Ah, I had one cat that I was constantly calling Pretty Kitty, even though her name was completely not that. And I call my neighbor's cat Marmalade Kitty, even though I've been told her name several times before.

All my cats have nicknames. Now that I think about it, some of these are kind of odd if you don't know the animal. . .
Tony - Lard Bag, Lardy, Fat Cat, Tony-kins
Yuffie - Sweetie, Girly girl
Aria - Slut, Spaghetti, Becky, Little Girl
Tango - Boy-yo
Phoenix - Runty, Phoenix Baby
Chompy - Chomp-a-saur
I'm sure there are more, but I've forgotten what they are off the top of my head.

Monkey= monk, monkers, mankey, cupcake, princess or queen monkey (b/c shes mean to the other animals for no reason)
Edward Fay Wong Pau Pepe De La Bruski IV = edward, ed, eddy, fat girl, edvard (or barvaria), edwardo, piggy
(she was named after edward from Cowboy Bebop b/c shes crazy)
Gato= fat boy, retard, fatty
(bf's cat, i wouldnt have named him that)
i guess my cats dont have good nick names hahaha i never realized that xp

I also never end up calling them by the name I give them. I call him CHICOUSH or CHI mostly. Or sometimes ankle bitter and pickles, although recently I started calling him Stimpy, Stumpy and Gimpy. Which I know is so mean (because he only has 3 legs and a stump for the 4th), but it's an expression of love and because I feel I can joke about it now because he has recovered from his lost limb so well. Than goodness he doesn't know what it means. heart

My cat's name is Kiwi, but we usually never call her that. XD
My mom makes up some awesome nicknames for her.
Kiwi = Toddy, Puppa or puppy, Tootoo, Muffin
We also talk to her in baby talk. She likes that. whee
