How did you find the Guild?

I'm a founding member of the guild, and I've only been really playing for about a year.

Seriously, coming back and seeing how the guild has grown and thrived even while RL pulled me away has made it all worthwhile. The fundraising was kind of a pain in the arse.... that's a LOT of friggin' gold! But it's so worth it. I'm glad to see that there are so many people who have found the guild and enjoyed participating in it. It means a lot to me that I've been able to make some kind of a difference. smile I'm just shocked that no one before me had thought to start a guild! wink

I was looking for an SCA guild. I looked for a Burning Man guild too, but with the dominant age group at Middle-High School level I'm not suprised there isn't one.

Start a thread or two about it, find some other folks who share your interest, then start collecting gold and create a guild for it. It worked for me! wink Seriously, you'd be surprised how many people are lurking out there who probably have an interest. And there are more non-middle-schoolers around than you think.

I was discussing Ren Faire costuming on Cosplay.com when the discussion turned to SCA and how a lot of people are kinda freaked out by it. I had never heard of it, so I was intrigued and looked it up. I immediately thought it was the best idea EVAR and thought there couldn't possibly be a Gaia guild. I was wrong and here I am.

It's been quite an adventuresome week. xd
