::She chuckled, just a little... even more so at Jamie's suffering:: I couldn't resist it... such young innocence...
Ehhhh... I'm not much good at walking just now for a walking nomad... so might as well drop in...
::She paused, wondering how many more beasts might have been in earshot before she spoke again:: And I know this is going ta sound quite pathetic, but would you mind lending a paw inside?
I'm a mite out of balance here...

Eula shot Fenya a warning glance. "No making moves on me."
She walked over to the fox and put an arm around her back, letting Fenya lean on her. "You'll have to carry that monstrous sword. Come on, let's get inside. I miss it more now that I'm here."

::And Fenya indeed let her weight, surprisingly quite a bit of weight for someone of her build; but she did indeed keep moving with her sword as said; ; a simple mouthed aside 'thanks' barely escaped as to avoid any more embarrassed as they worked their way in, back to a somewhat abashed Jasmine::
Well... perhaps we want to let everyone know our friends are back? ::She called to a guard atop the walls, who in turn curtly nodded and went off and away; another set watching the gates to close them once all beasts were in and accounted for::
Or perhaps you'd like me to fix up Fenya here... she is somewhat... undone looking... ::She eyed a growing trail of gauze behind her::
Not without a bucket of ale... ::She moaned slightly::

"I'm pretty sure you've had a good deal more than a bucket's worth of ale, Fenya" Quoth Donato with amusing primness. He cast a glance at the trail of gauze. "Yeah, probably ought to take care of that."

Eula helped Fenya into the abbey with a nod. "I think we could all use something to eat after that trip," she said with a small sigh, a sigh of content to FINALLY be back at Redwall. Any previous doubt she'd had about leaving Salamandastron and returning here melted away, forgotten. She flicked a momentary glance in Donato's direction for seemingly no particular reason, but then she looked away to reacquaint herself with the abbey.
"Hmm, now that you mention it," Jamie said as he walked into the gatehouse. He looked around, soaked in every little detail in curiosity. "I'm flippin' starved."

Following everyone into the abbey a pace or two behind the others, Donato looked around tentatively, taking firm steps as if to assure himself that he was actually home. Well, it didn't look much different.... He caught Eula's glance, but didn't have a chance to react before she had looked away again. He blinked, then shrugged mentally as he continued inside.

::It seemed most of the abbey had surrounded them; but they had the dinner table all to themselves; although Fenya took up two or three spaces for herself; food and drink all around her that she scarfed down healthily, trying to give half a story throughout it; snitchings and exaggerations and many half truths and many other things scattered althroughout::
Will you hold still? ::That was Jasmine's only question as she fought to try and properly dress Fenya's many wounds where the dressings were coming undone; the two shared a small moment of argument, but Fenya overcame with much more support from eager dibbuns wanting to hear the rest of the stories::
Hearing words of Fenya to make me sad I could not join upon your journeying, mon ami... ::Having came from the many beasts, Rosa stood there with a smile upon Eula; only a sling remained of any reminder of her injuries she had when they had last met; but her smile remained constant, and a sleeping babe Antoine lay curled in her arms:: Et ees good to seeing you again; and everybeast else here!

Eula and Donato had been able to tell the story up until the point that they were attacked by the scorpions on the return journey from Camp Tussock. This was when Fenya had joined the group, and this was when Fenya decided to take over the story. Eula gave up, having lost the thread of the story somewhere around when all of them had been dangling from a cliff and Fenya single-handedly (pun intended) rescued them all.
She contented herself with listening to Fenya's version as she ate and drank Redwall's always delicious spreadout gratefully. Eventually she pushed her plate away from her and rested an elbow on the table and cupped her chin in her paw. She yawned a bit and glanced around the Great Hall, picking out all the familiar faces as if to reassure herself they were indeed still there.
The long, black-tipped ears perked at a familiar voice. She turned and saw Rosa, and she paused, then smiled half-guiltily at the skunkmaid. "It's good to be back," Eula replied with a small nod. "And, I must say, good to see you're all right."
Jamie wanted nothing of the fame that the others had managed themselves, for he had indeed played little to no part in the story that was now being related. Instead, he took full advantage of everything the abbey had to offer in terms of food and drink. He'd never in his life seen so many good things to eat, and all the wonderful sights, smells and tastes were almost a sensory overload.

Donato allowed Eula to tell most of the tale, volunteering bits here and there. He focused mainly on the faces in the Great Hall and on the food before him. Determined to put everything from his mind (at least for the moment) besides the fact that he was finally home, Donato was quite enjoying Fenya's harrowing, if somewhat inaccurrate, tale. An amused smile still hung about his features as he turned to face Rosa when she came up. "Well, hullo Rosa. You're looking better."
((Hum. I just realized that Rosa has an Italian/Spanish name, but she speaks French. That amuses me...))

{Attempts to summarize Ather/Sasha's absence jksdhfkjlasdkf}
::She was there, alright. Listening to the stories of the battle and smirking here and there when an obvious lie was told from Fenya's large mouth. But she wasn't really talking with anyone. She'd greeted them when they all came back, of course, but now she really had nothing left to say to any of them.
Seth hadn't come back. She should have known, but some part of her...the stupid part that kept hope, thought he would have been there. Thrown his duties aside to come back to the place she knew he belonged. But he hadn't. He wasn't there. And he wasn't coming back.::
::Ather had be relatively quiet since their return back to Redwall. Not only did he not know a soul there, he wasn't as pleased with himself as he would have liked. He didn't get a victory stab at a scorpion...he'd gotten stabbed himself. His shoulder was still bound in now lightly blood soaked bandages. The sting it gave him came back half way through the trek back to Redwall, but the raccoon ignored it. He'd been quiet since the medicine he was given to help ease the pain had worn off. His loose tongue tightened again and he'd barely said a word. Now, sitting in the Great Hall, he merely listened to his comrades speak of the battles, not caring it had been exaggerated a bit here and there. What would you expect from Fenya? The food he'd been given was untouched in front of him, and his eyes were listless and gazing forward into his cup of whatever they were serving as drink. It was a dark red, probably an alcohol of some sort. He wasn't hungry, or thirsty. A part of him wished he could enjoy the festivities of the welcome feast...he had a new place to stay, a new beginning. He broke his stare with his drink to look around the room. Unfamiliar, and yet friendly faces were all around him.
He'd never felt more alone in his life::

Eula looked around and he saw Ather just sitting there, staring mindlessly at seemingly nothing in particular. She frowned a little, looking around in the crowd now, wondering where Terra was. It suddenly occurred to her that she had made a mistake and Terra really wasn't related to Ather. Though that seemed like a REALLY slim chance....
She bit her lip and left Rosa to talk with Donato and walked over to Ather, taking a seat beside him. "Hey, why aren't you eating? This is prime stuff here. You'll never taste anything like Redwall food." She pushed a plate towards him. "Come on, cheer up."
Eula turned slightly, seeing Sasha, who seemed rather detached. She'd deal with her later...

::He didn't even force a smile as Eula bounded over toward him. He did look at her, though, giving a small nod as his food was pushed further to him. He knew Eula meant well, but he really just wanted to sit there by himself for awhile.::
ATHER?! ::the voice struck through the great hall, over taking any other conversation that could have possibly been going on. Although one word, it was obvious whoever spoke it was hysterical. The small crowd that had gathered by the entrance to the great hall made a few noises a small raccoon pushed her way through them. Her eyes were filled with tears, wide and hopeful. Someone had said they'd seen a raccoon come back from Salamandastron. It had to be him. It just had to be.::
::He looked up, eyes shooting to the sound of his name, and for a moment he thought he was dreaming. His mouth opened, probably to try and call out his sister's name, but he didn't make a sound. Almost in a daze, he stood up. Everyone else in the room faded away and all he could see was Terra. His sister. She was alive....Alive alive alive! If this was a dream he prayed with all his heart he wouldn't wake up. A smile spread across his face, and soon, he was running toward her...::
::She met Ather half-way into the great hall, having found her feet and ran as well. Soon, she felt the familiar warm arms of her brother around her frame, and it was all she could do but laugh as tears streamed from her eyes.::
I thought I'd lost you. ::he found his voice, holding his sister tight, not caring that he was crying. He closed his eyes, still feeling like no one else in the world existed::

As soon as the shout of Ather's name reached Eula's ears she finally felt sure of what she had suspected the second she had laid eyes on Ather. Eula turned in her seat and watched as Terra darted into the Great Hall. She watched Ather go running for her and the reunion between the siblings.
The smug look on Eula's face lasted only a moment. She let the other Redwallers watch on in curiosity as she stood up and walked over to Sasha. "All right, it's your turn. Even though I already know the answer, I HAVE to ask... What are you so upset about?"
Eula looked really pleased with herself for some reason. She turned to spare a glance at Ather and Terra again, but her gaze returned to Sasha, waiting an answer.

((Awwwww!)) Donato quietly watched Eula walk towards Ather with a serious expression on his face. He merely nodded at whatever Rosa might have said - was she even saying anything? He didn't know.... He heard the cry of the young raccoon-lass ((um, that's now the raccoon equivalent of a haremaid)) - how he and Eula had fought over whether not telling Ather was a good idea - they were in each other's arms now - and it didn't even matter now. He blinked and swallowed hard, looking at the floor.

::Rosa smiled herself, but then looked to Donato, he'd been quite as transfixed as many others upon the pair, and then failed to hold back a slight giggle as he looked to the floor, trying to see if she could peer through his furry cheeks for any sign of red, and then, with no one looking, she stole a kiss on his cheek there for herself, to see if it was warm as well as taking advantage of the poor hare in the moments there, pulling back just as sudden with a slightly louder laugh:: Imagining what eet well be like when you and Eula to kissing also...?
::Even Fenya was stopped in the tracks of her hyperbole laced heroics, but she didn't stay for long, grinning finally, as she raised her mug:: To a happy reunion an' many more! Crack out the finest ales, the october wines an' all!!! An' I'll ha-
::SMACK:: OwowowowowOW!!! ::She near THREW her mug at the sudden attack upon her leg and then glared downward at Jasmine who slowly rose:: What was THAT fer?
I think... ::Jasmine said a little more calmly, a hint of a smile on her face:: We should give the two a little time together perhaps? Up in the infirmary where I can check that shoulder of yours later, Ather? ::She almost half expected him not to hear the offer of a little time alone, but watched there herself, the pair together at last...::
::She knew however... with a glance of Sasha; all was yet to be fixed, but she wouldn't dampen the mood quite yet..::
