LOLZ I R TEH SEX If you don't count the lame a** scene people and mallgoths, I would say its about even. I think the hardcore punk scene is more 'anti-scene'. In the Goth scene, its pretty valid to dress with the look and carry the label and network within. The hardcore punk subculture is really different, and their definition of 'scene' is really negative, but in Goth I don't think we have that. But trust me, it doesn't carry over into Goth, the 'scene' kids here are pretty valid. Its the ones who don't know what Goth actually is before claiming that you have to worry about.

Me and my fiancée are technically Gothic we like all kinds of rock and metal though. We don't really fit into a specific category. Sometimes I go for cybergoth but I prefer Gothic Lolita which is preponderantly female as that is what Lolita is all about but I also like modernised 16th/17th Century dress. My fiancée favours the gentlemanly look with frills and likes modernised 16th/17th Century dress.
In the ratio scheme of things I notice more girls than guys but then again girls tend to wear flashier outfits and therefore stand out more. Also I'm bi and my fiancée sort of prefers me looking at girls to guys.
