Tam chuckles and heads for the kitchen. "Ye know... today I feel great... not weak at all... then he accidentally bumps the broken wing on the corner of a cabinet, turning pasty white and swearing a blue streak.
Covering his ears, Hopian shakes his head, laughing. "Language, Talesian... language..."
The bard glares at him and drops into a chair. He sits there for a minute or two then starts to chuckle weakly. "Good thing he wasn't here, huh? Sorry... it kind of slipped out... Man... That Hurt! Is it still supposed to be that tender? It's been over a week and a half already?"

"Probably distilled from moonstones, huh?" Tam stands up and glares at the cabinet. "Ye know I walk pass that thing day in and day out and nothing.... I love me wings, but they ain't made for indoors. Wish I could absorb them and heal them that way, but Shar said they'd probably warp iffin I do."

Tam laughs as he pulls out his skillet. "Not the cabinets, silly... my wings. I can heal small injuries to them by absorbing them and not morphing for a time. But Shar says if I do that right now, the bones will heal but not correctly as I couldn't absorb the splints with them."

Tam shakes his head. "Ye know.. you are being exceptionally obstinate or dense this morning. Did I do something last night you are angry about or something? I was glaring at the cabinet because I hit it... ok... normally I don't... this cottage can be tight with these feathery contraptions on me back... I'm not used to it."

Tam smiles as he peels the potatoes. "Ye know... that storm this morning left me a bit dull as well. Still, I feel better now. Anyway.. dig out the stuff for the omelets, ok. The mushrooms and peppers should be held in the storeroom Kero dug in the garden, just be careful, his entry passage is rather steep.. take a light or ye'll miss yer step."

Oh...it's a celebration, alright...akin to a Quince, or a sweet sixteen....warping is a rite of passage for both sexes....and when they come out of it....there is always one helluva party!!!

"Good..." says Tam grinning like a madman, because I was thinking we should throw one... a big one... inviting all his friends from town and the temple, plus any of your ffamily if they'll come. I won't be able to attend... not like this, but I can watch... isn't that what guardians do... watch on, anyway. We could see if John will lend us his barn for the night. Shouldn't be too hard to fit everyone in there. He deserves it. Bet he hasn't had a wingdig throw from him before.. at least not one that big."

Oh, you could attend as well....I can use EM fields to disguise your wings....and Mica told me Kero can use illusions now, right? We just mask you as yourself, and off we go....Kero'd love that, you know.
