*Kero is there...and strangely...his eyes aren't their normal green...they're steel grey*

Shar checks Tam's condition and laughs. "Well, whatever it is he took, it has him out cold... which makes it easier for us. Here, give me a hand. Your claws are as good as any surgical knife I own."

*Kero quickly reappears...and now Shar gets a good look...he's different...assured...self-confident...he moves them both aside, looking at Tam's wing...Shar gets the sneaking suspicion he can see straight through the flesh and blood of the angel...then he simply sits back...and begins to move his paws...the various tools move under his guidance...his eyes flare gray as the wing slowly is splinted into its proper position...and then it is done...Tam's wing is not healed, but it is splinted...and Kero drops to all four paws...*
Thank you, Dawnmistress, for your timely aid. Without your supplies, I would have been forced to waste valuable time searching for the various objects within my realm. Brother mine, I am not going to ask how this happened, only that, if it was through foolishness, it is dealt with. Dawnmistress, I would also ask that you cease with the tonic. I do not need my blood strengthened, as I technically do not have any, being as old as I am.

Very well. I concede that point. However, it has now been many years, at least to a human, since you operated on me. Please cease with it. Furthermore....*He collapses suddenly, and Hopian moves in, taking Kero and carrying him to his own bed, then returning*
That's my brother for you...always burning himself out...he'll be fine, Shar...he probably awoke to help Tam...then decided to tell you off for washing out his mouth...keep doing it, by the way...it's good to annoy this know-it-all...at least Tam's wing shouldn't give him any more pain...though there'll be parts of him that will in the morning, let me assure you.

She chuckles and gathers together her supplies. "Go easy on him... I'm confiscating his secret stash... not sure what it is, but I'm going to find out what. Until then, he's going to be hurting pretty bad when he wakes up... not enough for me or anyone to worry about, but enough to make him wish he hadn't gone out and romp in the woods in the dark."

Actually, he's not...see that gray glow on his wing...that's my brother's magic, numbing the nerves. I don't think he knows I plant to punish Tam...but I actually am going to leave that on...not that I could remove it anyway, I'd need Kero's apprentice to do that...but it should keep Tam okay for a few nights...its not permanent.

That's the reason he's going to get it in a certain area...he thought he would n** out and confront/discover who's been tracking his movements...never mind that he can't fly and can't walk very fast...he could've simply asked me, and I'd have gone. But for now, let's cease the discussion...I need some sleep...and I have something to take care of later...so I think I'll see you tomorrow...

The sun is well on it's way up by the time Tam wakes up. He Starts to move then stops puzzled. "What the..." he says with a puzzled frown, reaching back to feel his wing.

You need to stay still...your little excursion last night got your wing's splint broken...Kero himself...the real one...woke up and had to fix it...and all so you could maybe find out who's been watching you? Is that what it is?

Yes...I would, Talesian...you could have been killed, or maimed, and left Kero alone...yes, I would take him in, but it would crush him to learn what had happened. That's why you're getting this, will you or nil you.
