as luceil enters the sleeping chamber he finds paladine carefully cleaning the remains from his face.... the divine dragon turns to face him, his face still half covered in makeup...
today... he said solemnly... is a very special day... all throughout the valley all fires have been doused... dragon and otherwise... you and your friends are to go from cave to hut and relight these fires... how you do this is up to you... speak to everyone... find out which type of fire they need relit, light it and then move on... it would benefit the valley greatly if you could convince your playmates to take of residence in those physical fires as wood is scarce in the valley and coal is plentiful... and a salamander fed coal fire does much to chase away the chill...
as luceil flies out of the cave he finds himself faced with miles of caves and huts, all cold and dreary looking in the late morning mist.....

*Exhausted and swearing revenge that night, Luciel climbs into his cavern and sleeps. An idea comes to him as he dreams, one that will swamp all pranks. Later that week, after he has rested, he calls on his salamanders again, and has them rig Paladine up like a clown. He also has them, with his help, drywall Paladine's cavern door, sealing him inside with nothing but s'mores and coffee to eat. When he finally breaks through the drywall, Paladine runs into a sheet of plastic wrap with tar all over it, tripping over a wire and triggering feathers flying. The end result resembles a feathered dragon with a clown's face and drywall in between his feathers peeling plastic wrap off of his muzzle*

ye do know that this prank has crossed the line don't ye... paladine may have enormous patience... but he is a god... and ye've just ridiculed a god.... when you finally get the courage to check out your handiwork you find an empty cavern with feathers drywall and tar all over it... no sign of paladine....
in fact... no sign of anyone in the valley... the formally illustrious valley is awfully quiet today.... tooooooo quiiiiiiieeeeettttttt....... stare

*Luciel flaps around, looking for Paladine...and grows worried when he cannot find him. He searches the entire valley, taking all daylit hours to do so, not even calling a salamander. Not finding any, he goes back to his room, sleeping fitfully*

the next day there is no change... and he discovers something new... although he has free reign of the valley... he cannot leave it... the is an abundance of food but no people, no dragons... and very little life... just running water, and cosy caverns... it is as if everyone stepped out and simply disappeared from the face of the earth....
(we're trying as new approach to reprimands right now... as paladine said... some pranks are fine... but those that harm or go over board are never welcomed... maybe luceil will learn something form this... then again... maybe not.... it's up to his creator... but i'll be honest he really needs to tone down his pranks a bit.... a certain foxy individual is getting rather irate with him... not to mention the fact that ye simply don't treat a god the way he did....)

Note: I'm very familiar with the fact that ye're getting irate with him. I have a plan this time...this be his final series of pranks.
*As Luciel goes about, living from day to day, he finally grows weary of being alone. He cannot think of a way to break free, however. Fonally, as if by magic, an idea occurs to him, and he moves back to where he last saw paladine...his cavern. He sits near the door, hoping the God can hear him*

paladine chuckles... well the first reason is the most compelling i think... though the second has merit... come here...
paladine leads him outside.... to where he finds the valley alive and filled with activity....
when individuals live together... they need to remember that no single individual is more important than the whole... oh... it happens from time to time... needs take control... and people begin to feel as though their wants and values are more important than another's... but it is an underlying truth all the same... did it feel right living alone... on your own... with no one to tell you what to do or make demands on you?

then you must remember that feeling, never forget it... we all need others around us... so... tell me... did you learn anything else during that time... anything positive.... asks paladine, curling up to bask in the sun... he motions for luceil to come and lie down close by
