Lyssan the fox is dragging a large chest across the deck towards austin.... damn counter spells... she grumbles as she drops down beside it... there's a big hole where the captain's quarters were... and things a burning all over the place... but i found this instead... she offers hopefully... it was sitting there completely unharmed... bespelled against theft and for protection, i suspect... not a scratch on it... damn near singed me tails off getting to it... whatcha think... it be holding sometin good, yah? pirate Austin upon see ing the chest forgets the pain instead its replaced by joy of greedy pirate) Hmmm we should be able to open it and yes it is goood... twisted

the fox shape shifts into a small white haired woman and grabs for austin's arm.... dang fool pirate... don't ye know better than to grab a wizard's play toy bare handed... ye should have used silk to dampen the spells.... she concentrates for a bit and slowly the feeling comes back... causing him to flinch... no harm i can see as of yet... better have the cubling see to it once his done messing around....

*Suddenly, Austin finds the swords jumping out of his hands as the fighters call to them. The blades jump free, dancing towards the fighters, yet when they reach them, they break, elicitng curses from both*
Kero: D*** Wyvern work...it's not even worth the gold I spend on it.
Desdemon: F*** the wyverns...even demon work shouldn't shatter like that.
*The two fighters again square off, attacking each other with obvious fatigue. They're losing the energy they had all stored, and neither dares use magic for the fear of outside influences. Finally, Kero lands a blow and knocks Desdemon to the ground. Jumping on him, he plunges his hand into Desdemon's chest, pulling for all his worth. At the same time, Desdemon's hand shoots towards the onyx on Kero's head, seeking to pull it free*

*In the meantime, Kero has managed to pull a glowing object out iof Desdemon's chest with a cry of exultation. At the same time, however, Desdemon has managed to wrest away the onyx of power from Kero's brow. Both pull away from each other, their prizes clutched in their hands*
Kero: *Disgusted with himself* So we're back to square one, Desdemon. I can't believe I let you get your stone back.
Desdemon: I must reattune my prize to my magic...enjoy your hard-won heart. It has cost the rest of the world their souls. *teleports away*

fox vaguely remembers that kero had lost his onyx sometime back in a way that may have alterred it's composition... but holds her tongue... something tells her it is to their advantage that desdemon never finds this out until it is too late.....

I'm back up....and I just decieved Desdemon.

Tomorrow...I have to go soon...he's packing his things in the hopes that he will be allowed to stay on the ship. He still wants to kill Desdemon, after all.
