Karin smiled and chuckled. "Alright, then. Today's all about you. What do you want to do?"

Moni smiled, motioning for them to follow him. He came out at the house and closed his eyes, concentrating. A beautiful doe and her fawn appeared a minute later, and moni petted them, motioning that it was okay for his family to pet them as well.

Kina gasped quietly and cautiously moved to pet the fawn, cooing when he closed his eyes and nuzzled her hand, asking for more. Maria petted the doe a little nervously even though Moni had told her it was okay. She noticed her hand was shaking and quickly but gently set it on the doe's side so no one would notice. She was so excited her heartbeat was making her feel shaky and giddy. "Moni," Maria whispered, "they're beautiful. Do you really get to live with these adorable creatures?"

Moni smiled sweetly and nodded. Then the leopard wrom before came out, a lot bigger now, and pounced on him, making him smile as they played.

Maria squealed in surprise and fear, accidentally scaring the deer, who bolted off. "Mama," she cried, "the leopard! It's going to hurt him."
((I realized I started calling the mother the wrong name. I started calling her Karin, but it was originally Kina.))

Moni smiled and the leopard got off, and he petted him. He got out his notebook. 'The leopard is a friend of mine, that's just how we play. It teaches him to hunt, but he doesn't hurt me.' He wrote.

Maria read the mote, looked at Moni, read it again, and finally stared at Moni. "Where did he come from, though? Did you... You know, whatever it was when you got the deer to come?" She looked at the leopard playing with his pants' leg. "He's cute," she added after a minute.

'He's the one we rescued from the village. I didn't summon him, but we visit each other.' He explained, petting the cub. He was almost an adult.

Maria looked at him and how the fact that Moni's hand was on the cub's head even though Moni and the cub were standing the their full heights. "He grew fast. It's only been a few weeks since the rescue." She crouched in front of him, careful not to look directly into his eyes, and examined his fur. It was a beautiful golden color that rivaled the sun's light with black spots the color of the blackest night with no stars or moon. "He's a handsome example of his species, too. Aren't you, little guy?"

The leopard purred and rubbed against her hand, then began nipping at her fingers before Moni stopped him.

Maria pulled her hand back with a giggly yelp. "Hey, Moni, where did the deer go? Can you call them back?" She asked suddenly as she tried to pet the rather playful leopard.

Moni nodded and called them back, but they wouldn't come close with the leopard around. He explained that to Maria and smiled. 'While you play with the leopard, if he hurts you, be very still. It's my way of telling him to stop. it's sort of like playing dead.' He explained.

Moni shook his head in answer, smiling. He thought that the mother should name him after all, and he couldn't speak leopard.
((she's younger. About ten or eleven)

"Can't you ask him what his name is? I mean, you can call the animals to you, can't you? Doesn't that mean you can speak to them?" She froze after her question as the leopard started sinking his teeth and claws to deeply in her arms and body. She tried to shake and show that she was afraid he was going to hurt her as if he were hunting.
