A girl is home alone when a man breaks into the house, after threatening her and telling her to show him where the money is in the house her cellphone rings. The girl says that it would be suspicious if she didnt answer her phone. The robber lets her but listens intently to the phone conversation, which was as follows.
"Hey. Thanks for the call. You know those Science notes I lent you last week? Well I really need them back. It would be a great help to me. It's an emergency, so if you could give me them tomorrow it would be great. Please hurry in finding the notes. I need to get back to my books now. Bye." and hung up.
The girl then started to take the robber to her parents room to give him the money when the sirens were heard outside of the house. As the cops were taking away the robber the girl's friend ran up and gave her a hug.
How did the friend know that she was in trouble and need to call the cops?

Does this have anything to do with symbols in the words, such as initials of capitalized letters, or is this a code between friends...e.g. They didn't have science class...
