Everyone manages to load in on the surrounded Roper. After Ruin's attack the Roper is bloodied!
Valac returns the favor to the Roper in the back of the room and severely wounds it with his devastating onslaught of attacks.
Irene moves out from behind the rocks and up to the already slain roper, but everyone is too engaged in battle to really pay attention to what she is doing.

"Anyone know if these things taste like squid or octopus?" Ruin would ask out of the blue as he called forth an equally blue flame surrounding to surround his sword. "I ask because I am craving a good fishermen's stew at the moment."

36/71 hit points, Grabbed, R1 Marked, +2 to hit until Kuori's next turn, +2 Kuori bonus to damage in area
ROPER'S TURN
"That 'friend' of yours needs to start pulling his gods-forsaken weight, Ilikan!" Revenge would call out as the Roper lashed him relentlessly.
KUORI'S TURN
Kuori laid into the Roper, striking it with her mace in such a way that caused unfamiliar divine energy to spark forth and shower him. Revenge hadn't experienced this before so was momentarily caught off guard, especially after being assailed by the roper so. But he nods solemnly in appreciation and steels himself.
Quote:
Revenge spends a healing surge and regains 17 hit points
MINOR ACTION
Still, the damage was done, and Revenge's boiling Tiefling blood began to heat his skin as he gritted his teeth.
Quote:
Infernal Wrath Classic, Revenge has +1 to hit and +5 damage against R1
MINOR ACTION
"Probably neither, considering its biome. But we can kill it to find out, if you'd like... he'd say lowly in response to Ruin's question.
Quote:
Divine challenge on R1
STANDARD ACTION
"I tire of your existence, foul beast. Be slain already! Revenge would say, tightening his grip on his weapon before forcing his weapon into the monster's hide, chilling frost crackling around the wound.
Quote:
Enfeebling Moonstrike, 30 vs AC-2. If it hits, 22 cold damage and R1 takes -2 to attack rolls and AC until the end of Revenge's next turn.

Illikan laughed, striking at the tentacles holding Revenge as he pulsed with the primal energy again, letting it soak through the creature as he took a swing with his hammer again, trying to rattle its tentacles enough to make it let go of the man.
"Your god must be louder. I'll have to show you what to do with that shield later."

Gate Keepers
(Squares filled entirely by stone are blocking terrain, otherwise stones taking up roughly half a square provide partial cover, and stones smaller then that are difficult terrain to move over)
Initiative Order Ruin HP: 34/65, +2 shield bonus to AC and Reflex 11THP, 11 cold damage at start of turn to adjacent enemies Revenge HP:36/71, Ilikan HP:63/83. Ropers: Kuori HP: 36/59, Valac: HP: 6/75, Grappled Bloodied Irene:
The roper barely survives everyone's onslaught but as it moves but as it moves to make one final attack it frost-burned to death by Ruin's magical Armor. The roper falls over dead covered in wounds and frost.
The last roper lashes out and Valac and it looks the creature is finally starting to get the better of the barbarian as it wraps it's two tentacles around the tiefling and squeezes him tight (two hits 33 damage total)
((Kuori up!))

(Delaying initiative until after Illikan / Revenge, I am pretty tapped on big heals and the two dailies I have left need me to be in a better initiative, and or right up on the enemy.)
Valac struggled against the tentacles of the roper but it was wearing him down and he was unable to break free.
In desperation Valac channeled his rage in an attempt to finish the roper before it could strike back. The blow was lack lustre his rage being held back by being bound.

Despite being bound Valac manages to sink his blade pass the ropers natural rocky armor and deep into its flesh, causing it to scream.
Irene looks up only momentary before going back to whatever she is doing at the Roper's corpse.
((Valac's attack bloodies the Roper for those who have powers that's relevant to.))

Double movement M18 (Can't do much else)
After noticing the creature was not breathing, Ruin took off running only coming to a sliding stop. "Wait, Valac wanted a fair fight with that thing. Would it be prudent to rush in and save him?"
Posted: Fri Sep 27, 2019 7:45 pm
36/71 hit points, -5 to attack rolls until start of next turn; grants combat advantage until start of next turn; Shield dropped in K17, -2 to AC and Reflex
MOVE ACTION
Can't let the momentum die! With no monster in visible sight, but the sound of battle about where he last saw the roper, Revenge would feel safe running around the corner.
Quote:
Run action to P19, going south around Ilikan and Kuori.
MOVE ACTION
Seeing Valac closer to death than the beastie was, Revenge would smirk mischievously.
"He wanted a fair fight? He said nothing about not cheering him on!" Revenge would suddenly announce.
And with that, heavy plated boots would charge along the ground.
Quote:
Run action again! Move northerly around the rock and Ruin, ending at I17
FREE ACTION
Right before his destination (right about K17), Revenge would drop his shield (it hasn't been doing any good, anyways).
Quote:
Shield dropped, -2 to AC and Reflex
MINOR ACTION
As he ended his charge, Revenge would thrust his arm out, giving Valac a smack in the back! "Show him what for, Valac!"
There maaaay be a bit of divine essence in the supportive smack.
Quote:
Lay on Hands. Revenge spends a healing surge, but regains no hit points. Valac regains hit points equal to his surge value +5 (I believe 23 hit points)

Illikan would look at the others go, taking his time to march over after Valac, looking over him and the roper as he marched up and stopped beside the thing, just far enough to be out of the tieflings way. "You know, that other one had already scuffed you up before you started. Want me to help negate your handicap a little, or do you got this?" The Warden asked, standing by ready to help the moment Valac needed went down or asked for it, and not a moment sooner.
[Double Move to H20] [If Valac consents, Illikan will mark the roper. Otherwise, ending his turn.]

Move to M19 18 to hit for 0 damage, if hit Roper has a -2 to all defenses and the next one to hit it gains 7 HP ... but idk if that hits.
Kuori runs around the corner with the others to see a very beat up Valac, she shoots a seal towards it, hoping for a bit of healing to go with a distraction, but it goes a bit wide.
"Alright, hold on a minute!" Purple energy starts to gather around her feet, working its way upward.

The heavily wounded roper tries to real Valac in and take a bite out of him but the barbarian manages to keep his blade between himself and the gaping razor filled maw of the roper, thwarting his attempt.
((Valac Up, Ilikan's mark is triggered so you may make your attack. ))

Revitalized from Revenge's Lay on Hands Valac flexes properly shedding the tentacles from his body.
Now free from his flesh based bonds Valac raises his full blade in an upper cut motion, the hit is true but Valac managed to catch the roper with the flat of his massive blade Still Valac sent the Roper flying with a mighty yell.
