OMG!! I lvoed the eppy!! Charlie was so cute trying to keep the baby quiet. he was rocking it and singing to it and just . . .trying his best to be a good . . .what is he to the baby? Anyway, when he started to follow Sawyer cause he found that Sawyer's voice calmed the baby down, I was laughing my head off. Sawyer started running from him and Charlie kept following him. Then Sawyer reading to the baby and Charlie and Claire sitting there with the baby, listening. SO CUTE!!
And the whole Sayid sad story stuff . . .POOR SAYID!! Poor Locke as well. He has to carry around the guilt of Boone's death with him. I can't wait till next week!!

OH it's so crazy... but I actually liked SHannon for once... or at least I had respect for her. I kinda expected her to laugh at Boone's death.
THough I did think Jack was a WEE bit too melodramatic...

TheTsunuffy Why was Sawyer reading a car magazine to the baby instead of one of his many YA novels we've seen him with? Or one of the 50000 copies of Harry Potter or the DaVinci Code that were undoubtedly on the plane? Because he decided to read the kid something to increase his intelligence. wink

mahni_evans OH it's so crazy... but I actually liked SHannon for once... or at least I had respect for her. I kinda expected her to laugh at Boone's death. THough I did think Jack was a WEE bit too melodramatic... Well, in his defense, he was kind of stressed out and hadn't slept yet. I get all kinds of cranky when I haven't slept in a few days.

I have a really unhealthy urge to beat the crap out of Kate after watching this episode. She's a martyr, plain and simple, and I despise martyrs. The fact that she blames herself for Tom's death, ugh, she deserves to be slapped, I really wish she would just die, she's the only character on the island I hate (Shannon may be a b***h, but unlike Kate, she's a b***h that lives up to that title without pretending to be lovable).
I also hated how she tried to manipulate Michael through his son, saying he should stay behind. That look he gave her though, like "Step off, b***h!" was just too cool, kudos to him.

great goddess arkaina I have a really unhealthy urge to beat the crap out of Kate after watching this episode. She's a martyr, plain and simple, and I despise martyrs. The fact that she blames herself for Tom's death, ugh, she deserves to be slapped, I really wish she would just die, she's the only character on the island I hate (Shannon may be a b***h, but unlike Kate, she's a b***h that lives up to that title without pretending to be lovable).
I also hated how she tried to manipulate Michael through his son, saying he should stay behind. That look he gave her though, like "Step off, b***h!" was just too cool, kudos to him. To be fair, if I were in Kate's position I would blame myself for Tom's death too. And to be perfectly honest, taking a kid onto a raft during a monsoon sounds rather moronic to me as well.

The major problem on the island is that nobody tells anybody anything. It's really very realistic, but still annoying.

on my part.
i thought this episode was so sad!!!!!
i never looked at kate and thought she had a childhood like that! she seemed so... action grl and evrything... not little grl with a bf hoo dug time capsuls!
and that guy married sum1 else. that was sad.

and that guy married sum1 else. that was sad.Dr. Tom Hobbit Brother Owner of Annoying Tiny Plane Guy That Kate Got Dead... Well, to be fair, it seems like Kate took off as soon as she could, for whatever reason. And, it seems like she didn't much keep in touch. So you can't blame him for moving on... Interesting, though, how you assume he was her boyfriend. I thought that they were just friends when they buried that time capsule. I always thought Kate had something going on, because she seems to be an almost compulsive liar. But I couldn't figure what it was from the way they meted out the parts, and the fact that I never like her much. Her story actually seems to be coming together quite nicely, which is good. Her need to go everywhere with everyone every time is still a bit annoying and, really, rather unexplained.

So people might come here to discuss, say, 'House of the Rising Sun,' because they've been thinking about it. But they haven't had a chance to watch today's episode. We only do it for about a day, to give people a chance to view their tapes or DVRs.
