*The black lion climbs down from the podium*
I am in fact Panthera, Austin, and this is why I didn't want ye to come here.
*Suddenly, the lion disappears, replaced by the real Panthera...*

(Sorry, the ip went down tonight for several hours, without warning, of course. You'd think they'd let us know. Thanks for stepping in, Kero.)
A tall thin, raven haired with eyes colder than the coldest ice man stands before you. There is a faint hint of Zel in him, but it is very very faint as he shows no sign of being a neko. He is dressed in a black business suit and gestures for you to take a seat in an overstuffed chair that materializes to one side. When you hesitate, he shrugs and goes to sit behind a huge dark wood desk. There are only three objects on the desk. A large ornate hourglass which sits to his far left. A metal clad box which sits to his right and a small onyx statue of a sitting cat which he picks up and absently plays with.
Please sit. I promise you, I am intrigued. Few seek me out and fewer yet do so boldly. How may I be of service.
Before you speak he raises a hand, halting you words, then he summons someone from a side room. Then nods for you to continue

I'll help you, though.

Panthera chuckles softly and places the statuette on the desk before him. Ah, so we are not quite alone. And you are not as defenseless as you would have me believe, to have one such as he in your employ.
A door open and a bone white neko enters. Panthera nods to the stauette. Return him to the crypt I will tend to him later. Put him in isolation for the time being. Let him ponder the extent of his error. The white neko bows silently picks up the statuette with disdain and holds it at arm's length as he leaves.
Panthera turns and nods at you to continue. Forgive me. It was a house matter which needed to be settled. And it shall, in time. All transgressions are seen to in a speedy manner, I assure you. Please now as I was saying. You intrigue me, pirate. Tell me please. What brings you to my realm?

*Kerobian leans in and whispers in Austin's ear*
Matey, that was Zel...I'm going after him...
*As if on cue, the bracelet around kero's left front leg rings, revealing the face of his apprentice, Rhea*
Rhea: Master, there is a situation here...we have a group of souls denying their fate.
Kero: Just Damn them and be done...
Rhea: Sir, they're saved...they don't think they're worthy to enter Paradise.
Kero: Brother...the things I do for souls...
*Teleports away, actually appearing as the shadow of the white Neko as it escorts the stauette to the crypt*

Austin shifts in his chair towards his host. He looks him in the eye with the only one he has left to look at him with. "Sir..."asks Austin hopefully "do ye know the location of Demundum Island?"

Once passed the door you see things in a bit more truer sight, the walls here are rough cut stone, covered with lichen and dripping slime. The so called plush carpet is buried beneath an ankle deep covering of bone shards. It is cold in the hallway and the neko moves quickly, cursing the statue he holds for bringing him out of his cozy little nook for a trip to the crypt. A scream rends the silence, followed by a low moan, none of which sound human or even close to it. Further on down the hall you hear insane laughter amid chattering teeth. The neko ignores it all as if it is an everyday occurrence and it probably is. After several detours, in which the cat man shows off his small trophy to others of his kind, he comes to an iron shod door. Putting the statuette on the floor for a brief moment, he grabs hold of a large ring and gives it an experimental tug. The he pulls harder. The door is relunctant to open and he is distracted for the time being.

*Not wanting to see what is behind that door, kero rises up, invisible in the shadows, and sucks the life force out of the Neko, leaving a dusty skeleton on the floor that quickly collapses to bone shards. Grabbing the stauette and hurrying back, he darts into the Void and leaves Zel with his apprenetice*
Reanimate him...immediately...I have to go back and see what he has in that crypt...He's been disrupting the homeostasis far too long...
*Darts back to Austin's shoulder*
Jeez...you'd think people would be HAPPY to learn they're going to Heaven, but it's always "sorry this" or "forgive me that" or "I'm not worthy." Makes me want to vomit...and you haven't seen vomiting until an energy-eater does it.
Note: The souls are like those miserable psalms...so depressing wink

Austin frowns in disgust. "My well ye must have a sicker mind then me father! But...You haven't answered my question..."Austin raises his brow his frown slips into a straight unconcerned smile his eye however maintains eye contact with Panthera. He is untethered by the morbid horrors around him.

Panthera stares at him incredulously, then begins to laugh. It is not a pretty sound. You wish to know if I can give you directions to an island. Come now, what kind of fool do you think I am, sir. No one comes here asking for directions.

*A glare escapes from Kerobian's eyes at Panthera's laughter, and he begins to speak in a mcuh deeper, more powerful voice*
Panthera...you who have cheated death...what is it you do by taunting this pirate...the souls of the dead hover around your home...all you are doing with you antics is adding to the final reckoning...Give the pirate his directions...
*The Serpent releases Kero*

Ah, sighs the creature behind the desk, and creature it is for it no longer appears to be human. Just as the chair you are sitting in is constructed from bones roped together with hair and cushioned by skin covered padding of unknown origins. The master speaks and the servants jump, is that what is going on here? Well I AM NO SERVANT!
Panthera's voice echoes in your head. He seems to grow in dimension as he speaks. Then suddenly he pauses, laughs once again andf shrinks back to a more human size.
So you want to go to Demundum Island, do you? I tell you what. You leave your little guardian here with me, for let's say and eternity or two, and I'll tell you the way.
