Hi all. I'm Jason, 35. Been poly on one level or another since I was 22. Currently in an open relationship with my wife, though for a bit we were in a closed triad with another who unfortunately (from our view points) moved on. Normally I can gab quite a bit in a post, but for some reason I'm out of things to say. If you want to know anything though, just ask.

Hey there. I've been a member of the guild for a few weeks now and a semi regular in the poly support thread but I just hadn't gotten around to posting here yet. It might have been the baby I just squeezed out or the wedding/commitment ceremony I'm planning that's been distracting me but whatever it was.. I have overcome it!
My name is Sybil and you're free to use whatever bastardization of my username you please. I'm twenty-two and I live somewhere in the midwest of the USA with a "primary" (male/straight) partner, our Spawn and four cats ( Jaya & Max @ 9 years old, Lt. Hannelore Poofytail @ 3 years old and Casimir @ 2 years old). At the moment I'm neither working nor taking classes but I'm hoping to get involved with the local library through volunteer work during this upcoming spring semester with plans to start up classes again in the summer. My degree(s) I'm studying for are in liberal arts with a focus in French and Spanish and business with a focus in management and real estate.
I'm an active participant in the Society for Creative Anachronism - I sew and cook, get a little bit snarky about my own garb and try to help out around the group as much as possible. I'm working on putting a class together about gender in the middle ages for a local A&S night.
I'm most likely to describe myself as a hot chocolate loving hippie-geek mama.
Hi, my name is Sybil and I'm poly.

Hi Sybil! I am also a scadian. Was highly active in Caid until I was forced by finances to move to Aten. Haven't really gotten fully into the local group here, though working on it. I'm primarilly into Heraldry (book and field) and target archery. Not a standard heavy fighter, but truthfully that's only due to a neck injury suffered in high school. Probably for the best, and has allowed me to get more thoroughly invested in the previously mentioned loves.
It's always nice to meet another living the dream.
(told you all I can get gabby)

Hi there! ^.^
Our shire is actually so small we don't have a Knights Marshal and therefore no actual fighter's practice. We have a handful of oldbies (40-ish would the youngest of the oldbies) and several handfuls of high schoolers with a few college students thrown in for good measure in the shire. It's really frustrating for my partner because he'd like to be able to go to practice regularly but that would entail an hour drive or more no matter which neighboring shire he chose. Target archery is something we're both definitely interested in but haven't found the time or money to pursue yet. (We usually have one or the other but never both at the same time, you know?)
How's Aten treating you? Midrealm just had their crown tourney and unlike the last couple of royals we've had this pair aren't Vikings!

Hello. :3
I'm Khry (KREE), 16. Kinda young, I know. I am a girl. [:
I'm poly, but I prefer being monogamous in a relationship, and I'd prefer it if my partner was poly if he was going to have relations with another person. Both my previous partners have been monogamous and cheated on me, one with both guys and gals, one with just other gals. It's pretty upsetting when you're told that "you're the one for me," and you find out he's been with someone else all along. :/ I really shouldn't worry about it since I've been sort of in love (more like a deep like) with two different guys before; I just chose one over the other. I recently moved to another state and have no intentions of a relationship until I start college in fall of 2011.
Anyways, I'm an art student, I love cats, anatomy, astronomy, mythology, sociology, psychology, Edgar Allen Poe, gore, the smells of rotting leaves, oil paint, paint thinner, and charcoal, mountain dew, and beef.
If there's anything anyone would like to know or correct me about, you can feel free to PM me. Heck, feel free to PM me if you're bored. I'm almost always available to chat. Making new friends is my favorite game!

@ Mameoyashi:
Unfortunately Sybil isn't the name I was given at birth. Somewhere in middle school I started using variations of the name Sybil in my writing and role playing and after I turned 18 I decided that I wanted to legally change my name. I've always had a hard time remembering to respond to my given name because I've never really felt that it fit me and I eventually learned to despise the given name because of how common it is where I live. When I started high school there were 17 other girls with my name in the school and I come from a small farming community where there's only one high school for the entire county. Even after I moved away for college I was never in a course where there wasn't at least one other woman with my given name. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.
@Riitsukah:
Yay, fellow cat lover! Do you house any children of Bast? And which mythologies are your favorite?

EDIT: DAMN IT GAIA...why is my post is at the top of the page >_<;; ugh.. )
Most people on the threads call me lily. You can call me lilith, lily, lil, etc. whatever so long as i can tell that you are talking to me.. 3nodding
i am 20 years old (21 in April) and have had only one poly relationship so far (i dated a girl and boy at the same time, both knew about each other and got along well. i have an old photo of the three of us somewhere), back in high school before i even knew what poly was. Sadly, the girl i was with ended up breaking it off because she was a mono girl at heart and preferred men anyway. My boyfriend and i stayed together until he cheated on me (no clue why, he could have easily just asked.. some people i swear.. rolleyes ) and then left me for the girl (again, i'm truly baffled to this day by his actions)
and since then i have ended up being stuck with mono after mono partner...and one way or other it always ended, but never because of it being mono. It was usually lack of communication on their part which made things go to hell, and/or i got sick of being the only one trying to work it out, or them deciding to cheat instead of be poly (seriously, i would love to have this logic explained to me), or they found someone better and left me for them, or it was abusive.
Long story short, i have had very few healthy happy relationships that didn't end in cheating, abuse, or from lack of communication.
i am currently in a mono relationship with a wonderful man. i have been with him over a year, and living with him for over 8 months. This is one of the happiest and healthiest relationships i've ever been in. Before he met me, he was so clueless about so many things thatwere like second nature to me (poly, kink, etc.) and i introduced him to BDSM, and we now live a Master/slave lifestyle with a DaddyDom/littlegirl dynamic. He is still very new to it all, and we don't have a lot of kink (just a lot of Dominance/submission) in our relationship, but slowly working on that together.
He is also a mono guy, but says that could change on account of never being exposed to it before, just like when i introduced him to BDSM and he has gotten quite comfortable with it over time. We have talked about me being poly and such, and someday we might add a third party (most likely try for a female, since i prefer women over men) to the relationship. However, even if not, he makes me happy and satisfied enough to want to marry him already. He is a very open-minded guy who wants to make me happy, just as i want to make him happy. This ends up making us both give and communicate and not just take and take..which is a nice change from my past boyfriends.. redface
As for things i like: Domestic servitude (i loooove cleaning and tending to the house. i'm a 1950's housewife at heart. ;D ) is more like a part of my lifestyle and part of what makes me who i am, rather than a hobby, but i'll put it here anyway cause it's a big part of my day to day life.
Also, i'm a bookworm. i love cosplay and dressing up, roleplaying (everything from tabletop to LARP), renn fairs, conventions, anime, video games, comic books and manga, and a very long list of other geeky things.
i also enjoy a lot of childish activities including but not limited to coloring books, playing with dolls, cuddling stuffed animals, tea parties, blowing bubbles, playing games like hide and go seek and tag, jump rope an hop scotch, etc. i'm a big kid. 4laugh
Also, i have pets and love animals. i have been told i am going to grow up to be a crazy cat lady for my love of all things feline. i have one kitty who was born under my bed over two years ago (Three years in March) and he is my baby. However, in this house we also have three rats. We also have two tanks with animals in them. One of fiddle crabs. The other of a lot of fishes, and three toads.
So..um..yeah..sorry for the long post that barely involved me talking about myself...i'm not good at it... That should be about it though.. sweatdrop

Hello, all. I won't share my name since it's a bit unusual spelling-wise, although I might at a later date. Let's go by my middle name, which is Marie.
I'm in a new poly trio with a man I've worked with and adored for the last 3 years as well as his lovely wife. They've been together for 4 years, so I'm the n00b in the relationship. I don't live with them, but down the street. She has a 4-year-old son who is the cutest thing in the world.
I guess I don't really have much more of a story. I have my loves and that's pretty much it. There is a couple in Canada that I'm pretty tight with, and I try to visit as often as I can, but I'm not 'with' them. I've worked with the male half of the relationship for 2 years, and talked with his lovely fiancee for about one. They're also poly.

I suppose it is my turn to say hello. I just joined this group the other day and have spent quite a bit of time checking out the threads and whatnot. In any case, I am 20/F/Bi and living in Grand Junction, CO...hopefully my living situation will change promptly, as this town is a little too small for my taste. I am engaged to a wonderful man who is 26.
As far as poly goes, neither of us have ever been in a poly relationship. I have a great interest in it, as I feel the need for female companionship beyond just friends. He is also interested in it, but to a lesser degree. That being said, I'm trying to be proactive about the situation and meeting people, with very little luck. He is more of a passenger on this ride. He understands the what's and why's of it, but he isn't quite sure of how to approach people with it...
In other news, I'm a bit of a nerd, and a fantasy junky...I love reading, writing, roleplaying (mostly tabletop, but some text based). I'm a licensed aircraft mechanic, and so is my man, so we spend a lot of time talking about aviation and that sort of thing. I'm running out of things to say...
Have a wonderful day anyways! ~LumpyOatmeal (or Jes)

Hey all, first off very happy to be here. There is a distinct lack of understanding about poly on my side. ¬.¬*
Okay so I'm 20, turning 21 soon. I live in Australia (it's not cold here. it's really freaking hot). I'm female, gender neutral, poly (obviously) and it's pretty much a definate I'll be attracted to you if you're legal and have a pulse, lawl. (especially love drag kings/queens and long hair)
I'm darkly inclined, which I use as a catchall term for any sort of alternative/goth/victorian type or based fashion and I'm kind of a geek. I like videogames, anime, manga, comics, fantasy, sci-fi and horror novels, writing, drawing and teh internetz.
I'm a student at University studying Japanese and Creative Writing. I'm also going to do sign language this year. (^o^)
If you want to talk to me or have a debate or discussion PM me because I hardly ever revisit threads. Drop me a line of what thread it is you want to discuss in and I'll come back. Or we can just chat over PM. I'm easy. (no not in that way. (~_^))

Hello, you can call me Raiyne. I'm 23, pansexual, and live in Northern California. My husband and I have been practicing poly since we got together five years ago, although right now it's just the two of us. Lately I have been really wanting a girlfriend, but not sure if I should pursue that desire since we will be moving soon and I'm busy with work and school. We also participate in BDSM. Anyway, outside of relationship stuff I am a huge nerd and love gaming, console as well as tabletop. I also love to make things, mostly I knit, but I'm also learning to sew clothing. My favorite thing to do is combine my love of knitting and gaming. I'm also working to become a student midwife and am fascinated by all aspects of birth and child development. I also love psychology and anthropology. I am also attempting to become fluent in Japanese once again, mainly to be able to speak more easily with my grandma. I feel like I'm rambling at this point so I'm gonna go ahead and stop, but if you'd like to know anything else feel free to ask.
