Indeed I can, but the DC 20 checks made me think twice about getting that talent as my first... anyways rolling for my credits, it's about all I have to do unless GM wants a back story.
Also what are the rules on starting with restricted+ items? Am I assumed to have already gone through the time and effort (auto-success on check?) to get the licence?

I'll allow for a passage of once per year that one may try and get a license for (as I understand it to buy) the chosen item. Meaning, 1 roll = 1 year. Since you can't take 10 or 20 on that.
I'd also prefer it that most of those trials would be made after coming of age, and getting a source of income to get said license.
You may try for multiple items within the year though.
The passage of time is to allow the character's background (either typed or otehrwise) to expand more, so the Empire may have more to go on, and judge on your character as to deem if they should grant you said license.
If you have any counter-arguments, or ideas I'd be more than willing to hear it. This goes for everyone here.
I'd also like to note, I'm not against linked backgrounds and characters.

Raganui Minamoto From what I heard, Jester was playing a droid. *shrug* We'll see what he decides.
To be fair, both Jester, and M.I. are both droids. M.I.'s is just a touch more sophisticated than Jesters, though.

Sorry for the wait ladies and Gents ^_^ I will have my charater up in just a little bit, but good news I did get that job I was aiming for. So I will be awesome BUT I will be working days and weekends so Seph if I am going to conflic let me know because I don't want to hold you all back.
