He waves them to their seats and waits until eveyone has sat down, then he lifts his glass looking at Hopian. "Hope, yer guest and his brother... would ye do us the honor..."

Tam nods and waits to see what the young cat does. Many a time a child has reached this point i n their life only to find out that the beverage in question doesn't match their imagination. Very carefully he cuts the two ducks in halves and places one on each plate, though the portions on his plate and that of Kerobian seem decidedly skewed and not entirely equal. Realizing that not every one will want some, he places the salad in the center of the table along with the rice, allowing everyone to help them selves... and after serving the duck, sits down to eat, nibbling at his duck and sipping the wine slowly, relishing each droplet as it was a very good wine indeed.

*Kero takes a sip of it...and seems to melt in pleasure....as does Hopian, who nearly goes limp when he sips his...Fortuny, who isn't of D. Miner blood, merely chuckles at them, enjoying the wine without orgasmic pleasure....Hopian soon recovers*
This is quite excellent, Talesian....praytell, what year was it bottled?

Talesian gives him a wicked grin. "Not telling... " he says hiding the label, regretting the fact that he hadn't taken the time to look. But he had trusted the merchant, an old dear friend, who had assured him it was the absolute best bottle he had in stock. He also wasn't going to reveal how much he paid for it, a small fortune in any one's book and enough for a frugal family to live comfortably on for many many years.

*Hopian smiles at him....he knows....simply from the taste of the wine, he knows...and so does Fortuny*
Thank you, Talesian...for all you have done for us.....thank you so much.

"Events like this normally only happen once in any one's life." says Tam, quietly thinking to himself that no matter how much the elder Kero claims to be a virgin now.. he will be able to make him squirm, knowing that it simply is not true.

*Hopian nods sagely....and gets an elbow in the ribs by Fortuny....causing a laugh from Kero....which makes Tam smile....which makes Hopian nod sagely....which makes Fortuny elbow him in the ribs....*

Tam rolls his eyes and finishes his meal, knowing a repetitive gag when he sees one. When Kero isn't loking he adds more meat to the cat's plate and finishes with a salad. "So Hope, ready to do those little errands I wanted ye to go on. No need to bother with it tonight, the morning will do just fine. I'd start with the inn first, though... check to see if my order has come in. then make those deliveries. I'd do it myself... but..." He lifts his wings and grimaces, winking over Kero's head... hoping that his hidden message about setting up the party comes across

Tam sighs, knowing he really should have baked three ducks instead of two. Well he really didn't need any more, so he slides the rest from his plate onto Hopian's with a laugh. "Good thing I like rice, huh?"

Later that night, after polishing off the wine, devouring the ducks, and scarfing down Kero's desert, everyone gathers in the sitting room to relax by the fire.
"Hopian..." says Tam quietly. "I've collected tales and stories frm all around the multiverse, but oddly enough I really don't have any from your desert homelands. Can you tell us one." He leans back in his chair, his wings protected by carefully propped pillows and puts his feet to the fire.

*Hopian laughs*
Of course....we all have our own set of tales...mostly gleaned from ancient writings we dig up...though we have some few of our own....most of our legends are vampiric in origin, though....so we are a touch macabre in our storytelling...
