!2ice .I r i s. I try to put "quality" because I think it's true for me xD I want people to be like "ah, yes, let's click this because it might just be good" lol I just don't know what works, I don't get as much attention as an artist as I'd like, I guess I'm just not as lucky as some people xp
Someone tell me how to get everyone to click and I'll do it xD haha the cow says:good thing is to cruise around the r&c more and get to know people..... r&c is a friendly place and all artists are fun to be around so just venture out to know some more people! socialize! also doing commissions for some well known people well get you a lot of attention. Yeah, I agree with that, but at the same time I don't want to look like a moocher, talking to people only because they're popular haha. I do enjoy starting conversations and getting to know new people though, I should go around more and make myself noticeable razz

Kaleta ยป Hm well i must say, i am one to be taken in by shops that say quality but then get real disappointed when i see none. But most of the ones i do click on are bang on the spot when they say quality.
I also get taken in my titles that have "temp" and "bribe" cause to me, only awesome artists will do temps and bribes xD But then again, you do get the occasional wannabes xp
-points to self- 8D ANYWAY @Rice - Haha, yep, same for me. R&C ftw >D Oh, and another thing. If I can't make sense of the title with its 10 bajillion symbols, I don't even bother.

rice says@iris ahahha its just good business etiquette just talk to people and let the 6 degree of separation do the work hehe
@epic yeeeeeeeep the shops with japanese and chinese letters turn me off...... because most of the time they're not even that ethnicity.... for me i like funny titles, something that makes me giggle when i read them and i'll drop in most of the time

I never use "high quality" it would feel like I'm bragging about my own art or something.
I've been using "expensive" in my shop. That just sounds like I'm a greedy person, and I can live with that. 4laugh

The name of my shop is something like Circle-Circle-Dot-Dot-Cooties-Shop. 3nodding But it's never in my thread title...
I guess over the years it's become less commercialised and it's more of a 'fun' thread. It's there to sell art, but I'm usually shut a lot because I'm a slow worker so... it's more of a hangout and fun place I guess... until I next open.
I don't really draw to gain gold, I draw because I like it so I guess my thread is more casual instead of having 'full' in the title or something.
Doesn't make sense. XD Chyah... gonk

the word "quality" is too abused to be of any use now ^^; even the words "bribe shop" are losing value...

AMEN. "High Quality" and "Bribe Shop". Pleeeaaase. I'm sorry, artist regulars. There is no longer a place to hide.
Sometimes, pretty good art shop threads are named something so informal. LOL. Like "OMG I NEED SUM GOLDZ QUICK RLY TEMP".
I haven't made an art shop thread in a gajillion yearsss.

When browsing the R&C I usually do it for the lulz so I always click on "Open" and "Quality" just to see how grossly misrepresentation is evident. XD I swear I am not a cruel, mean hearted person. D: Don't listen to what Rice says! D:<
In situations where I am looking for art, I suppose I look for the title to contain something interesting along with the word "Open" XD
As for my shop title, because it is a joint shop we put the name of the shop and an O for Open if at least one of us is open. The rest of the space is usually something silly that is related to Gaia's current drama or current thread convos. biggrin It helps draw in people if it says something along the lines of "I want Fat Princesses." XD

I usually go for the shops that have foreign characters in their titles. I don't know why. I just get drawn to them ._____.
other than that, I usually don't even browse the R&C by shop name, but by artist name XDD

I skip over any threads that have giant titles abusing symbols - if I can't read the title, chances are I won't be able to read what's inside. Most of the time, though, I'll go by artist name - sometimes by the number of posts/pages the shop has because, I figure, if the shop has been able to maintain itself in such manner then the shop keeper must be a dedicated one.
More often than not, though, I'm inside my own shop and rarely come out.

I don get why people add the HQ when they are just begginers. Most of the time the HQ is just... well. Im not a great artist, I dont considere me HQ, even middle Q, but when I see someone worse than me adding HQ in the tittle... it makes me want to tell... >_>
