The story doesn't have to advance if you don't want it to though. I'm still in the teen years but I have like 50, 000 gold and I own a s**t load of places.

I do agree that leveling up takes a while though. Once you get past the first levels of everything... whoo! But that's why there are ALWAYS people to go and fight ^_^
