I have Gen III starters, Lin, if you'd rather one of those to a Scizor.
I mean, I teach you how to get a Scizor without trading... >.>

No Internet that I have can utilise Pokemon yet so it'll take me quite a while. But I'd definitely be able to help with the legendaries (though... I don't have any extras. I'll have to do the switch-switch thing unless you're looking for extras). I can definitely GTS some from you. So, uh, guys, currently I have this moveset with defense-trained Pokemon: ClefableAttractThunder WaveIce BeamMoonlight SpiritombAttractWill-o-WispConfuse RayRest UmbreonAttractConfuse RayToxicFaint Attack
Any suggestions to this? So far it's been kinda-easy, but very long, battles. I'm trying to make an attrition team.

I really need to get my wireless back up so I can trade for legendaries. crying Probably won't have time to get that done until the summer.
Anyone thinking of getting Platinum?

I kinda want it, but the storyline was never a big important part to me in the Pokemon games (the interaction was my selling point). The added features (Wi-Fi Mini Games Room, think like those minigames in N64 Pokemon Stadium; Message updates to either eMail or Wii message whenever a GTS trade is accomplished; The Dark World; and Alternate Forms for Giratina, Rotom, and Shaymin) are either just nifty add-ons or can't be utilised with Diamond and Pearl players.

I'll probably get it eventually to add to my collection, but I'm not gonna spend $50 on it...
Anyway, Lin, I question your choice of Ice Beam for your Clefable. It's limited to 16 moves max which is awfully limited for prolonged battles. I think you'd be better off with Flamethrower, it has the same power, has a max of 24, and comes with the chance of burning the opponent...
Although, I suppose that burning doesn't do any good if you're paralyzing them anyway...

Yeah, I've been trying to fiddle around with which moves would work best with each. I definitely need to give the Spiritomb some offensive move, if only to make it much faster. The reason I chose Ice Beam is because Ice is a good general purpose element (though Fire is too). I'll go make another Clefairy baby and see what I get.
I'd hope that my opponents would give up before I actually have to destroy them. X3
Confusion + Attraction + Paralysis == 82% move fail, lowered speed, possible damage per turn. Confusion + Attraction + Toxic == 75% move fail, damage per turn. Confusion + Attraction + Burn == 75% move fail, lowered physical attack, damage per turn.
Maybe I should throw Sing or something somewhere. Spore would be sweet but a Smeargle or a Parasect would get slaughtered. I could just get rid of Toxic in place of a sleep move.

I got Platinum some time after it came out. Honestly I find it to be way better than D/P. There are way more wild pokemon (still not enough fire-types but they added Vulpix). Yeah as far as storyline, nothing has really changed enough to catch my attetion (but I'm not that far into the game either). But I love getting an Eevee early on. They give you like 3 pokemon in the span of about 2 cities. Weird.
I for sure love the updated Surf speed. D/P was so slow....
I don't get WiFi where I live and I don't ever feel like wandering about to find it.... Shame on me...

Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought. The only reason for me to get Platinum, then, would be for the off-chance that Nintendo would see fit to bestow the Member Card or Azure Flute on the western world.
Which I don't think is likely. Still, if I find a copy of it cheap, I'd probably pick it up for posterity. Like my $15 copy of Pearl...

Hrmmm... Can't you just get those cards from attending a Pokemon event in the area? Granted, there hasn't been a Pokemon event in Minnesota if I can recall correctly. They've usually been in the Nintendo World Pokemon Center in New York City or somewhere on the West coast.

124-C: If you still need help with transferring those Pokémon I'd be glad to help. I have way too much free time on my hands x'D. So, shoot me a PM or in the off chance that I see you post in here leave me a message here. I suppose I should find my friendscode and my games though. x'D

I'm vaguely interested (read: I'm interested but poor), but I think I'll be getting it after another acquisition which has piqued my interest.

I can't get any event due to the fact that I live in a dinky town in the Midwest which is NOWHERE near Chicago. However in my backyard there's a hotspot with wi-fi so I can get Pokemon via GTS. My friend code's in my sig.
