well whenever anyone asks this question it changes daily. of course that is based on the fact that evry section in my entire band and school sucks so its a never ending cycle of sucky instruments

This year I'm not too annoyed by any instruments.
But last year the flutes and horns really annoyed me... because the people who played them weren't playing them right. I'm not a huge fan of flutes in the first place so they especially got on my nerves.

Okay, how many people here have ever stood next to a piccolo during pep band? They scream as loud as they play, and the ear-piercing shrieks from the instrument can't be good for anyone...

As stupid as this sounds...Flute. I play flute, and it's pretty and all...but so many freaking people play it! And usually they suck when they do play...it just makes me wanna break people's faces in. Plus people always say the flute is soooo easy, but really it's not...yes it's easy for us, but we've played what three years? My second is Trombone...only because I wanted to play but my arms were to short to reach the D.... OBOE BECAUSE USUALLY IT SOUNDS LIKE SHIZZZZ!!! Unless played right, then it still sounds kinda bad.... Then I'd say Contra Alto Clarinet, it's not high enough to be a clainet, but not low enough to be a tuba...why don't they just call it a wannabe saxaphone?!?!

Out of those, I'd say piccolo. I should know, I play one XD I have to use earplugs when I play most of my songs to protect my eardrums....
YAY HIGH C! biggrin
Other than that, a recorder. IT's like a piccolo with a cold.... ><

The alto sax, when there are many of them. The tunning is horrible with over 2 of them. I understand it can sound good if there's 1 good player but other than that no thanks. I say this from the experience of sitting behind hmmm 13 saxes, most of whom didn't play well.
