Eric swung at leopold. Leo laughed and dodged repeatedly. "Your strikes have no focus," he said ducking under the next attack. He seized the opportunity to slip around him and bash Eric in the back. Eric stumbled forward some and the turned around.

((ooh boy. I hope you're alive afterwards.)
Leopold turned around and tried to grab reiko's foot and stop her in midair. He managed to push her away, but hit his hand on her shoe. He recoiled slightly from the pain. Eric took this opportunity to try and trip his father.
Leopold barely managed to jump over it and swing at his son's face.
Eric could not avoid the hit and was nearly knocked down. He managed to place one hand on the ground and balance himself. He sprung back up and readied himself. "I see you've retained some of your training son," he laughed. Eric smiled.
"Like father like son,"
(it's going to be super awkward to have a weeklong break in the middle of a fight,)

Leopold tried to sidestep the hit, but was grazed across the calf. It stung a lot, but he didn't show it. Eric used this opportunity to launch a jump attack at his father's head. Leopold quickly looked over and pressed his staff into Eric's stomach. He sent him flying toward the house wall and pointed the staff at his throat. "Sloppy. You should never leave yourself open like that. You'll end up dead," he said. "your part of this battle is over. Go clean yourself up. You have much to learn again son,"
Eric winced as he tried to stand up. He couldn't help but smile at his Dad's words. "Same as always dad," he said. He coughed a few times and headed inside.

Leopold laughed and brought his staff up. "(Ha! I thought you didn't care about my son. He gets his skills with the ladies from me you know," he said sarcastically. He blocked the blow and sidestepped around reiko. He brought the staff up toward the back of her head. He had an idea on how to finish this. He had been holding back the whole fight.
Eric chuckled at lerana's comment. "I knew I'd lose. He's never been beaten. I'm more of a sword guy anyway," he said. He sat down next to yuki and began playing with him. "You are such a cute baby!" He said grabbing his little hands.

Leopold chuckled slightly. "(Your endurance is admirable. I haven't had someone last this long against me in five years,)" he said swinging the his staff at her legs.
the old man still has it. That was a good match though, Eric thought. He stopped playing with yuki and continued watching the fight.

Leopold pointed the staff at Reiko's throat. "(And yet you fall for the same tricks as my son. It's saddening how much mere words can shift a battle," he said. He flipped his staff and threw it toward her head. It planted itself in the ground next to her head. "(You have much to learn)'

Leopold chuckled. "(Looks like you're my first student then. I look forward to seeing you and your little panda from now on. Please note that i won't teach you everything. There's some things that must stay withing my family or even i don't know,)" he said. He looked to Eric. "Are you staying here to train to or what?"
"Sorry dad. I promised my girlfriend I would be back as soon as possible after being gone for so long with lawrence's injury,"
"Tch. You two are always getting bashed up. You guys really should be more defensive in fights. Take me flipping you into the wall over there. That blow could've been easily avoided if you simply sidestepped or put your staff out and veered mine away from you,"
"Ever thought about teaching the school?"
"Hell no. That place is all fancy swords and espionage. I'd be bored out of my mind. I'm sure your girl misses you. Go to her before she either cries herself out of sanity or begins hating you," leopold said.
Eric nodded and waved goodbye to his mother and father. Patricia had been relaxing on the couch. My son. As much as i appreciate you furthering your education on your weapon, i can't help but have heartache when you leave so soon. What am i drooping about? I need to cheer up, she thought.

Eric smiled. "I will Mr. Otanashi. I hope to see you again soon," he said. He entered his ship.
Patricia had fallen asleep on the couch.
