Hallo. My name is Syrenrei (I am sure you can read) but everyone calls me Sy because evidently "Syrenrei" requires too much effort. Names over four letters, I have found, are inevitably shortened. I will also answer to most any nickname you might devise. >>
I am older than most Gaians (let's just leave it at over 20), I ramble incessantly, am incapable of making perfectly sane characters, and have been around longer than I'd like to admit.

And thanks for the greeting! I have perused past posts and I see you aren't just a Vice-Captain, but you used to be the Captain of this here ship!
I have to say, it's hard to find places with a variety of different role-plays available with coherent posts. : x Quite a conundrum. Add in that I am constantly (read: constantly) posting and well... I hope to keep everyone on their toes. : 3
P.S. There is nothing like arpeeing a character ten years younger than you to make you feel old. =(

Don't peruse my posts. >> I have some posts that are in another arpee (and you can make fun of that word all you want, but I am rather fond of it and it makes me feel special) that are... well... let's just say I imitate my surroundings. >.> I found, for example, reading some of my older writing from when I was substitute teaching that I had some rather simplistic syntax. My red pen is poised to attack that piece of work.
There are lots of fun words. I have a penchant for using big words to make me sound smart (it doesn't always work).

And as far as my perusing has gone, I have seen your role playing talent and I must say that I am quite pleased with it.
Pleased used in an impressed sense.
It's not often that we find such a gift, even here where everyone is - allegedly - literate.

Speaking of literate, I'd very much like to hear your thoughts on the topic I prescribed in the Ooc threads. It's the one titled "Share with Illy".

I tend to want to correct things as well. Except it's not syntax that is my problem, but diction.
I can never seem to communicate my thoughts explicitly, generally due to a poor choice of words.
But I suppose we all have our strengths and weaknesses.

I've yet to find the prior. xD;
Big words? Um...
One of my favorite words is synecdoche, but it's a bit hard to use that in a sentence when you're not trying to conduct a rhetorical analysis.
