Kerobian *Only to find a tentacle clamped across his hand* Stay out of there...yes, your father is dead...he died recently, and his soul has yet to be sorted...this is a prelim report. Now, as for Jade...she's in my power, but only for three days...and I can't resurrect her without at least A hundred Diamond's worth of power...I have about five stored in my body...bring me the other ninety-five, and I shall return her to life. aye mate ill get to it but one question what was his cause of death?

As I said before, Gemstones are used by mages much like meters and kilometers are...they are a measure of energy. Specifically, they measure the raw power required to do magical labor. A Quartz, the basic unit, is the amoun of pure magical energy required to lift a one-ounce pebble one foot into the air. The stones move up by powers of ten, thusly, a Moonstone (2nd lowest) would lift a ten ounce pebble, and a Lapis (3rd lowest) a hundred ounce stone. The highest is a Diamond, the energy required to lift a 31,250,000 ton boulder one foot into the air by pure magical force.
If you wish to collect power, merely ask a mage to fill a gemstone with magic. The Thirteen units are, in ascending order: Quartz (1 ounce), Moonstone (10 ounces), Lapis Lazuli (100 Ounces), Aquamarine(62.5 pounds), Peridot(625 pounds), Garnet(6250 pounds), Amethyst(31 tons), Topaz (312 tons), Emerald (3125 tons), Opal (31,250 tons), Ruby (312,500 tons) , Sapphire (3,125,000 tons), Diamond (31,250,000 tons)

Word of warning, Austin, mages don't readily fill those stones for you. They usually want something in exchange, like labor, magic item, rare ingredients, what have you. Because it takes time for them to raise that much power to begin with.

Austin then Leaves the void he then he takes a note with him as he hastily scribbles on it, leaves his cabin, not even bothering to close the door. Polly closes it for him by bumping the door with his beak, then then soars in pursuit of his master. Austin hurries down the steps turns left then down the hall of the crews quarters. Yuki's cabin lays at the end of the hall but on the right he comes upon steam coming from the Comissar's room. confused, he knocks on the Comissar's cabin but no answer. Austin was in a hurry so he opened the door as he enters to find Commisar Chaos bathing..."Uh...Comissar when did you that get such a bold tan! eek The Comissar raises a finger but before he could speak Austin interrupts..."Listen Chaos lets chat later I got..uh.." Austin glances at the note pad ,"have to obtain exactly : 2,968,750,000 tons of energy or simply 95 more Diamonds!"
The Commisar lowers his finger and just stares blankly at Austin..Austin pauses then answers while backing out of the room "...so good day guv nah!"
Then Austin closes the door and slides down to Yuki's room and knocks on the door She doesn't answers he "Knocks shave an a haircut"

Go give Austin a hand...95 Diamonds in three days is an almost impossible task, especially since I can't use your power, Ly. Or Commisar's, for that matter. Give him a hand...I can do this work...I've only done it for 10,000,000 years, after all.

A rather large red and white snake is curled up on your deck... at the sound of your voice it lifts it's head and sighs... the voice is not exactly feminine, in fact it is a kind of hissing baritone... r.r.right.t.t and what side of the bed.d.d.d. did you get.t.t.t out on.n.n.n.
