It is a great series, but I have to say I wasn't too taken with the movie.. Was it just me or was there no chemistry between the actors? I felt like they had no connection, as if they were acting on their own rather than responding to eachother.. I hope the next movie is better.

I loved the books, but was a little disappointed with the films, I didn't think she was a very good Bella she lacked the emotion that Bella feels and I just didn't connect with her the way I did in the book. Hopefully when New Moon is released she will be better, I want to see how she does the scene where he leaves her!

I've read only Twilight, and franky I found the book to be average.
Why? Well, character development only really occured for Bella & Edward, while there were so many interesting characters that really just got shafted and introduced when needed. In short, they were all walking plot devices.
The plot was... well, I'll say that it's original as I have never read a book like Twilight, but the plot really just consists of Bella trying to get with Edward. I know that there are books with plots almost as boring, but this really had nothing compelling to it. It's just the life of a teenager whom everyone loves but is attracted to the only sparkling vampire in her age group.
"Adventure Ho!" - Nostalgia Critic
And don't try to tell me that the plot gets better as the series goes on or that I didn't look in too deep enough. The first impression was enough to allow me to read through the entire book, but not for a second runthrough nor for me to borrow any of the other three.
Oh, and the symbolism (cover) of the book is wasted, as no one ever says that their love is forbidden except for Edward, who, of course, still goes along with it anyway.
P.S. This book is so predictable it might as well have a gypsy ball with a credited psychic foretelling me the entire series.

I have read all of them. The first time I read them I loved it and couldn’t put it down. The second and third time I read the series I looked deeper into it and thought… its not as good as everyone makes it out to be. I did like the book. All the books kept my attention and that’s hard to do with books. I don’t know where sparkling vampires came from though. I mean since when do vampires sparkle in sunlight. I love vampires but when it comes to twilight I am teem Jacob. All and all, I liked the books. The movies on the other hand they where awful. The only thing I like about the movies is that they did a good job with the wolfs and the Volturi. Everything else, and I mean EVERYTHING other than the wolfs and the Volturi, I hated.
