It had been an odd few days for Saeki. This weekend he had spend alone at Patrick's house rather than his own with Hiro for company. He had enjoyed spending time with the kitten and played with it a lot. Hiro was also well fed and always had fresh water as well. However it had been odd without Patrick along in the mix. The young man had really missed his boyfriend and he looked forward to them coming back. Saeki had just finished a routine cleaning he had done. He had made sure to keep it as clean as he would his own house. Now he was sitting on the couch with the kitten and smiled a bit before shifting his gaze to the clock. It almost seemed as if time went the slowest of the entire weekend today. "He'll be home soon. I am sure you have missed him a lot as well, haven't you Hiro?" he said to the kitten and gently scritched under their chin. All in all it had been a great experience to be taking care of his boyfriend's cat. Saeki had even taken them with to some places just like he knew Patrick did.
There was no reason to confine them indoors after all. Saeki had taken Hiro to their usual spot in the park for one. Or just wandering through the park with of course a watchful and protective eye on Hiro as the kitten went about his curiosity. Today they had been to the park and bought the groceries needed for the home cooked meal as well before Saeki had gone about the daily routine in the house and now he was done he was just waiting for the other to come home. It would be any minute now. His wrist had been fully healed and he could use it normally again, though he was warned to take it a little easy for a bit longer after finding out they were such fervent trainers of the martial arts. The sprain could come back otherwise, that said the bracer was off now and he used both hands for everything else.

Hiro purred as his chin was being scratched and enjoying the gentle treatment he was receiving from the human, Saeki. "The way back is really the longest part of the journey" Patrick thought with a sigh. He was travelling via geo surfing per usual because he doesn't use public transportation. Making good time after going all night with just a couple of breaks at rest stops to check a map. This was his first time being so far away from the city and Hiro and especially his boyfriend, Saeki. He missed his human boyfriend during most of the week he spent preparing for the convention and even more while he was away. He has seen how the younger male got along with his feline companion. Caught himself yawning quite a bit after reaching the city limits. "I will embrace sleep after I reach the bed at home" he said to himself. Picked up the pace with luggage in tow after reaching his street and the house was in sight. On foot once more as he was approaching home. Felt weird knocking on the front door of his house one time then a second time. "It's me, Patrick. I'm back from my trip!" he exclaimed after thinking for a moment on what to say with the knocks.

The young man gently petted the kitten while his other hand was playing a bit with the necklace his boyfriend made him. It had quickly become one of his most treasured possessions. Saeki was about to get up from the couch to get some water when he heard the knocks. For a moment he was surprised since he didn't think Patrick was to meet someone today. It didn't take long though before he heard his boyfriend's voice and his face lit up. That was true, he had Patrick's only keys right now. The young man carefully picked up Hiro, supporting him with one arm and lost little time getting to the door which he opened with his other. A big smile formed on Saeki's features as he looked at Patrick and he then wrapped his free arm around their waist as he gave them a hug while avoiding that Hiro would be stuck in the middle. The young swordsman was very gentle with the kitten. "It's good to see you again my love. Welcome home. I have missed you so much." he said before looking up at them so they could look at each other. The first week had been so few time spent that these days had felt like an eternity. Still the young man kept in mind that the other might be tired so he didn't want to be too much. Perhaps they wanted to get some rest first.

Waiting at the door and hoping Saeki is inside got Patrick to check himself out a bit. He didn't look unsightly since he freshen up at each pit stop. Nose blind to his own earthly body scent especially after sweating for the last couple of hours. "I did tan slightly during those hours I spent outdoors which was seventy-percent of the time" he thought and he had forgotten to apply sunscreen. Looking back to the front of him as he noticed the door opening any thought he was dreaming was whisked away by the physical contact from by his boyfriend and the meowing of his white kitten. He smiled widely, "I've missed you too, Saeki" he replied as he hugged back with one arm also. Leans his head down to one side of his face then nuzzles him a little and kisses on the cheek afterwards. Stands back up straight, "You too, Hiro" he said and petted the kitten on the head. "Kenzie said hi'' said to them both before he forgets to do so. "Thanks for looking after Hiro and the house" he thanked him. "How's your wrist?" he asked after noticing the wrist is free of the bracer. "I hope you don't mind waiting for your souvenir until after my nap. I want to be fully awake to see your reaction" he informed him.

It felt really good to be able to hold his boyfriend again after some time. Saeki didn't mind the earthly scent around Patrick at all. It was part of the other male and just as welcome to Saeki. The young man smiled when the other hugged him back and kissed his cheek. He hadn't wanted to be too much of a burden when they just traveled so far so he had stuck to the hug. Once they kissed his cheek though, the young swordsman leaned up and kissed theirs smiling up at them. The past two weeks, even with how little they had met up, he had gotten a bit more used to the more Western way of doing things. He was slightly surprised to hear their friend had told him hi but he smiled. That was friendly of them. "If you talk to them before I do tell them I said hi back." he replied and chuckled softly. A gentle nod and a smile were sent towards his boyfriend when they thanked him for watching after the house and kitten. "It was my pleasure. Hiro has been amazing." the young man praised the kitten and gave it a little pet as well.
"My wrist is good for the most part, but I'm still banned from my martial arts training. They say I could sprain it again if I go back to it to soon." he informed the other male. Though he wasn't surprised when they mentioned a nap. "Thanks for bringing them! Of course I can wait, no problem. You look like you could use some rest my love. Can I help you with the luggage?" he replied. Of course he would start working on the food once Patrick took his nap, it needed a bit to be fully done. Saeki had done some research about autumn dishes and found some good recipes he wanted to try to make for Patrick. First a mushroom pumpkin soup then Butternut Squash &Sage Risotto among it, followed by a Fruity autumn pudding.

Patrick wasn't expecting to be kissed on the cheek in return, but he was pleased by it. "Will do" he said and thought his boyfriend had an acceptable reaction regarding Kenzie. Smiled widely, "That's a relief" he responded. Hiro meowed happily when he was petted. He hopes the successful pet sitting would be enough to show that he can be a great pet owner. Whether it is a cat or a different animal is up to his boyfriend to decide. He nods slightly, "Sounds like sound doctor advice" he replied after hearing about his wrist. "Hm. Sure, I will ahead and wash up then before the nap" he responded to the other helping him with his luggage. "I look forward to the first welcome home meal" he said then covers his mouth as he yawns a little. He headed on inside his home letting Saeki handle the luggage. Went inside the master bathroom and closed the door before shredding off his clothes once he emptied out his pockets onto the sink counter then took a shower. About fifteen minutes later, he exits the bathroom dry with slightly damp hair then he put on clothes to nap in. Laid down on his bed on his left side on the left side of the bed then drifted off to sleep on top of the cover right away.

The young man was really glad to have Patrick back home. He had enjoyed watching the kitten, they indeed had been wonderful, but it was good to be able to hold his boyfriend again as well. Saeki shrugged a bit when Patrick agreed with the doctor and sighed softly. "I can't wait to resume the training myself. But I'll be patient. I just hope it won't impact my stamina." he admitted and soon smiled a bit. "But you aren't here to hear me lament my training. You need to get some rest." he then said with a lot of love to his boyfriend. Saeki nodded and as the other got up to wash himself up, the young man gently put Hiro on the ground and picked up the luggage to place it in the other's room. He could hear the shower running already and smiled gently. He hoped it would do Patrick some good once he could sleep. They had really looked utterly exhausted. Just as he promised he left the luggage in his boyfriend's room and then went back downstairs to begin cooking the food. It had been quite a list he gave himself but it would be worth it to give Patrick the best food he could give for their welcome home meal. Saeki just hoped it wouldn't be to much since it wasn't for dinner.

"If you exercise with me. It won't be a problem" Patrick offered. "Nah, I'm usually a good listener. I'm pleased that you would share your troubles with me" he expressed his gratitude for sharing, and he appreciates the other's showing of love to him. Hiro looked up after he was back on the ground again then he went to his water dish for a couple of licks of water. The white kitten entered the master bedroom after the luggage was dropped off then he jumped up on the bed after Patrick had laid down then the feline slept next to him on the bed. After two and half hours, Patrick woke up in a daze next to his napping kitten. Took him a moment to figure out the where and why he was here as he ruffled his hair a bit making his bed hair more messy. Once he got up, he brushed his hair in the bedroom then grabbed a plastic bag from the inside of his luggage then headed out of the bedroom with it. Following the smell of food he eventually located Saeki then he embraced from behind while holding the bag with one hand. What was in the bag was a quilt with marine animals and fish on it like dolphins and luckily koi fish and this is the souvenir he had brought for his boyfriend. "Good evening my dear, Saeki" he said smiling then he let go a moment later.

Saeki smiled when the other spoke of training. It was true he could at least keep up with his Tai Chi and Meditations. Perhaps joining Patrick's training would help him stay good with stamina while he was barred from more wild moves. "That sounds like a good idea. Perhaps it will help me indeed. Especially now I'm limited to Tai Chi and meditation for a while longer." he agreed and nodded at the other. After that both his boyfriend and Hiro had retreated to the master bedroom. Saeki had kept that clean as well and he had actually refreshed the sheets and all just this day. While the two were asleep, Saeki started to work on the meal he had promised his boyfriend. The young swordsman did his best to do so quietly as to not wake the other up and they could get a complete rest for now after their long trip. Even with the recipe it took a while to cook it fully he realized. But he didn't mind. He loved to make the meal for Patrick.
Once he had finished the first part, the food still had to simmer for a bit so the young man turned to the dishes and started to clean up while the food went through it's last phase, humming softly as he did so. He was so caught up in his peaceful chores that he didn't notice his boyfriend joining him back in the kitchen until they embraced him. Saeki was startled a little bit at first but he soon chuckled as he heard his boyfriend's voice. "You almost gave me a heart attack." he said laughing a bit, turning around once Patrick let go of him and smiled at them gently. He looked a bit surprised when they offered the bag with the souvenir and then smiled accepting the gift from Patrick. He stepped away from the water and stove to be safe and took it out of the bag looking at it while making sure he didn't unfold the entire quilt on the floor and smiled as he looked back at his boyfriend. "It's perfect! Thank you my love." he said before hugging them in gratitude. Saeki obviously loved it.

Patrick was very pleased to hear and recall that his boyfriend agreed to exercise with him. Couples who do strenuous activities together tend to stay together longer and it was sort of like that with his last relationship. He let out a chuckle before letting go of him. "My bad. I wanted to be a little playful and to be near you as soon as I woke up" he said smirking because he found the other's reaction to be amusing. Reminded him of horror movies which was a bonus to him. He smiled after seeing the other's reaction to the quilt and being thanked for it. "You're very welcome, Saeki. I'm happy that you love it" he replied happily and appreciated the hug of gratitude. With all the intimacy he was getting in the short amount of time from returning he was certainly enjoying it all. "Helped that I know what he likes and that someone at the convention was selling quilts" he thought to himself. Takes a look around more aware of his surroundings now. "So what have you been cooking recently?" he asked him curious about his welcome home meal. Based on his personal experience with his boyfriend's cooking he is confident it will turn out very well. In the meantime, Hiro was still in the master bedroom rolled up in a ball on the bed still sleeping. "I was thinking since I did well with the art convention that I'm ready for our amusement park trip. Would this Thursday to Friday night be too soon for you?" he asked him. He thought he could ride on his roll of self-confidence and with it at least a week before the holiday it might not be too busy.
