Tam takes in a mouthful and spews it in Kero's face, laughing.

*Kero rolls his eyes....and wields space, giving Tam a gentle pat on the rump*
Now, Now...we don't do that...that's very naughty...

Tam's eyes promise Kero a very nasty retribution if he keeps it up. Deciding to ham it up for all it's worth, he waves to the crystal and bops Kero over the head with the bottle... not hard enough to hurt but enough to make it sting a bit.

*Kero decides to keep it up (Fortuny hid the crystal...how'd Tam see it?), and twists a paw, taking the bottle away from Tam*
Well, if you're not hungry, you're not hungry....I guess you just need a nap...*Pats Tam's rump with space again...a bit firmer this time...about as hard as he bopped him...and pulls out his pipe, playing a haunting lullaby*

Tam has had enough. "Without a word of warning he disappears. But he doesn't go too far, not to begin with. He's upstairs changing into some old clothes. then he grabs his fishing rod and ports to his favorite fishing hole, all of this unseen or sensed by either Kero or Fortuny. They have no idea where he is.

*Kero nods to Fortuny, who takes the crystal back upstairs...and cleans everything up. He then goes on out of the house, searching for Tam, trying to sniff him out*

Since Tam ported, there is no scent trail to follow.

*So Kero uses an old tracker's technique...he goes back to the hous and begins to spiral outward, trying to catch any ambience of Tam's scent that might lead him true*
**Tis a very old trick...but it works**

Well... there is this very very old trail from that night before, but nothing else just yet... kind of depends on how wide of a radius he's willing to handle and how long he keeps at it. There might be a better way though the northern spirit refuses to offer suggestions... she says Kero will simply have to figure this out on his own.

*So Kero decides to be sneaky...he takes his pipe and begins piping wherever he walks...a tune that calls for a partner*

**sneaky.. so I take it he's not scanning but walking... **
Eventually, as he is walking down a deer trail in the forest he gets a tantalizing whiff of the bard. But then then the wind goes silent and still and he is faced with the matter of determining where that scent had come from... somewhere to the north or was it north east of where he stood.

He finds himself at the river. close to one of their favorite fishing holes. The only sound he can hear though is the rush of the water over the rocks mid-stream and the wind in the tree tops.

A soft laugh from behind him gives Tam away. "I'm right here, Taro... ye missed me by inches walking in." Spinning about the cat sees Tam sitting on a broad lower branch of a nearby tree. "Nice tune... where'd ye learn it?"
