"Wow, you're an awesome artist! Yeah, he looked about like that. I thought he was a girl when I first saw him." she stated almost happily.

Talbot blushed, even agreeing. He thought he looked feminine presently, but in the past he looked even more like a girl.

"As for Atticus...right, that was the Lion's name... he left with him once I was back on my feet." Alexis said, snapping her fingers.
"That's right! I should tell you how we met! I over-exerted myself when I was sick, and he found me unconscious and took care of me in my old place." she said with a wide smile on her face.
"He was a perfect gentleman about it too. If he didn't take everything so seriously I might have fallen for him."

The slave blushed even harder at the mention of almost being crush-worthy.

Arron also wrote that down. "...Did h-he t-tell you were he w-was going..?" he asked. Arron was hoping that Talbot would have some questions as well, for he was running out of things to ask.

"Of course! That was the last thing he said to me before riding off on Atticus. He told me: 'I'm going to right the wrongs of my ancestors'. He could be preeetty over-dramatic sometimes." Alexis joked, impersonating Talbot's voice in a very humorous way.

"Then... maybe when I said 'our sins'...I meant the sins of my ancestors..." Talbot mused quietly to himself. He truly hoped he hadn't killed anyone, and by the sound of things, that was the case. They still lacked information, however, but another thing was made clear by what they'd been told. He'd helped nurse a complete stranger back to health for no personal gain. That likely meant that the person he was didn't differ too greatly from the person he'd become in the present.

"Anything else you want to know? Or I could make some tea or something. I'm not the best hostess, or whatever." she stated, stifling a yawn before standing up.

"Ah... well... um... can you tell us anything else you remember about me? Anything will help, ma'am." the slave added nervously. He knew he'd met this woman in the past, but he still felt like she was a stranger.

"Well, you were kind but serious, didn't really tell me why you were riding around on a lion, didn't tell me anything about your family other than your no-good-ancestors apparently doing some bad crap in the past...hmm.." she tapped her chin again, then started to pace in front of the couch to jump start her thought process.
"That's all I can really think of, sorry. You talked the same as you do now though... minus all the ma'am stuff. I mean... what happened to you? Did the circus make you all meek and submissive?"

Talbot frowned and replied with only silence.

Arron paused & looked at Talbot. "...Th-The circus was a-a way for him to-to be noticed by someone th-that knew him.... Be-Before that he w-was a-a slave to... to a-a witch of a-a woman." explained Arron. He was not going to go into extensive detail.

"A... what, sorry?...Slave?" Alexis stopped her pacing and turned on her heel to face the couch, smile fading.
"You were a slave? Are you serious?" she seemed unable to believe what she'd just heard, though it made perfect sense.

"...yes..." Talbot hung his head, ashamed of himself and what he'd been reduced to. Even if he didn't remember his previous self, to appear before someone that knew that side of him made him feel like he'd become a piece of trash in comparison.
"My Mistress is incredibly powerful, so... if a woman approaches you with pale rose hair, please... just run." he pleaded, head still down.

"The woman who volunteered at the circus was your Mistress...? Woah... this is a lot to take in all at once, slow down." she waved her hand in front of her to further her suggestion.
"You're not one of those BSDD or whatever kind of slaves, right?" her voice was almost hopeful when she asked that question. She'd gotten the term wrong, but guessed by Talbot's shirt.

"I...I'm..." the slave clenched his fists and said no more.

The young man glanced between the two. Afraid that the conversation was about to end & they would be stuck with nothing else. "It... It doesn't matter anymore." he said, "R-Right now we n-need to re-retrace T-Talbot's steps. Ms. Alexis... did anyone el-else besides y-you know him? D-Did he have any other fr-friends or p-people he spoke of?"

Alexis sighed.
"Like I said, he was pretty mysterious. Whatever he was up to, it was important, and top secret." she started to run her fingers through her hair a little as if to distract herself so she wouldn't be bored.
"He nursed me to health for about a week, then went off with his lion... apparently to lose his memory somewhere and become someone's BSMD slave." she frowned and crossed her arms over her chest.

Talbot hung his head lower, feeling worse and worse the more it was brought up. He wanted to disappear.

"I wanted to see you so maybe we could talk about old times... and maybe you could tell me what you were up to. But... since you've forgotten everything, all I guess I can do is say thanks for taking care of me back then." Alexis heaved another sigh, shaking her head afterwards.
"Thank you for taking care of me. And... sorry for not being able to help more, Talbot."

Arron did not know what to say after that. He felt like a bystander in the conversation, & hoped that his friend would speak up. He was out of ideas.

"I can not accept your thanks, as I don't remember helping you. I'm very sorry for taking up your time though, miss Alexis. Thank you for telling me all you could." he bowed his head, then quickly stood and walked to the door.

"All right. Good luck then you two." Alexis waved, walking over to sit back down in her chair. She wore a frown on her face, and her arms were still crossed over her chest.

The slave quickly went out the door and started to walk away from the building. He was very clearly upset about what had transpired.
"We should.. go before my Mistress follows us and hurts anyone else." he said simply.

Arron bade a quiet & humble farewell to the young woman. He then followed the slave. Once they were outside he said, "...We-We are farther th-than we were be-before..." He was trying to stay optimistic.

"That's right. I now know my name especially." Talbot responded. He tried to push away his emotions again, once they'd made it a distance away from Alexis's home. He'd felt a strong vibe of disgust from her the moment she'd been told he was a slave, and it hurt him despite how he agreed. The slave didn't notice, but he began walking faster the harder he tried to push away his feelings. It was no time at all before he'd begun to sprint.

Concerned for his friend, Arron chased after Talbot. He had also picked up the vibe. "Where are y-you going?" he called doing his best to keep up. He did not want to see his friend in such distress.

"Ah... I... don't know, but....I can't stop running!!" the slave shouted, dashing as fast as he could. It was as if he was trying to outrun his emotions, or maybe trying to catch up to his forgotten memories. He felt that if he stopped, he'd fall, and wouldn't be able to pick up the pieces of himself again. Everything that had happened was weighing him down, and everything else was pulling him forward in a dead sprint. It was an opposing torrent of pure conflict.

Arron was slightly confused but he kept following his friend. He did not want to see him get lost in the city.

The young slave ran and ran until he was almost out of the city. He slowed once he'd made it to a clear grassy area beyond city limits, then walked several meters before finally stopping. Everything flew through his mind rapidly, new information mixing with old, new faces, old faces, sensations and feelings of all kind. It clashed and sent painful reverberations through his brain, causing him to clutch at the sides of his head with both hands. Talbot's mind was not causing him pain, whatever blocked his memories was. He sunk to his knees and gritted his teeth.
"It...hurts.... to remember..." he cringed.
