Tam stands up and moves to the edge of the river. This doesn't look good and with his wing in a splint, Tam knows he can't swim after him. He begins to worriedly pace back and forth on the bank, watching the situation closely. He decides to call Hope just in case Kero needs help.

*Kero seems to be wrestling with the fish....and suddenly, he breaks away, swimming up for air...He gets in a few more breaths, enough to fill his huge lungs...then gets dragged under again...Tam realizes the fish is letting Kero breathe before he pulls him under...much like an older brother dunking his younger one*

Tam points to his splinted wing with a wry smile. "Did ye ferget something? Ye go ahead... I don't mind. I'll just sit here and watch... it is nice just to get out of the cottage for a bit."
He finds a piece of wood and taking out a small pen knife begins to clean and carve it into a likeness of old granddad."

*He soon feels something warm and furry brush up against him*
It does feel nice to get out here...doesn't it...Where's my brother, Tam?

Tam reaches down and scratches Hopian ears. "Playing tag with the fishies... literally I might add."

Tam shrugs. "He seems to be on the losing side but enjoying every moment... just tried to get me to come in... so I know he's not hurting... scared me a bit at first... Ol' Grandad was playing kind of rough."

Tam laughs and points out to where Kero seems to be wrestling with an enormous fish. "That's Ol' Grandad... he's sentient. We met him years ago on our first fishing trip out this way. One of the reasons we no longer fish beneatht the falls actually. But today we caught the scoundrel teaching a small school how to make off with our bait... Can't blame him... but we never go after the ones who show signs of intelligence."

*Hopian nods*
I heard...and I should apologize for that....I can at least assure you that if Kero asks me to repeat a certain action, he's going to be the recipient of it...and least one good crack upside his head.
