"Let's hope he doesn't ever find his way back here." Mala said after a moment of thought. When she noticed where Van was headed, she decided to follow after him - not really wanting to be alone at the moment. "Van? What was that snapping noice?" she asked.

"One of the victims..." Van said grimly. "Mala, don't come any closer, you probably shouldn't see this...." he called back to her. He couldn't tell at first, but he found himself in the town square, where the massacre had taken place. Now it was nothing but a boneyard.

"See what?" Mala asked, approaching anyway. Her eyes widened in horror as she saw the bones scattered across the ground. It made her almost feel ill. Thankfully, there weren't any with any rotted or charred flesh left on them. That would've made the scene before her all the more unbearable.

"Why don't you go back to the house for now?" Van said quickly stepping in front of her to block her view of the scene. "I'll try and give these people a proper burial and join you later."

Mala nodded, giving Van a tight hug before turning around to head inside. "Please, don't overwork yourself, okay?"

"I know. I'll be back before you know it." Van said hugging her back before giving her a kiss on the forehead.

{Hm...should I make a profile for Ariae now? Or should I wait until after I enter her to put one up?}
"See you soon, then." Mala muttured afterwards, heading back home and to their room as she would wait for Van to finish up.

((I don't think it matters terribly when we're the only ones RPing. XD ))
Lacking a shovel and not wanting to go hunting one down for the sake of burying the bones as fast possible for Mala's sake, Van began the long process of burying every little bone by hand.

{You've got a point there. XDD I'll enter her tomorrow(in the RP, not literally tomorrow) then, since I already have a good idea on how to worm her in.}

{Okay, thanks. XD}
Mala sat herself on their new bed, waiting patiently for Van to return.

It took a few hours, but eventually Van returned home, dirty and sweaty for working for so long. "I forget, did you have indoor plumbing back then, or did that come along a few hundred years later?" he asked as he came in.

"Not exactly. It was too expensive. So, as a substitute, we usually had to bathe in the river nearby or fill up a tub with water from the well." Mala said, sighing to herself. "Shall I go set you up a bath now? Or would you rather use the river?"

"If the well's still usable I'll do that." Van said already starting to toss aside his shirt and things.

Mala nodded and headed outside. "I'll be back." After a few minutes of checking the water, Mala looked quite surprised. She ran back in, grinning broadly. "The water's not nearly as bad as I thought it'd be! It's still useable, at least~"
