Leopold sighed. " (ugh, this day just is one big barrel of sunshine isn't it?)" he said to himself. He walked back to the backyard. Eric was setting the two staffs on a rack. He looked to reiko, then went back to work. Leopold came to the yard. " (I apologize for snapping at you. Recent times have made life more troublesome than usual. Oh, you have your own place right? My house is pretty full now since our friends house burned down,)" he said. He clapped twice and blinked a few times. " Ok. Let's get This thing started,"

Kiru jumped over the fence, watching Leopold. "Greetings." Lerana was in the kitchen, playing with her son.

Leopold was suprised to see Kiru appear so suddenly. " I thought you were inside. Oh well, lerana is with the boy. I'm currently stuck with these two for a few hours. We can have a nice chat afterwards and maybe search the wreckage or something," he said. Eric finished settin up the equipment.

Kiru smirked. "I've actually done that already. I just need boxes." He looked at Eric and Reiko. Lerana brought Yuki outside to watch.

Leopold sighed with relief. " ok good. I can help you later," he said. He saw lerana had brought out yuki. ooh. How interesting. I haven't demonstrated my skills for an audience in a long time. Lets hope these old muscles still have it, he thought. He quickly walked in and grabbed the family staff. He pointed to Eric. " a demonstration is in order. Now son, would you like to take me on by yourself? Or would you like your little girlfriend and her panda to help you?" he chuckled. Eric huffed. "I can't even speak her language. Plus, she's an assassin. I could never get along with her," he said defiantly. Leopold laughed. " If only you were that defensive in real combat. I guess we'll have her decide, " Leopold looked toward reiko. " do you want to get some hands-on experience right away or should I let you watch me beat the crap out of my son first?" he said. Leopold smiled confidently. He knew what he was doing.

Reiko smiled. "(I'd rather not let you hand your son his a** on a silver platter, so I'll get some experience now.)" Yuki seemed to be enjoying his stay at Leopold's home. He looked up at his mother before cooing and then trying to catch a nearby butterfly.

Leopold laughed. " (I was hoping you'd say that. Perhaps you'll actually put up a fight," he said. Eric couldn't understand a single thing Leo and reiko were talking about. I definitely need to learn this language after this. Something tells me it will come in handy, he thought.

Leopold looked to Eric. " Oi! Get up. You two are both fighting me at once. I want a good effort out of my own kid. Let's see if you remember anything," he smirked. Eric stood up and grabbed a bostaff. "Don't get cocky pops," he said. "Ich bin kein Kind!" " Welcher," leopold replied. " Standard rules. The weapon you have now is all you may use. No hidden weapons or explosives. Magic of all sorts is forbidden. Healing items are not to be used. The match ends when the opponent falls and does not get up for ten seconds or if a severe injury is sustained. Bleeding is not a severe injury," he said. He repeated the rules to reiko in japanese." Are you two ready? " he said. Eric cracked his neck and readied his staff. "Bring it!"

Reiko nodded and set Rice down. She nodded at Leopold. "(I am ready, yes.)" Rice wandered next to Kiru and his family.

Leopold nodded and then laughed. " Let's get the blood pumping!" he said. Eric walked up to his father and they tapped staffs. This was a personal thing they did as a sign of respect for each other. " Begin!" Leo shouted. Eric wasted no time in going on the offensive. He thrust the staff repeatedly at his father. Leopold stepped to the side and swung the lower part of his staff at Eric. He blocked it.

Eric sidestepped after being nearly hit. "Whoa there! We're fighting HIM together! Watch where you swing that," he said angrily. Leopold laughed. " Ha! I didn't expect that to happen!" he said. " (but he is right miss. You two were supposed to fight me. I'm the professional here. I don't need help beating my son," he chuckled. He quickly swung his staff at her stomach.

"(Oh.)" Reiko said before the staff hit her in the stomach. She stumbled back and then charged at Leopold.
