[Romiette] In Holly Black's book "Tithe" she brirfly mentions shonen ai (but she actually means yaoi) and one of the male characters sort of falls in love with a dark faerie lord person. Are you talking of the " Spiderwick Chronicles" ?

Are you talking of the " Spiderwick Chronicles" ? Isn't that a children's series? I doubt it'd reference yaoi, even briefly.

Holly Black has released three rather dark faerie tales for teenagers titled "Tithe" "Valiant" and "Ironside". "Tithe" has a gay main character.. well, he's not THE main character but very important. You get fanservice of him and mr. MWAHAHA SEXY ELF MASOCHIST GUY~
Allow me to give you my favorite line from the book!
Kaye: Did he hurt you? Corny: Not more than I wanted him to...

Dracavia I adored Totally Joe. It was such a cute book. Other then that, there are only three books I have read with gay characters in them: Pretty Things, You Are Not A Stranger Here, and Rainbow Boys. There's also three others that I have heard of but haven't read: So Hard To Say, Getting It, and The God Box. They're all by Alex Sanchez, the same guy who wrote Rainbow Boys. To add, I've recently discovered another book called A Secret Edge. It's by Robin Reardon, and it looks pretty good. I haven't read it yet, but I've ordered it from the bookstore and it should be in soon. 3nodding

Sushii-Princess Skizzors My friend was reading Wraethu and showed it to me.. weirded me out @_@. xD I was recommended it by a heterosexual, male classmate... for the good of all men, I do hope he's straight xD Or better still, asexual.
So it's creepy? [(it's spelled Wraeththu, btw)]
[And, it's not really creepy, it's quite sweet, the main plot is a love story between two of the main characters] [(All the characters are technically hermaphrodites but are referred to as males)] [I really recommend it (Or anything else by the writer) 4laugh ]

Try reading Poppy Z. Brite's older novels (Exquisite Corpse, Lost Souls, Drawing Blood) If you like horror novels with homoerotica in them. They are not for the faint of heart, especially Exquisite Corpse. And don't blame me if you get grossed out by that one (Though it's my favorite) because it has some VERY gross points. Poppy Z. Brite is my favorite author.
