My name is quintessentially English. I'd like it a lot if I didn't share it with about fifty thousand other people. But I don't know what I'd change my name to if given the chance. I used to love the name Emma, but there are just as many Emmas in Britain as there are people with my name!

Veruniel My name is quintessentially English. I'd like it a lot if I didn't share it with about fifty thousand other people. But I don't know what I'd change my name to if given the chance. I used to love the name Emma, but there are just as many Emmas in Britain as there are people with my name! I actually kind of like the name Emma, mainly because it's not very common in the USA and it just sounds nice to me.

If I could change it I would leave it as it is.
First, so I wouldnt have to get used to a new name.
Two, So my friends wouldnt have to.
Three, My daddy chose that name for me. =]

Growing up I always wanted to change my first name, it's very common, but I've made peace with it.
I suppose there's still a small part of me that wouldn't mind being called Lilianna, Ailith, or Willow, something like that. But I think I'll stick with what I have.
Might be fun to take over the nickname Ladyhawke though. Geez, I sound like such a dork.

My name was Erin, I changed it legally to Distance.
I was going through a very bad time in my life and wanted to reinvent myself.
It was far more constructive than thinking about something silly like suicide, I thought!
I do feel a little bad about it sometimes, since my mum gave me my name and it was like throwing away a present now I think about it.
