down and began to stalk a rabbit, nibbling on a grain of wheat. It froze and flicked its ears, looking around. He stood dead still, waiting. Slowly, the rabbit dropped its guard again, nibbling nervously at its small snack.
With a pounce, Galestar caught the prey and quickly delivered a kill bite to its neck.
He carried his rabbit proudly to a gnarly bush, where he buried it temporarily. He caught sight of Serpentpaw and winked at her, his eyes cheerful.]_____________________________...and melt in the w i n d ?

Aww man. Serpent is an old rock. [She thought to her self seeing Galestar bury his newly caught rabbit. She could still at least catch her own. She crawled around through the bushes she saw a squirrel running around collecting nuts and seeds.] Ah! my nemesis! [She positioned herself, slowly slithered through the vegetation, inching herself closer. when she was at the right distance, she striked! She nailed it, killing it instantly.] "Serpent got it!"

"Wonderful job, Serpentpaw!" he said cheerfully. "I never like chasing squirrels. They always run for the trees."
[His eyes flashed as a mischevious look came over him.]
"Want to go rabbit-chasing?" he asked excitedly, swishing his tail at the thought._____________________________...and melt in the w i n d ?

[She smiled.] "yeah, Serpentpaw never liked chasing them either... YES! lets chase rabbits!!" [She had an eager look on her face! she remembered how fun it was when her siblings and she would chase them around.]
