 Jessie shook her head in a reassuring way. She didn't mind talking about it. At least, not to Gigi. "Sometimes I say silly things without realizing it. Even if it starts to make sense later on...it sounds weird at the time. When I was a kid my peers spread a rumor that my house was haunted because it's kind of old. It's been in the family multiple generations, and I guess it creaks a lot now. It...probably doesn't help that we're next to the woods and there's shrines about, too... But those are for honoring our ancestors, not attracting ghosts. But I don't think kids know the difference." She smiled awkwardly and sweatdropped a little. Soon after, Gigi lead her in a slow and careful spin. Jessie rose up on a tiptoe and twirled around. "I may have to find one of these, it combines two of my most favorite things, ribbons and dancing~ I can only picture that as being simply adorable~ I hope you had someone to help unravel you after ward." "Um," she began quietly, "I may still have my old one...if you want it..." She faced her friend again and returned to their starting position. "If you don't mind there being a few miles on it." she joked.Danny helped Nate look for his name tag under the pile of pocket squares. Sadly nothing turned up. "Sheesh, what'd the fare get too high? That can't be safe. How far do you usually have to travel?" She thought about the drawbacks to skateboarding everywhere, like during the wintertime when it was pretty much impossible, but it wasn't too inconvenient. "Th-that's not it." she said a little sharply by accident. In actuality, she was used to money being a little tight. But she didn't want to admit that anymore than he was the cause and how nervous he made her for some reason. "I just like to work out." She crossed her arms and looked away, hoping the lack of eye contact would distract from the rosy tint in her cheeks. "It's not a big deal." she mumbled. "That's the only reason why I'm here, after all." Well that and Laney forced her.

Once the song had ended, Arron gave a bow to Kate before giving her a small wave. He would head over to River with a smile.
"R-Ready?" he asked.

(I just wanted you to know I spent a good 5 minutes giggling because I was picturing Kate dressed like your avi right now at the ball. Still dancing with Arron, who is stoically pretending he's not waltzing with a gargoyle. Making polite conversation. Delicately eating cheese cubes off toothpicks. I just... rofl Send help.)

Kate curtsied as soon as the song ended. Now it was River's turn to dance. She would stand at the sidelines and watch the two, smiling.

(Thanks Kate! Sorry, I would save them on my comp, if the last time I tried doing that they changed when the person switched avis. O_o Seriously. Saved image file. Changed. I was wigged out the rest of the day. I'll get to these hopefully on Wednesday!)

The elf listens nodding with knitted brows, but then lights up at the talk of this house and it's location. "Oh, but that sounds like such a lovely place to live. Near to where so many previous generations of your family lived, sounds nice." An almost melancholy sigh escapes her lips but a smile is quick to brighten her face again. "I've lived more towards in the woods most of my life, so there you are." A gentle squeeze passes between their hands as Gigi gives praise on the twirl. "That was lovely, thank you for indulging my improvisation~" Her eyes then widen at what she hears and she can't help a wiggle. "R-really? O-oh that would be wonderful~ I-I mean if you d-don't mind. I-I could just borrow it if you um wanted it back even." Obviously this has made her day, ribbon dancer toy makes for very happy elf. In a fluid motion, she moves to take both of Jessie's hands and steps back in a bow. "You dance divinely, thank you for stepping out with me onto the floor~" When she rose a slight blush could be seen on her cheeks. With one hand still holding one of Jessie's, she motioned with her head toward the refreshments. "How about something to drink, I'm just a bit parched." She'd start walking that way if only to at least be out of the way of other dancers still taking their turns on the floor.

The woman is very certain she hadn't asked about saving anyone, but it was certainly very useful information that she can use at a later date. She mentally files the information as she raises an eyebrow at the girl, "And just what is this misfortune that has you feeling that you need to save people?"
