Sciurus arched a brow at that, still studying her arm. The swelling was indeed concentrated around her joints, and the lightest suggestion of bruising was starting to appear. He hardly heard a word of what she said next, only something "Apart". "Hm..." The man was mostly muttering to himself at the moment, caffeine and the gears in his brain working like a locomotive. "Blunt force trauma depending on the angles possibly... A break would usually occur between the joints, nothing compound. Localized area..." Apart?" He finally asked her aloud. "Bear with me, I'm going to have to examine it physically. You may have to change positions, and be honest when it hurts. I might need an x-ray..."

{Meant to watch it on tv, but we were watching Spongebob instead till Mushu fell asleep. Kinda miss when we would go run around the city for it, even if we weren't near Times Square. xD I was working last night till 9, then I just walked the way home cause I didn't wanna wait for 6}

Sciurus stood up from the stool and moved to touch her arm. He started at the wrist first, supporting her fingers with one hand and lightly probing with the other. "Have you tried to move anything since the incident? The degree of mobility can indicate breaks or tissue tears." He moved to her forearm just as carefully, nothing felt broken, but hairlines were a possibility. "At least nothing is sticking out immediately. If it were you would have a compound fracture. The arm up from the wrist is composed of the radius, ulna, humerus, and scapula, along with the various ligaments and tendons."

{/almost chokes on coffee/ He'll go on next about the ligaments and the tendons & how they connect & everything if you let him. He might even get into long bones/short bones & how the inside works, he could really just go on a rant about things anatomy wise xD

If there was something in her tone, he was probably too tired and distracted to notice. The joints seemed to be the particular problem though, especially as he got to the shoulder. "It is I suppose, the bones are connected together, process to fossa with stretchy tissue called ligaments. In some areas like the knee, there's also meniscus fluid to act as a cushion and lubricant. The shoulder and rotater cufff is a ball and socket design, but it has fluid like the knee does..." Sciurus trailed off in thought. No broken bones would be a good thing, but something soft could be just as bad. Damn an x-ray, she might need an MRI instead. "You aren't claustrophobic, are you?"

Sciurus studied her face as she looked at him. She looked about as tired and strained as he felt, though naturally he wasn't running around with any injuries for once. "I think it's something wrong with your joints..." And I don't think it was from a simple fall... "Tendons and ligaments don't appear on x-rays, only bone. Which means I may send you for an MRI instead of an x-ray. You'll spend a few minutes lying down and being moved through a magnetic tube so I can see in your arm better." He was about to really suggest she have something to eat, when a thought occurred to him. "The only issue you may have with it the dye, but I'll have someone set up a room for you with food if you wish."

Sciurus took another sip of coffee, already going over in his head what the MRI show and what could be done about it, so he wasn't paying attention to Sammy for a moment. his exhaustion could wait a few more years. "? Will what? The barium dye? I haven't had an MRI in years, though it's perfectly safe for you, I promise. A lot of the new medical technology we have doesn't work on me, I'm afraid..." The surgeon smirked at the memory. The first and only time he'd ever had an MRI had been during the project with Normandy. Not only were the readings complete gibberish, the machine itself had actually combusted after his use. He still couldn't get a blood pressure monitor to work correctly for him to this day.

Oh... Sciurus arched a brow at that before sipping more coffee. She had meant food. Well he'd had breakfast before starting his shift, hadn't he? However long ago that might have been. "Hm. Out of the two of us at the moment, I believe I require the least amount of concern. But I may perhaps have a lunch eventually as soon as all of these people cease their medical misadventures." The surgeon started to rise from the stool. Maybe he'd get her some blankets after all, just as a precaution. "I'll request an MRI and return for you shortly, with a wheelchair if you feel up to it. Have you anything else, requests or comments?"

(Yesss, there are a lot of peculiar shift switches... Like, I know three drivers around here, and for a while I kept going with one of them which was slightly awkward since he was the father of my boyfriend... ^^" But then, KAPOOF~! Gone! Like, my uncle sometimes drive here, but I'm always insanely shocked to see him, since he usually has the buses for the countryside or those that go between cities and such.
