((Aww I feel sorry for Wes... He reminds me of myself sometimes... sweatdrop ))

Sarah glanced briefly at Max as his brows furrowed. What do you want, punk? She walked by him, knowing he'd jumped to the wrong conclusion. She heard what Max had said next, and immediately turned around. She didn't care if she was late to class now.

Sarah stopped at the edge of the stairs when she saw the look on Max's face. She snickered. Pure jealousy was clear in his eyes.

She was about to turn back to go to class, when she heard a familiar voice greeting her. She didn't even have to turn around to see who it was, but she turned anyway.

"Hey babe," she replied.

-----

"Hey," Uriah said to his girlfriend. The look of delight on his face soon turned teasing. "So, did Emily throw a book in your face, or what?" He laughed when Sarah glared at him. "Kidding," he said. "You know... you're cute when you're mad." Uriah smirked and gave Sarah a quick peck. James, who was standing beside them, rolled his eyes. "Aw, you're just jealous you don't have a girlfriend as awesome as mine."

Uriah said goodbye to Sarah, and walked off to World History with James.

((Sorry. Some things are going on and I'm definitely having some trouble. I'm here though. Puppa's on vaca right now.))

Max shrugged off Sarah's glance and took Emily's things from the boy who was helping her. He walked with her to the nurse's office, a little shocked at the boy being so willing to just pass her things over. Did he think they were dating? His mind began to wander through everything that meant, but quickly switched tracks, right now Emily was hurt.

---

James waved to Sarah as him and Uriah headed towards class. "Wonder what that was all about. I thought she didn't like kids like her and the rest of them." He readjusted the strap of his backpack and kept walking, turning the corner with his friend as he waited for an answer.

---

Elyssa and Nate walked off to to English hand in hand, the topic of their conversation mainly being their two friends.
"I say we force them on a date..." "Nate!" Elyssa laughed and shoved him lightly. "We can't do that! Just leave them alone. They're cute as they are, and there's no sense in freaking them out by shoving them into a relationship." Nate rolled his eyes, making some comment under his breath about how the longer they waited the more time Max was loosing out on a hottie. Elyssa raised her eyebrow and looked at him, trying to stifle her laugh. Assuring her she was the only one for him, they walked into class and took their normal seats.

((Oh, okay. By the way, your music is beautiful.))

Sarah made her way to class just as the bell rang. She sighed in relief as she sat down in her seat, next to Wes. When he greeted her, the glare she gave him was ice cold. As he turned away, her face softened a little. I really don't need to take this out on him. My bad day isn't his problem. She glared again, this time at herself. What am I thinking? Since when did I start caring about these... freaks? What's wrong with me???

-----

Uriah looked his friend in the face for a while. He sighed. "I don't know, man. This isn't her normal behavior. I wonder if she's okay..." He trailed off in thought. What am I thinking? Maybe it's a change that's good for her! All she did was help some one out - that's what it looked like, anyway - and I'm acussing her of being... sick! I must be the one that's sick. Ugh. What's wrong with me???

((Ha, I'm sorry. I couldn't resist.))

((I WATCHED BAMBI LAST NIGHT! :] I'm leaving Max and Nate alone because Max is just staying with Emily - I'm using the injury as an excuse not to worry about him xD - and Nate is just hanging around the class with Elyssa xD))

James shrugged and kept walking, oblivious to his friend's unusual silence. He was busy thinking about all of the stuff he'd recently figured out. Like Max and that Emily girl. When he stopped to think about it, Emily might not be that bad, it was just that Elyssa and her little friends had gotten to her first. For all he knew, under all that shy bit, she could be quite a party girl. As he entered the classroom and took his normal seat beside Uriah, James pulled out his cell and sent Sarah a text. There was definitely a bright side to being friends with the Queen Bee - she knew the gossip. ::Hey, are Max and that Emily kid together?::

---

Elyssa adjusted her bag which was by her feet before leaning back in her chair. Nate had taken his seat beside her and was drawing, his head leaned casually against her right arm. They had a little bit of time before the bell as their normal period of chatting with friends had gotten cut short with Emily's fall. A little time to think. Elyssa propped her chin with her left fist and closed her eyes. Why had Sarah Irring been talking to Emily? That didn't look good. Her group hated Elyssa and her friends, so why had Sarah gone out of her way to even take notice? Wrinkling her brow she felt a little disgusted. 'Not that Emily isn't worth noticing but...Sarah wouldn't...' She hated all of these battle lines. Since when was there a war between people like Elyssa, Nate, and Max and Sarah, Uriah, and James? And why drag Emily into it? And what about the people like Wes? Was it really necessary that things like this even exist at all?

((I love Bambi!!! I haven't seen it in YEARS, though. Yeah, that's fine with me... You know, I feel sorry for Sarah. She tried to do something nice, and they're all ganging up on her. P.S. I miss Max & Emily cry ))

Sarah looked back at Wes. She opened her mouth to apologize, but couldn't. She tried again. "Wes?" The boy turned back to her, alarmed. Sarah imagined it was from the tone of her voice. She sounded... shy. Sarah couldn't remember the last time she sounded shy. Embarrassed, maybe, but not shy. She shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts.

"Um, I'm sorry. I'd like to apologize for my... er... greeting. It was unfair. I'm... not having a very good day today, and I took it out on you. Sorry."

The boy smiled at her, and this time Sarah smiled back. See? You can be nice to people without people accusing you of things.

Sarah's vibrating phone pulled her into reality. She read James' text and laughed. James could be so clueless sometimes. "Not 'dating.' But probably soon."

-----

Uriah looked over James' shoulder, and saw that he was texting Sarah. He asked, "Dude, why are you texting my girlfriend?" Uriah laughed at the look of surprise that came over James' face. "Kidding, Dude," he said. Uriah knew he would never be jealous of James. His best friend was his best friend, after all. James would never do anything like that, would he? Of course not.

((I think that's the first time I actually got around to watching it all the way through. I bought Peter Pan on DVD last night :] I feel bad for Sarah too :[ I hate when stuff like that happens in the real world.

PUPPA COME BACK FROM VACATION!! xD))

James grinned and shoved his friend lightly. "Because you don't text her enough. " He winked and then laughed before explaining. "I had to ask her a question only she would know the answer to." He said as he flipped his phone shut and pushed it into his pocket. James didn't know how she did it, but Sarah was good at finding this sort of information out. Did she have a spy network or something? It was insane! He grinned to himself and shook his head as he took out the homework from the night before and lay it on his desk.

((Yeah, I miss Puppa too. We need Emily back!!!))

Sarah was extremely bored. She couldn't wait to see Uriah again, even though she was a little irked. Although she knew he played around a lot, it bothered her that her boyfriend had jumped - maybe just jokingly, but she couldn't be sure - to the same conclusion that everyone else had. I mean, he knows I can be a nice person sometimes... right? She shook her head again.
Sarah took her cell phone out and texted Uriah. "Hey Babe. Can't wait to see you again. <3 Sarah"

---

Uriah was still laughing at James' quip when he felt his silver RAZR vibrate. He slipped it out of his pocket while keeping an eye on the teacher. He didn't want to get in trouble now, at the beginning of school.
Uriah read his girlfriend's message and joked, "Speak of the devil, and she appears. In text form." He sent Sarah a reply. "Hey back, Sweet. Me 2. TTYL @ lunch. Urs, Uriah."

[*puffs chest out* I return! And I see that I've been missed. :3 Whoo boy, look at all the attention Emily's getting. Poor girl would probably be freaking if she was any more shy.

And-- oh, goodie! I do get to play injured arm.]

"T-thanks," Emily mumbled as the boy took her books; normally, she would have been much more polite, as he was going out of his way to help her out. Of course, normally she wouldn't be quietly nursing an arm without trying to be obvious about it. Now that she was focused on it, it was starting to hurt a bit more than when she had first noticed...

Her attention was drawn upwards as a somewhat unfamiliar voice asked if she was okay. She was able to recogize the speaker as Sarah Irring - even if she didn't talk to the girl, it was hard not to know who the most popular girl in school was - and from the tone and volume, it was almost as if Sarah was trying to not draw attention to herself. Caught in surprise that the 'Queen Bee' would bother at all - quietly or not - she could only nod in response. Even if it was a bit of a lie, the other girl seemed fine with the answer, and walked swiftly away without another word.

Moments later, Max's voice came drifting closer. She glanced down the hall to see him walking and laughing about something with Elyssa and Nate, but he changed direction upon seeing her. (She couldn't help but feel a bit pleased that he would abandon his conversation for her, without her asking.) When his questions came, she was quick to shake her head. "Sarah didn't do anything, Max. I just tripped down the stairs." Upon seeing his gaze shift towards the boy who was still awkwardly holding her books, she added, "And he was kind enough to carry my things. We were headed to the nurse..." Hopefully, that would clear everything up. Truthfully, she still felt a little embarrassed about the whole thing. The attention she was getting didn't help, either.

It seemed to clear things up, at least. The boy handed her books over to Max almost immediately, and departed before she could thank him. She hoped he would get to his class before the bell rang...

"Max, you're going to be late for class..." she couldn't help but mention as the reached the nurse's office. She could explain the situation to the teacher, and he'd probably understand, though... Oh, who was she kidding? She was glad that Max was there. "But, thanks for helping." She finished with a sweet smile as she pushed open the door with her free hand.

Almost without having to explain, she was soon situated with a pack of ice, along with instructions to come back if her arm still hurt at the end of the day - or if it started hurting any worse.

[Ta-daaaah!]

((PUPPA!!!!! *explodes with delight* YOU'RE BACK!!! Yes, you have been missed. It sucked for Sarah, not having anyone to explain that she didn't do anything to Emily. Welcome Back!!!)

Sarah felt her phone vibrate. She was halfway through reading Uriah's text, when all of a sudden, her phone disappeared. She looked up to see her teacher standing over her desk. Uh-oh. I'm in trouble now. My mom's going to kill me!

"Ms. Irring," the teacher said, mockingly. "Do you have something you would like to share there?" Her teacher looked at the open text. "Ah, what's this? 'Hey back, Sweet. Me too. Talk to you later at lunch. Yours, Uriah.' Aw, isn't that sweet class? And it's an iPhone too! My iPhone now."

Sarah gasped. "What? You can't do that! You have no right!"

The teacher just laughed and walked away, putting the phone in her desk drawer. Sarah looked around to see that everyone was staring and laughing. She blushed and hid her face. Today is not my day. Ugh.

((I'll write Uriah later.))

((AW. I want an iphone T-T))

Max nodded at Emily's answers and felt himself calm down. He knew that it wasn't right of him to jump to conclusions about Sarah the way he had, yet he couldn't help it. It was like a battlefield at this school, how should he know what was going on? As they neared the nurse's office, Max just shook his head. "Whatever. It doesn't matter if I'm late, I'll just say that I was helping you...which I am." He smiled at her, "See, I don't even have to lie to save my skin this time."

The nurse took one look and seemed to understand what was wrong, providing Emily with a pack of ice and clear instructions. "Turned out better than I thought..." He said as he held the door open for Emily on their way out. "Anyway, let's get upstairs. I'll hold your books for you." With a smile he began to walk by her side in the opposite direction of the nearest stair well. "Good thing about this little excursion is they'll take our excuse and won't know how long it took us. Let's go the long way."

As always, Max was able to come up with a good reason for him to not have to get to class. It was the obvious reason, of course, but even Emily could forget to look at the most obvious excuses from time to time. She nodded a bit, a smile in place. And on top of that, he was being very helpful. "Thanks, Max," she said as she walked carefully through the door he had just held open for her, and took her books on top of that. It certainly made things much easier, having a helpful guy around.

A slight look of confusion was on her face as he started leading her away from the staircase. "What-?" she started to ask, but he had already started on his explanation, which quickly made sense in her eyes. Her smile grew as she glanced over at him. "You have some very good ideas, Max. Sometimes, at least." The grin that accompanied the last little jab proved the joking manner. In truth, she found herself quite glad to take the excursion that Max had just proposed.

((I've finally recovered some control over my life))

Max grinned and chuckled at Emily's comment. "Hey! What is that supposed to mean? You know what? I think I'll just put your books down and run off and let you find your way back." He teased lightly. It was a little nerve wracking, being so alone with Emily like this. Not that he would do anything, it was just hard to act calm. Elyssa and Nate weren't there to expertly fill in silences if he got too nervous to say anything more.

Just as luck would have it, an unfamiliar face just so happened to be walking down the hall in their direction, looking rather lost. He was tan, with midnight blackish blue hair, and an asian accent to his features. His eyes stayed half-lidded, with a calm smile on at all times, despite the fact that... he still looked lost. Having noone else to ask, the guy stumbled upon the happy couple, and waved casually. "Oh, hey there, hi. Say... you guys wouldn't know where the, ah.... AP Biology class is right now, would ya? Its my favorite subject, and I didn't wanna miss out on it! But, y'know... my sense of direction kinda sucks, so I can't find my nose in this place, haha!" He chuckled to himself, showing off a dashing smile of pearly-whites. "Oh, yeah, name... forgot, sorry. I'm Setsumaru. Suguru Setsumaru, but ah... all the chicas back on the beach just called me Sugar. I dunno why, maybe bikini blonds can't pronounce my name right, eh? You though... you don't look like a bikini blond. Mm-mm... you look smart. I like smart." He smiled again, hands in his pockets. "I'm not askin' too much, am I? I mean... if you guys are busy...hehehe." Of course, most of what he said was directed in Emily's direction. He wasn't ignoring Max, per se, but he didn't figure the guy wanted to talk to him much, so he wasn't pressuring him.

((OMG!!! A new person!!! *squeals with delight*))

Sarah was looking out the door, grumbling to herself, when - all of a sudden - three faces caught her attention. Well, there's that one punk. I guess that's Emily - she's looking better. But... Sarah stared curiously at the third face. Who's that? I've never seen him before. He's kinda hot. But not as good as Uriah... She started daydreaming about her boyfriend, still staring in the direction of the trio. Sarah winked when the stranger met her gaze, and grinned when he winked back in response. The teacher called on her to answer the question she had just asked. "Money," she replied, beaming. "Money is the answer to everything." The rest of the class started laughing, but Sarah sighed. Today just isn't my day...
