Selina looked up at Laung and her face hardened as she narrowed her eyes, picking up her pace. "How could you just let them live like that?" she hissed angrily as she walked past him.

Selina pulled her arm away from him. "How could you agree to allow people to live like that! In the most destitute of poverty!! How could-?!" she fumbled for words and then held up the baby she had found in that little area. "How could you let this child be without shelter?!" she asked angrily, completely shocked about what she had seen.

Laung opened his mouth and looked at the baby "I didn't ... I mean I do but I didn't ... Selina ..." he said trying to bring all his thoughts into one collective sentence but he failed and he was left with half-formed thoughts

Selina pulled the child back to her and held it close. "I honestly thought you were better than that . . ." she murmured softly, with a small frown of disappointment before walking off towards the children in the playroom of the palace. She felt . . . hurt . . .

Laung looked at Selina's retreating back and then kicked at the invisible dust on the floor. He felt broken inside as Selina's face repeatly forced its way back into his mind, he looked down at his hands and murmured something before walking after Selina. "Selina! please listen!" he asked softly

Laung curled his hand back and looked at Shoco bitting his lip "I ... I didn't mean to" he whispered nodding at the baby. "Truly I didn't. I ... I'm so sorry Selina" he said hanging his head shamefully

Laung nodded from where he had his head bowed, scared to see Selina's face ... it hurt for some reason to know what her reaction would be ... "I could see if I could find some more of the children for you in the city" he said softly

Selina stiffened at that. "No. You . . . you can't go outside." she said, her dream flashing back to her as her grip tightened on the child slightly. She then sighed. "Maybe . . . maybe tomorrow you can go see the . . . village . . . if one could even call it that . . . maybe then you'll understand . . ." she murmured softly.

Selina frowned slightly. "Why don't you come with me to see the children?" she asked softly, not really wanting to return the children while their homes were still so . . . not home-like . . .

Laung started to nod his head and then stopped. "What if they don't want to see me?" he whispered looking dejectly at the floor still. He shuffled his feet nervously

Selina sighed. "We'll explain that you're sorry and you're trying to make things better, right?" she asked, a small smile tugging at the edges of her lips.
