Ah, sweet madness all about. I feel at home already.
You see before you, represented poorly by the plain fonts in which he must work, a lunatic of a more pleasant sort. To represent the planet Earth as "the norm," you would find my mind giggling disconcertingly in a crater on the dark side of the moon. I am not a terribly complicated person on my own, but I do spin some terribly complex and confusing plots, and I'll admit right now that I habitually over-think things. Simple solutions just don't sit with me- I instinctively construct story arcs that would make Rube Goldberg's head spin.
Call me what you like, I answer to my username or the appropriate character name for whichever roleplay you know me from, or whatever nickname you think would be appropriate, as long as I know you're talking to me. I think in dark colors, blues and blacks primarily, and never just in the context of sight. I like red smells, black textures, blue sounds and purple flavors. [It's called synesthesia, and it's a great way to mess with people.] I treat everything like a buffet, from politics to pop culture, taking only the stuff I like and leaving the green wobbly bits behind.
I tend toward very strange tastes in just about everything, and never within any one specific genre alone. Books, music, movies, video games, I have a spectrum of nearly every flavor they can offer, though I do prefer less "contemporary" settings in favor of high fantasy and sci-fi. Were I less hesitant to just fill space with trivia, I could give you a very, VERY long list of my current and favorite titles and ideas.
While I've only been with Gaia a year now, I've been roleplaying online since before the commercial use of broadband internet service, and I was part of several AD&D groups even before that, back in the glory days of 2nd Edition. Most of my writing style has developed in the last three or four years, however, and I'm not ashamed that it's still a bit rough around the edges. My current exercise is a long and winding fanfic hosted on my own themed roleplay guild, the link to which is in my signature. Hopefully I'll finally get the second chapter finished and really get it moving again. Writer's block can be such a pain.
The personalities of my characters are as varied as the plots for which they are made, but I'm terrible at trying to play what you'd call a "hero" character type. Most of them will eschew mainstream popularity and gladly leave the spotlight to those who look better standing in it, doing only the least that they must to appease the world around them. The scoundrel, the black-market fixer, the lone wolf soldier, the jaded recluse and bleary-eyed occultist, but also the guy that takes funny shortcuts in the schoolyard, plays hooky from pep rallies just for the extra time to work on his term project, creates the crossword puzzle for the school paper while sitting in detention for heckling his history teacher, sells cigarettes, snack foods and office supplies out of his locker and provides B+ papers cheap to the kids that get bullied into doing the jocks' homework. The guy who goes to the motor rally at the cliffs and comes back with a truck full of scrap metal and everyone's hubcaps, who wouldn't touch drugs because they'd harsh his natural buzz, who climbs the overpass where someone has spray-painted "Free Mendoza" and adds "with every purchase!" [Can't claim credit for that joke, but there's no better way to describe it.]
In other words, I play the guy who makes his own rules and lives by them, who avoids violence when he can but kicks butt with a steel-toed clown shoe, and who doesn't back down from anyone, not even the good guys.
In closing, I wish to say only one more thing.

@Chronicler: I've never known anyone else who knows about it and I rarely ever talk about it. I noticed I experience my world with all my senses differently because of synesthesia. Because of it my favorite foods are strawberry cheese cake, pistachio ice cream and fried sprat which appear red (my fav color), and I love standing in the rain because it feels like crystal wind chimes. heart
I relived I had it when I was...twelve I think and my mummy took me to an acupuncturists with her. My default color for pain is grey >.<{.-.}

You turn a very carmine phrase, my Lady, and not many people can mingle their senses like that. I don't know if we're taught to automatically shunt our sensations into their seemingly mandatory places, or if there's a particular natural block that we've overcome. You'd actually be, maybe, the fourth or fifth person that really understands more than just the written explanation. I surprised a professional "psychic" at a staff retreat one time with it. Fun times.

I'm Xizna and I'm a spiffy new freshman.
I dislike emoticons so if I don't use them much, pardon me. I'm not above making mistakes (mostly due to absentmindedness) so I don't mind being corrected, even if said crudely, as long as you got good intentions and you're right.
I RP only heterosexual females. Hetero male if I'm in the mood for it. It's for personal reasons and definitely not because of prejudice.
As for RP likes, I prefer normalcy. I've had enough of fetishes and dark stuff to last me fifty lifetimes. So if you're the sort to crave light-hearted fluff or at least the angst equivalent of soap operas and Asian drama, I can provide many plot ideas. That probably narrows down my chances to be RP'd but that's my preference. I hope to at least be respected for it.
I like and am familiar with a lot of things - everything from anime to pop culture to world history - and I learn fast.
I guess that's about it. Thanks for having me here.

as far as finding out about the guild, me friend told me about this place and to tell the truth i've been dying to get into some good lit rps xP
anyways, hajimemashite and salve amici!
i'm a senior in high school in real life, and i know both latin and a bit of japanese. i love classical, rock, and techno as far as music goes, and i live off of yaoi, video games, drawing, and acting/singing x333 as far as my characters go for role playing i love anti-heroes and or the tragic heroes because they are both the styles of people who i like to torture and show flaws of modern day society. (and yes, this means throwing me characters down a HUGE amount of plot twists and villainy) my own flaws however include me inability to use correct spellings and grammar from time to time, though i try to catch as many of me own types-os as possible before *and mostly* after posting ^^;;
xD and i swear, i'm not as crazy as i seem. heart wink
