can't really remember when exactly but maybe when i was 8... my father paints really good.. his paintings inspired us.. although he was a self taught painter.. he's story is really touching actually.. he used to tell us his story: "when he was in first grade, his family was too poor to even buy him shoes' slippers, he goes to school, bare foot.. and of course, during recess time, he had nothing to eat.. to forget his hunger, he draws.. scribbles on his pretty used up papers.. after that, he drawing is his favorite past time.. when he reached college, he climbed mountains to paint the view/scenery... " also,I always loved anime.. it helped me a lot during my younger years... it also inspired me.. taught me a lot.. then came the PC (personal computer)... saw my brothers drawing in it.. got jealous and tried it myself.. and here i am now.. trying to draw realistically.. well a bit.. it's a big step.. but am trying my best to improve.. hehe..

Aww, cool! My dad kind of inspired me, too. He was artisticly inclined, and drew really pretty horses! x 3 He was more into music than drawing and painting, but he deffinately had a huge appriciation for arts. : )

Self-taught I guess. I always hated special classes because I had too wait to much to learn what I wanted since the teachers would always stick to much with shapes and shades, as for school, art was a joke to them and out of 4 teachers only one could draw better than me.
I've been drawing since I was hmm.. 10-11? I'm currently 16 :]

Me and my twin sister both can draw good. It runs in the family.
I do traditional art, as in 'pencil art'. Portraits mostly and surrealistic types.
I don't use a tablet because i don't think i'd be able to afford it but it seems thats the preferred method since it takes little talent to draw on a computer.
But we've been drawing since like we first figured out how to hold a pencil.
I don't really draw anymore since I have no time to do it, it's really not that important and it's a pretty useless talent these days since everyone seems to be an 'artist'.

Been drawing since I was like 4 or 5. First thing I remember about me wanting to be a good artist was me sitting next to my mom who was airbrushing this really awesome t-shirt design. I pulled out a piece of paper and pencil and tried to replicate it and it was so terrible I cried. I cried and threw a huge temper tantrum because I couldn't draw like my mother could. She calmed me down and told me I had to practice to get better.
And I did. I was self taught up until I was 20. Even in my first art class in community college, I was teaching others how to do certain techniques. My second college art course (drawing 2) we did portraits. First time i've ever drawn a portrait and my teacher told me... that if it was my first time, she'd give up art. lol. I lied to her and said I had done it once before. I liked her... she knew I was really good and could tell when I did a project half @$$ and graded me much harder then the others. Pissed me off at first... grrr.
After that I started developing my own style. I watched alot of disney and did doodles off of photos on google. mad Going from a disney style to an anime ish style... I think it's pretty much my own at this point...
I've slowed down alot since I got married. And am now recently getting into many other types of art. Right now i'm painting and drawing. biggrin I'm not so good at painting, but whatever.. it's fun.

I've been drawing since about age 4, my kindergarten teacher once noted to my parents my drawing skills were already ahead of other students in the class. I refined my skills overtime through school, still refining them now. =3
My early inspirations were cartoons, video games, and most of all, comic books. My granduncle always bought me American comic books. So my mind was constantly fueled with inspiration.

My mom sais I've been drawing on stuff since I was 2. I'm 26 now and teaching art on occasion, I plan to attend college soon to become a high school art teacher. I also do tattoos, I've worked in a few shops and done tattoos for over 5 years now. Pretty much self taught with natural talent. I pick up on things from other styles and hints and tips from others and use them my own way in my style. I mostly do watercolor paintings, comic book style art and pinup, but I can draw or paint in any style or medium. I'm always learning new techniques and love drawing with others and seeing other people's style.

I started around the 6th grade, maybe the summer before 6th grade anyway. Either way its been about 5 years. One of my older Sisters had used a few of her favorite yu-gi-oh cards to make a drawing from that. I had decided that I wanted to try it too, so I did. I had fun with it and just kept doodling from there, it was probably a good couple years or so before I started becoming real serious about wanting to improve.
EDIT: Forgot to mention this part.
Ive been self taught, Ive also had some help from my sister (who also draws but claims to hate it). Ive also had help from people on the internet, and a few drawings books. Hope to be able to draw realisticly.

; ^ ; I'm so behind... I mean, sure, I doodled when I was younger but that comes with the territory. So, I started to doodle hard up in middle school but got a bit more serious when I met my BFF Freshman year of high school. I wanted to get better than her so I started to try. I've lately been trying harder now a days, but I hate drawing non chibi since I suck a** at them D: So, all in all and I've only really been drawing for like four or five years Dx

Ehh, I've been drawing for as long as I can remember. Of course, I use to just do it for fun outside of school. It wasn't until two years ago when I started to focus more and find my own 'style'.
