Well, I am currently 7th alto. Which I dont think its that bad, we have 63. The Saxophone Bus is always fun, and we have the potential to get a little wild. But when its said and done and the bottles have been counted. . . The Saxophones always manage to march perfectly, even with a couple of drinks in all of us. At least we dont dare contend with the Trombones, sure there are over 100 of them but 15 gal of Vdk in 2 hrs . . . D***
BTY when our band travels to football games, we take 28 grey-hounds

What do you even do with a band that big?? We only take 7 because we don't want to march over 400. A band that big would make cleaning drill a living nightmare...especially if you do over 160 pages...it's hard enough with just the 375 that we had... eek

Anyways, my story was back when I marched with a DCI corps called Esperanza. There were many times where the air conditioner would go out on the bus....and since it was so f'n hot 98% of the times, we'd usually end up getting pretty much naked---boys and girls alike. Every now and then, there'd be someone driving by on the highway or something staring at the bus; we'd all get up at one time, run to one side of the bus, and stare at the driver.
The person would speed up not too long afterwards.... -sigh- those were good times.

Bus stories? every bus-trip is a bus-story with my band ... I think my favorite was the first bus trip this year. Our whole band on one school bus. Guess who got stuck sitting in the only three-to-a-seat seat? ... yeah. Alright, real bus story ... Well, there -is- our bus song ... Hail to the bus driver, bus driver bus driver Hail to the bus driver, bus driver lady/man S/he drinks and s/he cusses and wrecks all the buses Hail to the bus driver, bus driver lady/man!

well ther are quite a few funny stories i could tel but this one is my favorite. me and a group of friends allways sit in the very beck of the charter and when it got dark on the way home our drum-major got up to go to the bathroom, first of all the door was backwards and we made a sign telling you to push on the door (no one read the sign and stood there like idiots) and he couldnt get it open like every one elise who went to the bathroom and we locked him in once he got in to the bathroom.
it was the funniest thing in the world. he freaked out and started banging on the door like maniac. it was quite funny till one of the chaperones began to notice but it was qite fun while it lasted.

Okay so im a deep sleeper and we were traveling from VA to FL and it was taking forever. I usually don't sleep on buses but the night before i was soo excited so i did an all nighter (bad idea when u have AP!) anywayz its about 2-3am and i finally fell asleep, my friend (male) sleeping on the floor apparently i rolled ontop of him and woke him up so they thot it would be funny to "drag" me down the aisle and lay me next to our totally hot drum major who i had a major crush on at the time. however he's a jerk...tho it's hilariously cute ^.^....when we got to micky d's for b-fast he woke me up my poking me in the forehead for 10-15 min while ppl took pictures...when i woke up i freaked out cuz i went from having the back seat to a seat in the middle will J poking my forehead and seniors/juniors taking stupid pics...it was humiliating but danngg i must say im a cutie when i sleep ^.~ lol jk

oh.... where to start.... so many things happen on our band bus. To many "you had to be there" moments. If I were to tell them, you probably won't find them funny, unless you knew our band.

Lol, ive got one.
We just got done performing at our first WinterPercussion competition
Me, and two of my friends decided to go ahead and change back into our normal clothes. Then we see our band director making a bee-line to the bus looking for us. We were like Oh S**T, so we quickly ran out of the bus and in the opposite direction so we wouldnt get cuaght. Then, the rest of the band had to go change on the bus, one of my guy friends came back, and said they were acting like there was a strp party going on. rofl
But, BD found out we ditched and we got in trouble lol.

Okay, there's a guy in band that has really long hair. Like, longer than most of the girls. He always lets me play with it. Only me. So on the bus to a game, I told him to sit in the seat in front of me so I could play with his hair. Then one guy was like, "Ooh you guys are so cute. Make sure you use a condom Dylan." Cuz that's his name. And everyone was sitting down around us, minding their own business, and in reaction to what Jonesy (condom guy) said, I shouted, "I am not having sex with him!" So naturally everyone looked up. Then after a while, I noticed that my folder was broken and I was like, "How the hell did that happen?"
Jonesy:It was under the mattress. Right Dylan. (laughs)
Me:Okay, you can just shut up. I'm never gonna sleep with Dylan.
Dylan:Wow I feel so loved.
Me:It's okay, I still love you.
Jonesy:See.
Me:That doesn't mean I'm sexually attracted to him.
So I stop playing with Dylan's hair and fix my folder. When I look up, Jonesy had moved next to Dylan and was mocking me by playing with his hair and making sex noises. So I hit him repeatedly. It was amazing.

Band stories? Oh so many. One time we were going to Disney World, and the bus broke down for about 4 hours. The driver got lost coming back from DW to our hotel...and it was supposedly a straight shot. Same bus driver fell asleep on the way back home to good ole NC, and we had to go waaay out of our way to get a new one.
The next year, the SAME bus driver...hit a pole.
Outside of marching band, we were once going to AllCounty band, and on the way to lunch, about halfway through the clinic, we only had one activity bus for about oh...50 people. One seat had five whole people in it. The girl on top thought it would be funny to give out free lap dances. Those poor poor freshman boys.
I'm sure I've got more, but that's all I can think of now. hehe.

we are in drumline season right now...well everytime we have to sing rhapsody in blue on the way to compitition, and we have to sing we are the champions on the way home whenever we win... well if you decide not to sing well let's just say you are yelled at. our town just got bumped up to open class and we are working harder then ever.

Well, not the funniest, but on the bus for a short field trip, I have a friend that hates to have his picture taken, and we were all trying to take his picture, and my other friend started to pull my hair and then it just got crazier.

Well, this isn't really a crazy story, but we rode a new bus today and I loved the "new bus smell"! It's just like carpet samples.
