Smiling, Crimson nodded, and promptly began to sleep on the couch, clutching her two swords in her hand. Although, this time, it took much longer to fall into an actaul deep sleep. So she listened to everyone else with her eyes closed, slowing down her breathing.

She wish that she could do somthing about thier situation, but this was out of her control. Nothing new, except this time, she could use some.

I'm fine.... Reshion thought, saying it out loud. "I'm fine Nina. After the car incident, I'll have nightmares the rest of my life. Trapped for an hour, listening to moaning and banging, hiding under the steering wheel, hoping they don't break through. No, I'd like to stay awake. My body is fine. I haven't had a seizure in a few hours." The cracked his neck loudly, and got off the widowsill, where he was staring off into space. "I'd prefer to take all of the shifts myself, it's not problem." He said, toying with the pistol. He sniffed waited for Nina to say something to him.

He had to add something quickly to her dpressing speech. It was too disharetening. "Well if one of us is biten then they should tell the others and then we watch them till they turn. None of us should give up as thats the first step to defeat. Who knows maybe one of us will be imune." It was possible but unlikely. But he knew he would never condone someone dieing untill they actually became one of those things. He heard Nina's plan and nodded slightly before yawning again. "I'll aggree with it. I need to catch up some sleep before I take a shift." He looked around for a blanket and shruged. He then walked over and took one of the pillows from the other couch. "I'll take the couch here as I prefer to be where every one else is." It was safer and more soothing. He wasn't scared, he just didn't wish to be alone in a strange house in a city with zombies. He yawned again and listened to the conversation. When he heard Reshion say he wanted to stay up all night by himself. Garath knew he had to object. "Get some sleep Reshion. And don't take a shift by yourself. No one should. What if something happens? Or if you want just consider it an extra precaution." He knew he wouldn't get any sleep if Reshion was the look out. Too many seizures in too short a ttime would seriously weaken anyone. And if he acidentally fell into one while on watch they wouldn't have any warning. ALso it was probably better to have at least two people on watch at once just so if one person missed something the other might notice it. Regardless he decided against sleeping till he found out what was decided. If the decision was unfavorable he would feign sleep but stay awake as long as he could. But he doubted this would be necessary because Nina had always been a good leader.

((Ok... I was waiting for Gothic_Kyo to post... and he hasn't... I was also waiting for babylumpkins to post... and she hasn't. So I'm going to go ahead and post... Sorry for the wait guys sweatdrop
PLEASE POST YOU TWO crying !))

"Wow... You're a strong human-being. You're not even going to attempt to get over your fear of sleep. If that happens then you can just kiss your life good bye..." Nina said with a tone of sarcasm in her words, yet real worry in her voice. "You're going to end up dying from your immune system failing on you rather then a zombie eating you." she said sitting down on the floor and leaning her back against the edge of the couch. She brought her sheathed rapier out in front of her so she could pull it out quickly. "But..." She started hearing Garath's opinion. "If he rather stay awake all shifts... We need three people up at a time as to recover for the tiredness that is Reshion..." She looked from each member of their group to next.
Crimson looked to be asleep, Garath had pillows and was ready to lay down, Thomas stood there, and she was on the floor. Everyone knows is... God knows where. But... Pft... they're alive! she thought in her normal optimistic way.
"I volunteer to stay up first, apparently Reshion is too..." She looked to Thomas. "Are you too tired to stay up?" She asked quickly.

"I devize we stay split into three different parts of the house..." Nina said after a short, very awkward period of silence. "That way if there is a break-in in any particular place of the house we can know before it gets too out of hand. We can simply yell for assistance in keeping down the breech." She said with a slight smile crawling to her lips. She was looking down at the floor. That sounds very Lord of the Rings... Anyways, She thought shaking her mind out of such fantastic thoughts. We have all the added fortification added to the out side... The oil and matches, the electricity for the ladder, and the guns we have will probably help the most for keeping zombies at bay... she thought, remembering them.
Nina was suddenly smacked out of her thoughts and she couldn't exactly place why until she listened closely: There was a noise that wasn't there before. It wasn't loud, it was almost white noise if you didn't give it much thought. What could that possibly- Nina's thoughts stopped as she stiffened and turned to look at the group very slowly. "D-do you h-h-hear that-t?" She asked hunched over slightly and shivering in fear.

Low moans, pained groans, spittle filled hisses, and gutteral roars. It was distant, but loud enough to pierce the walls, though extremely fortified. That means there had to be a lot of them and getting closer. Nina's mind raced. Why now?! They normally don't swarm in larger groups than approximately fifteen according to the news- WAIT! The news! Nina shuffled to stand up and her rapier went back to swing at her side. She pushed Crimson sideways a little to see if the remote was under her. It wasn't so she went to Garath and moved him oer as well. As she did so she noticed it sticking out from under the coffee table. She let out a frustrated sigh and snatched at it. The latina quickly turned on the Television that was over the mantle of the fire place. Lucky for me the first channel's news... No wait... All channels are news now. She realized.

"-spreading quicker in the lower South then it is in the North. Mississippi and Louisiana are added to the group of states that have the viral infestation within it's borders." The news anchor reported solemnly. "The virus seems to do better in warmer climates."
"We know it's freakin' spreading! What about the f*ckin' safety of the people within infected states!!!" Nina yelled at the T.V. in distress. "Local news..." Nina said calmer, flipping through the channels.

Though Kalila's first priority was to get clean, her mind still wandered. Normally she would be able to remember the mapping of buildin by running though it once. But it wasn't clicking in her mind at the moment. She wakled and she saw, but she wasn't really seeing. At the moment she was just following Ada.
"You think Mizuki's ok?" She finally whispered to her little brother who walked a bit ahead of her.
"Honestly, I don't know..." He said frowning a bit. He better be ok... Nicholas thought harshly, but it was his way of showing he cared. "We do need a walkie-talkie though..." He said remembering that Mizuki carried their's.
"M'yah..." Kalila said only half listening. Maybe he's already made it to the location and managed to fortify himself within the building... she tried to think, out-of-characterly, optimistic.
"Maybe we should ask Ada if she had one..."
"Perfect idea!" Kalila said, the words caught by her mind immediately, throing the other thoughts out.
"Go ahead and ask."
"I will."

Kalila walked in front of her brother as he side stepped to let her past him. She lightly tapped the older woman on the shoulder.
"Ada... Do you have a walkie talkie per chance... Or a working land phone line?" She asked retrieving her hand back quickly, folding it to her other hand on her front.
That's right... Cell phones don't work anymore... Nicholas remembered as his older sister spoke.

Garath sat up realising that she was right. He dind't mind that she shoved him over looking for the remote. He was too busy trying to get completely awake again. Fortunatly fear works wonders for makeing one stay awake. "Something tells me things have gone from bad to worse. Just when I thought things couldn't get any more dangerous." He grabbed his sword and ran to the window to try and spot the zombies. He knew Nina would anounce anything important on the news. He could hear them but in the darkness couldn't make any out yet. Some of the street lights weren't working any more, and the light that there was wasn't enough to illuminatte the entire street. But in the distance he could make out some movement. "Hey does anyone know how much ammo we have? Cause I think we're going to need it tonight."
PostPosted: Mon Oct 08, 2007 12:03 pm

Thomas half listened to what Nina was saying, he was more tired than he thought. His eyes were getting heavy and he could feel himself falling into darkness, shaking himself awake every few minutes.

I'm going to have to sleep. I can't go on like this...

Thomas scratched his head and yawned

"Hey Nina I think I'll go ahead and call it a nigh-"

What the hell is that noise...?

Thomas stopped and listened to a dull moaning sound comming from the outside, his eyes shifted to the window but before he could move Garath was already there, and Nina was scrambling for the remote, for the news Thomas assumed.

Just when I thought it was time to relax...

Thomas reluctantly grabbed the half empty bottle of gamer fuel and drank the whole thing in one chug.

Garath asked Nina about ammo so he assumed it was infected marching down the streets.

"Gaaahhh... Nina what the hell is going on? Was the news helpful?"

Thomas got a little tense so he had his hands close to his daggers.

I need a new weapon...

Thomas sighed and walked over to Nina.

Reshion sprung up, cocking the pistol quickly.
"I heard it too!" He shouted, his whole body alert. He forgot about the fatigue that was slowly coursing through his body. He knew that something would probably happen, and he knew that he would have to be ready.
Reshion saw Nina, Garath and Thomas stir, and walked over to the fire escape. The noise was there, be couldn't see anything, owing to the darkness. But he knew as well as everyone else that something was there, and it was growing.
"Nina," he said, walking over to her, tapping her on the shoulder. "Are we going to hold our ground here? You know it'll get worse. A hell of a lot worse." He said, with a look of slight fear in his eyes. He addressed Garath. "I still have ammo. But I do not know if it's enough." He said, trying to stay calm. He didn't want them to see the slight fear he was witholding. He wasn't afraid of death, but he was afraid for the others.
"What if.....they die too?" He thought, furrowing his brow. He walked over to the couch and shook Crimson lightly. "Hey, wake up." He said, straightening himself out. He toyed with his pistol, and waited for Nina to say something, anything.

Ada unlocked the door and led them down the stairs. When she reached the bottom of the stairs, she turned and faced the group. "Bullets." She said, pointing to the large shelves. "I suggest you carry plenty of them. I doubt that we will be able to come back if we need something." She then lifted her hands to signal them to follow her and walked through a small hallway. "This is the bathroom." She said as she opened the door on her right. "And to the left is the kitchen." She said with a wave of her hand. "There's not much. A fridge and a microwave. We've got plenty of water, though. And maybe a bottle of pop somewhere in there." She said smiling. "Get cleaned up and comfortable." She then adressed Kalila. "The phone is also in the kitchen, and Nikita has a pair of walkie talkies that he keeps for slow days. They're in the back room. I will bring them to you." She turned and looked at David and spoke. "Follow me." She blushed slightly when she realized she had been ordering them around. "I'm very sorry." Ada said sincerely. "I did not realize I was being so commanding." She walked into the back part of the store. "I guess it has become a habit since living with Nikita." She reached the corner of the back room and picked up several crates and put them on top of a table for David. She quickly opened one of them and pulled out 3 walkie talkies. "Here you are, sir." She told him with a nod as she placed the last crate in front of him. "If there is anything else I can do for you, just call for me. I will be in the kitchen."
She left the room to allow David some privacy as he got the stuff he needed. Once she reached the kitchen, she placed the walkie talkies on the table. "Here. The batteries are fairly new, so they should be good to go." She said with a smile.

With Eri asleep on his back, Nikita continued to creep along the shadows. He didn't feel the need to run anymore. I haven't really ran into any more zombies. We'll be fine. He thought. They were only a couple of blocks away from the pharmacy now, and he was sure that he could take on any zombies that were trapped inside. Stirring him from his thoughts, he heard Eri groan into his shoulder. "We're very close to the pharmacy, kid." He told her, but then she began to groan in pain. He was surprised at the things she said. He searched his mind for the right words to say, but he was empty. Useless. I'm no good at consoling chicks... He put his arm underneath Eri's thigh to push her back up on his back as she began to slide down. "Eh...Don't worry about it. And don't start this dramatic talk with me yet." He responded with a chuckle. "You'll be fine. I take care myself and mine and-whether you like it or not-that includes you."

((I'm very proud! That's some intense sh*t... Holy crap man... Your thumbs must be buff... lol!
I'll post for Kalila really soon. But for now I only have time for Nina.))

Finally she found a local station. Relief flowed through her for about half a second. It was ruined quickly. Nina frowned as she was aware of the choas going on around her at the moment. She was trying to listen and the costant movement and excitement wasn't helping. Everyone awake ran upstairs to her from from the living room to get to the fire escapes. All the other windows and doors were heavily barricaded so it was the only place they could go. Oh yeah... Real' intelligent guys. She thought sarcastically still paying attention to the T.V. The zombies would have never known we were here but you had to be b*st*rds and screw around... Quit yelling! She thought harshly. She was scared, she couldn't help it.
"Yeah... Yeah Thomas." Nina said looking over her shoulder to him. "They found out, the scientists I mean, that the zombies have a habit of grouping together. Similar to packs. But sometimes 'packs' join other 'packs.' Apparently..." She looked back at the T.V. for a reminder. "Ah, right, apparently there is one huge pack that's joined in the Manhatten area. They came up from the subway system..." Nina said as she muted the sound of the television, but kept it on to keep up to date with situations. "Oh... and Thomas... Go to the bar room and get yourself a real weapon. There are swords all over two walls of all sorts. We're missing a claymore... Mizuki has it, Kalila has the only katana, and Nicholas had a gladius... There might be another gladius... but other than those weapons... You have anything of your choise." she informed and ordered him.
She turned her attention back to the T.V. This station isn't truely local... They're operating from Canada, which is safe right now... So it might take a while to get news... they have to get it from helicopters and stuff... Nina thought worriedly.

Just as she was in deep thought, she didn't hearanything, but she felt something touch her shoulder. She didn't stop to think. It was pure reflex. She brought her elbow back in an attack to the gut. Luckily for him, he had abs that would keep some of the pain from reaching him. She quickly turned around, startled. "Oh snap!" She blurted out. "Are you ok!? I'm sorry Reshion!" She said patting Reshion's back.
"Yes! Yes, we're holding our ground!" She said quickly in a change of subject. "This building is forified in all enterance ways, Zombies can't jump, we have the gasoline around the house we can light on fire in a ring of protection, and we have the electicity we could get flowing through the fire-escape if need be, and we have a huge supply of weapons and alcohol... Why would we risk going out?! We'd probably just end up getting mauled in the dark!" She said giving him one last pat on his back. He went off to wake Crimson.

She ran up the stairs to her room where she found Garath. Nina glanced at the window sill. Good... The matches are still there. something told her it would come in handy really soon. The mass noise was louder now that she was by an open window.
"They're still miles away..." Nina blurted out as she realized thus. "But... there's got to be thousands..." She whispered. "Everyone!" Ironically she yelled as she shut the window half way. "No yelling after I'm done yelling. I'm turning off the lights in this room so they can't see us." She did as she said. "Apparently they have bad eye sight. Stay away from the window unless absolutely nessassary. We don't need them getting our stench." She mumbled the last part. "Basic information I think you should know so you don't make any dumb mistakes... They have awesome hearing, terrible sight, an awesome sense of smell, and poor sense of touch. They're hostile in nature... Just incase you didn't find that out already..." She said with a laugh. Her laughing was a mask, her leadership was a method of getting rid of fear. In actuality... She was scared out of her mind.
All of a sudden a thought hit her that made her feel like her stomach disappeared. It's not safe... What if Kalila and them are out there... What if Jainy and them are out there... She would have had a panic attack right on the spot if she didn't have the presence of her oddly gotten knew friends around her. They're fine... I bet they're no where near her... I wish they would talk to me somehow.

Garath nodded in agreement. Nina was right about staying silent. He followed her sugestion and closed the window nearest him to prevent the smell of the group to escape. He then also drew the curtans over the window to prevent any movement from being seen. He considered running down stairs to turn off the lights but he figured one of the others was down there and would turn of the lights. He considered what else he could do and found nothing. He was glad that Nina at least had taken charge. It was better to hide then to fight that large a group. But he thought there was something odd about the way she was acting. He figured she must be worried over her friends. He got up and went over and patted her shoulder. At the same time he hoped she wouldn't take offence. He just wanted to comfort her a bit.

Mizuki lay on the cold gravel on the roof, comatose.
His eyes stared blankly at the sky above, stars relfection the glossy sheen of glass-like eyes. His skin was frightfully pale and blood leaked from the corner of his mouth and darkened the fabric of his leg jeans leg. He was stone-still. His bags, goggles, mask and weapons lay beside him, cast off in a hurry seemingly before he collapsed.
If anything - he looked dead.

After leaving the group and tearing it round the corner chased by the Crazies things had gone down hill for Mizuki. He'd been elated at the time, glad to have the adrenaline pumping through his veins - keeping him high and on the edge. The Crazies crooning and screeching mere meters behind had not so much bothered him - his delirious and unstable mind unable to comprehend the true seriousness of his situation. To him it was a game. He'd scoot around the city, collecting coins for triple game score before raising a flag at the end of the level and dancing to mono theme tunes. The thought had made him giggle senseless. But it had also made him slow in his over confidence . . .
The true wake up call lay in wait as he span off from the street and entered the main.
There had been two groups of Crazies, easily twenty to thirty in all, brawling amongst themselves. At the sight of fresh meat they had immediately dropped their squabbles and charged for him. They were close - a lot closer than the ones now closing the gap behind him already.
Mizuki could not turn and double back of he'd run right back into the lot that had been chasing him. Turn, hell! He didn't even have time. He didn't even have to option to slow and dodge them, because that would have given them time to collect their senses enough to make an organised grab for him, that would slow him just enough for the lot behind him to catch up and that would be it. Mizuki: Shared out in teeny weeny portions enough to feed atleast fifty or sixty foamy cannibalistic mouths. It had been in this split second of realistion, in this split second of suddenly coming to terms with how well and truelly <********> his situation was that shattered the happy dream for Mizuki.
It shattered and brought with it an icy chill. His brain began to pound in his skull and his heart seemed to shrivel - taking his lungs with it. It suddenly became hard to breath and all the while he was still running straight towards the two gangs - who were even now begining to peel themselves away from one and other to address new sport. It all happened in the space of a second or so - if that.
Mizuki came to his senses and suffered for it - not only that but he realised he really had no alternative to charge straight through the thinnest area of the gaggle before him and just pray, <******** pray, that they were just that little bit too slow in comprehending what was going. Just that little bit too slow to allow him to barge through them and continue ******** running. All of a sudden each breath felt like inhaling fire. It burned and corroded the inside of his lungs, setting his entire chest cavity alive with pain. He realised with horror that he was undergoing what had the potential to be a serious panic attack. He grit his teeth and willed himself to pull through.
Mere seconds later and he was about to take the plunge. So close the stench seemed overpowering - even through the mask tears sprang to his eyes. This close he would have been able to see every tiny little gortesque detail to the dirtied insides of peeling skin, to the glisten of pus and the dark coagulated smears of blood stuck between those bared and yellowed teeth. But he did not allow himself to. To focus on them, for even a second, would panic him enough to make him falter on his course of action. That would be a fatal mistake. Instead he focused on the street beyond which he could just make out inbetween the gaps of entangled limbs.
As he hit the wall of bodies he felt a few bones snap from being smacked into at awkward angles. He ploughed through the first two forms with suprising ease and speed - it was however on the last two rows that things went horrifically wrong. It seemed that these Crazies were quicker to gather their wits than he had anticipated. Hands thrust out of a writhing mass to latch on to him. Mizuki screamed before he was able to stop himself, the scream brough with it acrid burn of bile as his panic reached such fever pitch that he vomitted. Luckily the little food left lodged in his throat and only a small amount of bile made it into his mouth.
A hand managed to seize his belt, anoter the side of his face. A third ghosted across his left arm but Mizuki was moving with such speed that the motion shrugged off the attack and the Crazie's grip failed.
As he finally burst through the other side. He got three of four steps before the weight latched on to him from those grabbing ahold began to slow his progress. He screamed again, this time breathlessly, desperately. Adrenaline thudded into his system as the 'Fight or Flight' response took an iron grip on his system. He pushed forwards with renewed speed, his hips searing in their joints as he did so.
The Crazie's that were latched on to him, where held back, entangled amongst others and could not match his speed so Mizuki was able to tear free of their grip. Nails gouged two trails into the flesh by his temple and grabbed viciously at the strap of his mask where it rested behind his ear. As Mizuki pulled away the strap snapped, the elastic pinging back and hitting him in the corner of the mouth with such ferocisity that the flesh split beneath it, blood pouring down his chin, the mask now dangling dangerously from one ear. The other hand at his belt slid along as Mizuki lunged forwards, knocking off the walkietalkie before it relinquished its hold. By the time the plastic shell shattered upon impact with the floor, spewing wiring and wire mesh across the tarmac, Mizuki was a good few meters away.
His teeth bared and his eyes wild as he ran faster than he ever had done, or was liable ever to do again.
A good number of the Crazies from the first group ran into those from the second lot and that slowed them down - but more than enough had managed to weave around them - and it was those that were dangerously close behind.
Fighting his way through that mob had slowed Mizuki down a fair bit and now they were practically on his heels - with the looming presence of an oncoming panic attack still evident in his chest Mizuki's only option was to climb.

Like a godsend he spotted it, a fire escape ladder. It was just under seven foot of the ground, hanging there like a metallic beacon of hope. Mizuki charged for it. Had any human witnessed the jump he made - they would have not thought him human. In his panic his pushed off in a tremendous running leap from atleast four foot away from the ladder. He flew through the air, climbing to seven foot and slamming hard into the metallic rungs as if that one leap would have carried him further. No sooner had he latched his hands on the third run and gotten one leg on the first, the Crazie's were upon him. One of them jumped - it actually ******** jumped! - for him. Granted it was not a very high jump, little more than a stretch and a hop but the effect was the same. It got its fingers around his dangling leg in a half decent hold. It tugged with a force that nearly ripped Mizuki off the ladder. He gasped - there was no longer enough oxygen in his lungs to support a scream. He kicked viciously and the grip slid further down his leg. In the struggle his trouser leg rode up ever so slightly - but the Crazie saw not time in tearing at the exposed flesh with overgrown and dirtied nails. By some miricale, as Mizuki struggled, not daring to let go of the rung with his hands for even a second to aid himself, the sword at his belt came loose. It fell and found the eye socket of the Crazie holding him. The fingers immediately loosensed and as if on a coiled spring, Mizuki shot up the ladder.
He dropped his s**t, the mask falling from his face and began to rummage ferverently through his bags. As his fingers closed about the onion bomb he took a run up at the edge of the building and lobbed the b*****d with all his strength over the heads of those below.
Mizuki made the mistake of looking down as he did so. The street below was filled with upturned faces. Ghastly and demonic in the moonlight, all glittering eyes on him. As the onion bomb fell, releasing spices, heads began to turn away from him.
Mizuki staggerd back from the edge and tore his goggles from his face, tossing them back with his bags and breathing heavily. He took one last look at the world around him before he hit the floor. He convulsed a little - and then lay still as shock began to set his limbs like stone.

Eri smiled softly. " 'Yours' Huh...?" She giggled softly and sighed. "Hmm..." She rested her lips on his neck and kissed it softly. "I..." She sighed again. "Nevermind... Hey... Do you think of me as a friend or as family...?" She asked, her eyes looking as his neck, the kiss tempting her greatly. 'Please don't say family.... Because I don't think I think of you the same way... Not friend, not family...but something more...'

Deep inside, she felt Reshion shake her, but her mind did not release her to her body. Crimson was deep in sleep, more than sleep, almost comatose. Dully, she heard noises, much like the guttral zombies. But after awhile, Nina cleared them, saying that they were fortitfied. Crimson wished she could get up, draw her sword, be prepared, but she could not move her body.

Reshion called her name, frantic, shaking her some more, trying to rouse her.

Sorry, Reshion, she thought with a mental smirk, I can't seem to get up.

((Glad to have you back Metzli ^_^))

Kalila and Nicholas listened to all the information Ada gave them. When she had started speaking, Kalila was back to her normal process of thought. She could remember the rest of the layout of the area, that had not escaped her mind.
"Thank you very much." Kalila said with a reflected smile.
"Thanks..." Nicholas mumbled a second off from Kalila. He let his wrist be grabbed by Kalila as she led him and herself to the restroom.

As soon as they entered Nicholas spoke, "Get that sh*t cleaned off your sword!" he pointed to the thicked blood. "That's major health hazard..." he said his voice laced with disgust. He sad on the lidded toilet and waited for his sister to finish.
"Mmmhmm..." Kalila replied half-heartedly as she unsheathed her sword. She laid it across the sink basin and collected the thicked blood from her sheath with her gloved hands. Quickly but effeicently she washed the blood from everything related to the sword and dried the items as to not let them rust or become slippery. She washed her gloved hands, the material being such as too not soak in water too much. Then she peeled them of and quickly washed her hands and face. It's starting to become a thing I do everytime I reach a clean water source. she thought as she washed the splashes of blood from random parts of her dress, leaving spots of wetness. She pouted at the ripped area of underlayering of the skirt potion of the dress, I worked so hard on this dress.. "Go ahead.." She motioned for Nicholas to get himself to the sink. At the same time she was about to start helping him he glared at her.
"I've got this. Go call Nina." He said bluntly as he took off the strap of his rifle and leaned it against the wall after making sure the safety was on. Kalila was taken slightly aback. She was so use to helping her brother with these kind of things, even though he was old enough to do it himself, it just never occured to her it could be annoying.
"Fine, I will..." Kalila said timidly, making her way out of the bathroom. She grabbed a towel fisrt and wetted it, wiping at the parts of her skin exposed that he hadn't washed thoroughly. Basically it was taking a bath without taking off clothing, accessories, or washing hair. She threw the towel in the corner as she left, redoing her ponytail at the same time.
Nicholas washed himself up in the same method as Kalila only even more thoroughly. He felt the grim of two rounds, since he did not clean himself up at the DIY store.

Kalila made her way through the building to Ada who was still at the table. She gave her a nervous smile. "Thank you again... These are challenging times and you chose to help us... Thank you!" She said flustered, feeling awkward about the situation, and putting her gloves back on at the same time. Her goggles were still on her forehead and the mask was still dangling around her neck. She picked up one of the walkie talkies, I'll leave the other one for Alex or something.
She tuned the device as best as she could, because truth be told, she really had no idea how to use it. She just kind of used common sense. But, she didn't want to use the land phone, just incase it created to great a disturbance. Who knows... Nina could be in more trouble than we are...
"Hello... Hello, can anybody here me? Over." She asked taking a seat at the table. "This is Kalila Al-Rahiim, can anybody hear me?" there was no response, just the buzz that walkie talkies normally make. She readjusted it and tried again, repeating herself, many times.

Back at her house Nina looked to Garath. She had seen him move to touch her shoulder, so she didn't end up attempting injury on him by reflex. Instead, She gave him a warm smile.
"Thanks..." She mumbled, her voice shaking a little. She managed to hold back the fear, but it still show up in her voice when she wasn't taking the position of "leader."
At the moment, trying to override the fear even more, Nina was mentally congratulating herself for blockading the windows earlier. Light won't be getting through those suckers anytime soon. she thought with a mental smirk as she placed her right hand on the handle of her rapier for fast unsheathing. She was also in the process of plugging in the wire that was to electrify the ladder when her pocket spoke, muffled, again.

"This is Kalila Al-Rahiim. Can anybody hear me?"

It took half a second for Nina to realize exactly what was going on. As soon as she "came to" she threw the plug to the floor and snatched the walkie talkie from her pocket as fast as she could.
"YES! Kalila I hear you! Are you guys alright?!" She spoke quickly into the device, her last sentence sounding like one big word. She wasn't loud, just super excited.

"Ya Allah..." Kalila sighed in relief under her breath. She shot Ada a smile, pressed the botton, and spoke. "Long story short... I don't know what's up with Mizuki. He distracted a group of zombies away from us. He's suppose to be at a store we meet up with him at. The rest of us are fine... We're at the gunstore now, getting stuff. The owner is with us... She'll be joining us. Two other people with her too." She said just as quickly as Nina. "Oh! You don't know yet!" Kalila blurted out as she remembered. "We found Alex! like... Alex Marshall, our Alex! And his dad... What are the chances, right?... Over." she said more happy then she had been all night. When speaking to each other Kalila and Nina had almost a healing effect on each other.
"No f*ckin' way!" Nina said with a smile. "All of you can come back once you get Mizuki and we'll all have a party!" Nina said jokingly. It didn't even occur to her that Mizuki could have died or be seriously injured, her optimism wouldn't allow such. "Whoa whoa whoa... We have a slight problem though. We're safe for now... Garath is, seriously, right next to me, Christian left us... Crimson's still with us, downstairs. Reshion too... There's a new kid, named Thomas. He seems like Nicholas-type." She said quickly. "But back to the point. "We're fine, but there is a huge f*ckin' group of zombies heading our way. We're staying in the house... But I think it'd be safer if you guys don't get mized up with them. They came out of the subway systems... A cording to the news." she said closing her eyes to remember everything she wanted to tell her. "Ah! I spoke to Jainy! Terry, a marine sargent guy, went out to get her." She blurted out. "He's got artillery... and a truck!" She said happily. She was glad to be reporting positive information. "Reshion got another car earlier... We're heading to Walmart when you guys get back. As a group, I've come up with a thorough plan I'll tell you about later, we'll blockade it and live in it, basically." She said proud of herself. "But I ain't movin' a muscle from this place until you guys all get here... So hurry... when the cost is clear...! Over!" she said letting go of the button. She shot a smile to Garath.
"Sh*t... Number 1, that's awesome... Go you!" She said with a laugh. "But..." she said, her laughing stopped quickly. "We don't have enough covering stuff for everyone... Is that alright?" She asked worriedly. "Over."
"Pft... Yeah. We'll be getting to a Walmart soon anyway... There's everthing there. We'll be fine. Over." She said basically blowing it off.
Ah... We can skip gathering stuff at the convenience store then. We'll just get some food for Mizuki. We'll head straight back after we get Ada's cousin, then girl, and Mizuki. she thought, planning ahead. We can avoid the zombie on ground by roof again... hopefully... She thought kind of upset. It was a lot of streign on the body. "Ok... We'll be back as soon as we can." She said into the device. "Did you paint a help sign on your roof? Over."
"Dammit! No. I knew I was forgetting something!" She said to herself out loud. She talked into the walkie-talkie, "No... But We'll paint it on the roof of Wal-Mart when we get there. Now it's too late... and we risk Zombie exposure... Over." She said sadly. She was upset with herself at forgetting something so crucial.
"Alright, Nina, I'll see you later... Take care. I have to go get everything together. We've left Mizuki alone for too long. Bye... Over." she mumbled, she mentally laughed, humorlessly, at how normal phone conversation this sounded.
"Ok... Bye bye lady, Good luck. Over and out." She said sadly. It felt good to talk with Kalila. She turned to Garath and gave him a sheepish smile. "Well... At least we know our plans pretty much ok for now... Or half way so.. We stiil need confirmation from Jain and Terry."

Nicholas had come out of the bathroom when Kalila was talking excitedly with Nina. His short hair, a four inch ring around the neck hole of his Halo 3 shirt, and his sleeves was soaking wet, but other wise he was dried. He couldn't help the smile that spread across his face. It was a slight light of becon in the dark, returning to Nina's. He listened intently. "Pft... More people. At least we've got a marine now." Nicholas said with a smile. He kind of had Ada and Mizuki's belief on more people in a group, just not as radical.
After the conversation Kalila put the walkie talkie in her back pack. "That was Nina..." She said with a smile. "I'm ready to head out as soon as David and Alex are ready... May I have a water bottle?" Kalila asked politely.

[[YAY, time to post]]

David smiled and said thanks, and grabbed a walkie talkie. He listened to Kalila and Nina's conversation, then when they finished, he packed up on some ammo and a little bit of water. Once Nicholas was done in the bathroom, Alex went in, cleaning all exposed parts of his body, then cleaning all blood stains on his clothes as best he could. When he walked out he heard Nina's voice, and nearly jumped out of his skin. He looked around and saw Kalila talking on a walkie talkie. Right before Kalila had let go of the button letting her talk, Alex said, "HI NINA!" Into it, loud enough to were he was almost certain she heard it.
Alex felt better now that he was clean. After a little while, he went to go find his dad. When he found him, Alex said, "Why don't you go clean up?"
"Two reasons, one, Why get cleaned up here, when I am going to, or at least try, to get cleanER at Nina's... and two, Think about it, if your clean, your easy for a zombie to smell, but if your covered in zombie blood, then you smell like a zombie... Use your brain for something other than a hat rack." David said, poking alex in the forehead.
David went to find Ada, and Alex went over to Kalila. Alex said, "Hey Kalila, do you have a walkie talkie for me?" Not knowing that his dad already had one.
David found Ada in the kitchen, then felt like an idiot for looking there last, even though she did tell him she'd be in there. "Hey, uhhh... Dangit, I forgot your name... Well anyway, you said that you may have a few cans of pop? Can I have like 3, and maybe a few for my son?" He asked, big grin on his face, and then continued, "I have an idea how I can use them to help us against the zombies... I mean, If you don't have enough I understand..." He said letting his voice sorta fade off.
