*arranges Talon's hair perfectly and with love*
I have the best Hummingbird Lantern thanks to the fine folk at Schrodt Designs, Inc at 1287 Oak St., Ashland! They are a neat, artistic, eco-concious group of people. I have a pair of Black-throated hummingbirds that have claimed it. Amazing creatures: hummingbirds - bumblebee sized birds. eek

Launcher That's awesome. If you go there again, let us know. You'll be the first to know if I make a trip to Ashland, OR, Launcher. I have every intention of visiting Ashland. I just don't know when. I bought the hummingbird feeder here in N. Cali. We've got to wrangle enough time off so that we have time to drive up through Oregon to the Seattle area from here, where we have relatives I've never met.

Ashland, OR, continues to be on my mind. The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Pacific Division is holding its 86th annual meeting at the Southern Oregon University June 12-16,2005. I am a member of the AAAS and recieved in the mail Saturday a Newsletter from AAAS Pacific Division. It includes interesting articles on SOU and about Ashland. It includes photos of Ashland in the summer time. Can you really see Mount Ashland with snow on it in June? eek They will have field trips to Bear Lake, over the Wasatch Mts into Cache Valley. Scientific meetings are a real rush (old fashioned term) and I used to love attending them. Most scientists go when their work place pays the way. I'm not associated with any organization that could pay my way...yet. Next week end I'm invited to a meeting at the San Fransisco Botanical Gardens in the Golden Gate Park. I will be able to go to that and look forward to it. biggrin
