"He doesn't deserve an excuse. He's nine years older. He needs to act like it," Adrian frowned, looking away from Cody, even if he did like the slight nuzzles from the furry dog. "I mean. . .I know I don't know what happened around here, but that doesn't mean he can shove me away and pretend I don't exist! I am human, like him." He muttered a small curse in his native tongue; he was well-aware that his company was less than friendly. Hell, Anna was planning something evil and he knew it!

"If he acted any older he'd be too boring." Yukiko looked at Adrian. She knew Alex could sometimes act like. . . well, a tiny bit like her brother Alexander, but although Alexander could hold a grudge for an impressivly long time, Adrian really didn't do much bad to Alex. "Maybe you should just give him a little time to get used to you, ya know?"

Cody nodded in agreement with yuki, she was right. Still he couldnt help snickering at what adrian had said...silly child. "Doesnt deserve an excuse? Heh if his excuse were something stupid id agree with you pup, but its not" the dog grinned nipping adrians leg when the boy snapped angrily about his sibling. "Child, your hilarious..and have absolutely no clue. Alex treats everyone like that, even his best friends" letting out a small yawn, he wondered if he should explain to adrian how he may be the only one here who was human. True..all the others were human to some degree, but with their powers..well it made them all a bit more then human, much more.

Adrian rolled his eyes. "Some friend he is, then," he said, looking away stubbornly from Cody and Yukiko. He still didnt think Alex deserved the right to an excuse, no matter what. Being a jerk was being a jerk. End of story.
Yuri stirred lightly, rolling over onto her back before opening her eyes, blinking until she could adjust to the light. She then sat up slowly, stretching then letting her right arm fall across her stomach. Beside her, she noticed Dakota, smiling softly and carefully scratching her behind her ear so she wouldnt wake her up.

Cody lowered his ears, not liking firstly that the boy was ignoring their words, he had a good reason of course, but still he had to understand this was sudden on alex. Alex hadnt been prepared to meet adrian, the whole encounter had just been sprung on him..
Adrian had a right to think alex was being a jerk, but not to think of him as a bad friend. "Adrian..you just met him didnt you? Give him some chance" the dog chided reaching up and nipping at the boys elbow this time.

Yukiko stared at Adrian and then laughed a little. "You are pretty clueless. He's a good friend. A really good one. Just because he's cranky a lot doesn't mean he's like that all the time. "He has a right to be suspicious of everyone he first meets, too. And now, especially anyone who is near that old man," she said, of course, referring to Shiro. She hear his name, but old man seemed more fitting to her. It just did. "But as I said, you should just give him a while."
Dakota yawned and rolled over. She opened her eyes half-way and looked at Yuri. Her leg twitched slighty.

"Fine. But that doesn't mean I have to like it," Adrian grumbled, not even acknowledging when Cody nipped at him. Alex was still being a jerk. "I don't get it. He should at least have some reaction other than anger. I mean, come on! How often to you get to meet your younger brother after nineteen years?"
Yuri slowly got out of bed, flattening out her skirt and shirt, running a quick hand through her hair to at least make it half-way decent. Rick was, obviously, not there. She hoped Alex was able to keep him entertained. Sighing slightly, she walked out of the child's bedroom, glancing towards the living room and pausing in her steps; Cody and Yukiko were there, as well as. . .Alex? No, this boy was too young. "Did Ai fail trying to clone Alex again?" she asked in her naturally soft voice.

Cody gave yuki a big grin, he indeed loved her personality always would..to think it had only been nine years since theyd first met. He was glad shin had picked her as his mate. "He has other siblings child, a younger sister and an older brother.." cody remarked quietly blinking when he heard yuris voice, he hadnt expected her to be up. "I hope not, one is hard enough to deal with..two would give me a heart attack" cody smirked snuffing at adrians arm..yuri, it was glad to see her back. "Welcome home though"

"No one said you had to." When he asked about how often the event occured, she mumbled, "Probably about as often as your older brother tries to kill you for years. . ." Then, "Not that oftten I guess," she said loud enough for him to hear.
Dakota rolled out of the bed and followed Yuri out. She smelled Cody. When Yuri paused in her steps, though, Dakota kept going and sniffed the boy after licking the side of Cody's face. She stood up on her hind legs, putting her front paws on his stomach, and licked his face, her eyes asking him to pet her.
"That's not cloning, that's Adrian."

"Mm. . .I know what you mean. He was such a handful back when we met his mother," Yuri agreed, walking over to the couch and sitting next to Adrian, petting Cody on his head, scratching behind his ears. Then she looked up the teen beside her. "So this is definitely not a clone. You must be Adrian, right?"
"H-How do you know my name?" Adrian asked, suddenly feeling very weirded out. Who was Ai? And what did this woman mean, failed clone? He was not a clone! He was very much human!
"We met your mother," Yuri replied simply with a small smile.
"My moth--woah, wait! You're my sister-in-law!" Adrian suddenly yelped, backing as far away from her as possible while still on the couch. She was beautiful! "How did Alex manage to get hooked up with a girl like this!" he demanded, feeling slightly irked when Yuri only laughed.
Alex rubbed his temples with one hand, sighing before looking at Rick, who seemed to be having a stroke of artistic inspiration with his spaghetti and sauce. Either that or he liked making him clean up after him. "Try to keep your food either in your plate or your mouth, please."
"'Kay!" Rick giggled, thoroughly managing to ignore his father's request, though he stopped and decided to eat after a while; why waste the perfectly good food is father made?

Dakota jumped onto the couch next to Yuri and nuzzled her cheek.
Yukiko looked at Yuri. "Is Ai anywhere near now? Kai's been bored lately, and Laura almost squished him. Then I think Dakota almost ate him."
"Well he shouldn't have been carrying food bigger than him around," she barked to Yukiko. "I told him to stop," Yukiko replied and shrugged.

Cody gave dakota a lick back, watching the three humans talk with each other, also hearing rick happy off in the other room. He wondered if shin would come here soon? Of course the man didnt know his best friend had come home yet..hmm..maybe he should change that soon.

Yuri thought for a moment before holding her hand out, a small blue flame forming and shaping into the little blue sprite, Ai, who stretched and happily floated over to Yukiko, hovering in front of the woman and waiting patiently.
Adrian suddenly felt the need to run as fast as he could out of the house, yet at the same time he was sure he wouldn't be allowed to leave. But she just-! Where did thosecflames come from, anyway! Or that. . .thing! That little flying sprite. . .fire. . .thing. . .dammit.
Alex blinked as he looked at Rick, the child looking back and grinning happily. If the man couldn't see the sauce practically everywhere but on the walls and child, he'd have felt proud of his son for successfully eating his food without having it all over himself. "Hey, kiddo. Go outside and see if Mum's up."
"'Kay!" Rick giggled, crawling off the chair and dashing into the living room, cheering and tackling Yuri when he saw her. "Mommy! You're awake!"

Red flames hopped out from Yukiko's hand. They swirled around in the air for a second before diappearing. Kai was in the middle of them, there in his red scarf. He floated in circles around Ai. Dakota licked Rick's face when he hopped out. Yukiko turned her head and looked at Adrian. "Somthing wrong?" she asked.

"Actually, yes. I'm trying to figure how fire can spontaneously appear in blue and red," Adrian said, staring at Kai and Ai; those things were not normal. And by now, he was sure he could make any psychiatrist very happy. "What? Do the dog and kid shoot flames, too?"
"Silly Uncle! Doggies can't play with fire! Their fur would burn," Rick said happily, cuddling into Yuri more when Dakota licked him, though he eventually just got comfortable in his mother's lap then hugged Dakota. "Hi, 'kota!"
"T-That's not what I meant. . ."
Alex started cleaning up by taking Rick's bowl and cutlery over to the sink, leaving it there for now while he went back to the table and brought the placemat over. In a way, he was glad that everything (or half of everything) ended up on the mat, with the rest devoured by Rick. Troublesome kid.
A quick rinse of everything and the plate and cutlery were back in the dishwasher while the mat was put back in place. Alex, though, looked under the table to find that Button had moved and any other traces of sauce had vanished. Shaking his head slightly, he decided to just ignore it and walked back into the living room, glad to see Yuri awake and well.
