Nina skipped to her room and searched through her belongings for her school stuff. After her books were located, she stuffed them all into a blue and black checkered mesenger bag and slung it over her shoulder. Departing from her room, she slid down the banaster, getting to the bottom in seconds.
"Ready!" She announced once her feet touched the floor

Skunk Blossoms Letty looked up to Adrianna, then to Ana as she held out her hand. She nodded shyly and took her hand, tightening her grip around Aristotle with her other arm. Letty had a fondness for the twins, especially Anastacia. She was always so kind to her, and both of them were very pretty. But, of course, she was too shy to make a comment like that to them. Even though she wanted to, her small pink lips were glued shut, simply smiling sheepishly up at them instead.
The twins lookt he same, but were so different.
Crystalina was the serious, quiet one that knew that everything wasn't perfect, that knew not all dreams came true and not all lives are finished with a happy ending.
Anastacia was the louder twin. She loved to have fun, even in the midst of danger and threats. She was a dreamer, the glass was half full in her view...

Zine awoke to the abandoned building he had snuck into the night before, cold sweat dripping from the same nightmare he had every night. He could still feel the vile energy of the beast permeating his being...his soul...and knowing that as things stood...it was so much more than just a bad dream. He shook off the feeling of dread, pulling breakfast from the backpack at his side, a pack of peanut butter crackers and a small water bottle filled with grape juice. He savored the meal in silence, rising slowly with a sigh, knowing he would have to find more food today...or it would take over and find it for him. He leapt from the window he had entered, landing from the 2nd story drop like it was a small hop, then making his way down the street...

((Hoooo boy! Sorry for my absence everyone, I needed a little break.....>.< And now....))
Barely contained chaos ensued as all the children gathered together in one of the round foyers of the house. The school itself was located a rather far distance from where Haven was situated on it's hill so, like many of the other families, a portal connected Haven to the school. The portal path was checked often just to make sure that no one had messed with it. Lunches were given out, each parcel had the owners name on it so that no one was confused as to who's lunch was whos.
"Alright. You all remember to wait for all everyone to get to the portal before coming home. If one of you has to stay after, inform the group so that no one is left behind, okay?" She called over the din of many young voices pretty much talking all at once.

Alan took his lunch and wrapped it placing it in his bag. He nodded at Ms. Constance instruction. She always said the same things every day. He stood slightly off to the side of the gathering children in the foyer his bag clenched tightly in his left hand. He hoped no one had to stay late, he hated staying longer then he had to at school.

Luke was much quieter during breakfast than he usually was, mainly because he had a test today in advanced electrodynamics. This was his first year in graduate school, and he was working toward a Master's Degree in theoretical physics. The fact that the subject was profoundly interesting to him didn't do much to offset the fact that the course material was more difficult than banging a square peg through a round hole.
Luke finished his breakfast and fetched his schoolbooks from his room. He returned to the foyer and handed his car keys to Constance (he'd saved up enough money over the years to buy an old '86 Corolla). "Hey, Constance, would you mind holding onto these for me today? I've got a big test pretty soon that involves an electromagnet, and I can get there without the vehicle now."

Zine moved with the step of a predator, hunted himself by what he could not fathom. He usually sought to earn his food, but was aware of the dangers...if he fell below a certain energy level, the next he woke up would be around dead bodies. He moved past a few places, the more crowded the better, pick-pocketing many of the busy men and women around. Even as he arrived at the amount he needed to survive for a short while, he stumbled into a dark alley, feeling a familiar but unknown pain. His breathing grew deeper, his eyes unseeing, a red ring around each pupil as his visitor took over...emanating an aura of power and lust for destruction...

Nina bobbed her head up and down in understanding, a huge smile on her face. She went over her day's activities, and none of them, unless they ran over, should make her have to stay after school today.
She took out a blank card and placed her lunch on top of it, the card absorbing the package of food and showing the picture of the it on top.
"Ready whenever!" She announced.

Constance took the keys and patted Luke on his cheek twice, "You're wearing your costume early too?" She chuckled, "You might scare some of your classmates." She murmered, slipping the keys somewhere safe on her person, "Alright, everyone has their lunches?" She eyed them, sharp gaze assesing each child, all were dressed fully, all had their lunches, no sleep in their eyes, no smudges on their noses....good.
The floor underneath the children began to glow and their clothes began to float as if they were under water and they'd all have a slightly weightless feeling as the portal charged up, "I love you all. Have a good day at school!" She called, "Good luck on that test of yours, Luke."
A moment later there was the sound of a POP! And then then they were no longer at home but in one of the many portal arrival points at school. Children were appearing in other arrival points around them and hurrying towards the main building of the rosy colored building.

Alan sighed as he rose in the air before "popping" into the school. He gave an exasperate sigh as he slowly made his away out of the grand "popping" hallway. What was his first class of the day? He mused...that's right English. He gave another exasperate sigh. That class is so boring... He moved forwards his head down watching the floor in front of him as he walked. Seems someone left gum on the floor... he stepped over it easily and continued on.

Nina felt the homey feel of the air around her disappear, to be replaced by the flora smell of the school court yard. As the weightlessness slowly diluted to gravity, she took her hands off her skirt, as they held the cloth in place to prevent any 'accidents'.
"Lets see, lets see." She pondered aloud. "I have... biology first, I think." She strode off towards the east wing of the building, taking the more scenic route as the teacher normally popped in the class late himself.

Alan placed himself in the back as normal his head resting on his arms. He listen the teacher droning on and on about comas or something. Alan didn't really know, the conversation of the kids and the teacher blabbing blended together nicely. It soon became a lovely den of noise that brought Alan closer to a light sleep.
A book slammed against a desk with a loud smack causing Alan to jump up. His eye wide as he looked straight a head and looked up the teacher hovered over him. He looked up at her wide eyed. "Could you please tell what the problem with the sentence is?" She asked pointing at the sentence on the black board. "Ummm..."Alan stared at it for a while. The cat has black fur red fur and brown fur. "There needs to be a coma after black fur, and one after red fur, and one before and." Alan said easily before placing his head back on his hands. The teacher gave a humph but left him alone for the rest of class.

"Wait," Letty said, too late as she was 'popped' through the portal. She could've sworn she had smelt something wrong at Haven, like the stench of a new person she hadn't come in contact with before. But, of course, it was too late. She walked along with the twins into the school, scampering off to her classroom. Although she didn't really learn anything this day, it was simply a free class, and she ended up drawing pictures with Aristotle right by her side the whole time. Perhaps the teachers were planning for their own parties, or getting ready to go to one. Little Letty smiled sweetly to everyone who complimented her on her outfit, but her mind kept wandering back to the unfamiliar scent she had smelled back at Haven right before they were sent through the portal. The pictures she drew were only figures, outlines of a man whom she'd never seen.

Nina slumped in her chair. Biology was such a bore, especially when they were going over the properties and uses of fire. Like she didn't know how to work her favorite cards! Substitute teachers always assumed they were working with grade schoolers.
Absentmindedly, she pulled a card out of her pocket, feeling for a fire element. She glanced at it, grinning at the 'Ring of Fire' card.
"Excuse me, Ms. Nina, but is there something you'd like to share with the class?" Mr. Chambo asked, thinking she pulled out a cell phone.
"Not unless I'd like to get suspended for arson!" She said cheerfully. The teacher scowled, and went back to the chalk board. A few snickers and giggles were silenced as soon as he glared at the class.
