~*OOC*~ What the hell just happened to your character? Oh well, I guess I'll find out later. ~*OOC*~
Sythe saw Vanity disappear under the water, and immediately dove after her. "Vanity? Where are you? What happened?" he asked telepathically, establishing a mind-link in order to find where she was. After a tense moment of searching, Sythe pinpointed her, and sped downards, heading in her direction. "Tell me before I get there so I know what to do." he said, his voice demanding.
After a bit of swimming, Sythe reached Vanity, and took her chin in one of his hands, lifting her head so he could look into her eyes.... which were closed? Not a good sign. "Vanity? Can you hear me? Respond!" he said through the link.

What's that sound?.....is that...my heart? Thum thump thump. "Vanity, wake up Vanity you'll be late to school." Father? Before her eyes was a man, but she could not see him. He was right there in front of her face yet she could not see him! "Wake up Vanity." I am awake. "no you're not." W-what? "Wake up..." Then as close as he was to her, the man was soon disinagrating right before Vanity's eyes. Papa! Wait! Vanity spread open her arms and shot forward trying to capture the man around the neck. Vanity tightened her embrace on him, but when she opened her eyes...she had her arms around Sythe.

Sythe was surprised at Vanity's sudden movement, catching him off-guard. He stayed frozen for a while, his hands held straight out in front of him on either side of Vanity. After his brain slowed and actually thought about the situation, Sythe put his arms around Vanity, giving her a short hug, before releasing her. "Well, I'm glad to see that you're alright." he said, smiling to her.

Vanity blinked a couple of times tilting her head to side in a childish manner before she finally realized that she still had her arms around Sythe. "G-gomen." She said before leting go of her tight grip on Sythe's neck. Vanity bashfully looked down towards the river bed floor seeing as they wre in that dome again. She pursed her lips and knit her eyebrows in frustration seeing as she couldn't get a single thought on what the "dream" she had just had was about.

Sythe smiled. "No problem." Sythe said. "Now, let's get you up to the surface, then you can tell me what the hell just happened." Sythe said, using psychokinesis to lift them both up. THe water above them opened as they went, and it rushed in below them, with touching them. Sythe set them both down on the riverside, and he sat down. "So, what actually did just happen?"

Vanity looked down and opened her mouth slowly as if trying to carefully choose her words, "Uh...cramps? Hehehehe." Father was right...i am such a hopeless liar! It seemed that Vanity was also forgetful for she forgot Sythe could read minds. Nyah!Vanity started feeling uncomfortable with Sythe's gaze on her guilty form and so started to pulling on the hem of her short white shorts whilst swinging her leggs over the river and continuosly splashing water up and down making small splashes in the dark of the forest seem like stars falling.

Deoradhan By this time Doran had rinsed out his hair, srubbed himself down, and worked the conditioner into his hair. At the moment, he was sitting on the edge of the tub and grooming his tail. He heard Gunther and blinked. "Why wouldn't I? I just need to detangle my fur and I'm just about done!" The boy called. He made sure to get everything untangled while it was still wet, seeing that when his fur and hair alike dried he'd have an easier time brushing them. "Just checking on you," Gunther noted, placing some clean clothes outside the door. "Dinner's in a few minutes, just come when you're ready. We're having steak." The young lord explained. "I left some clothes for you outside the door. Come on to the dinner table when you're done." And then he left. ((Don't know if Doran grabbed clothes or not, sorry. XP))

The Mansion of the Ribbon was a marvelous place, it had a name, a history, but the under the façade of such magnificence, such grandeur, lay a history of sin and pleasure, a tight coil of all things evil and all things wrong. Yet this same cold place and all its marble armor was home to perhaps hundreds of lost souls and ill-fated victims of the twisted game. Yes, these little cells with their accompanying cot and thin, ragged sheets were homes, or, at least, until a master came with purchasing rights and offered larger homes of more satisfying dimensions. Many detested their cells, if the looks of dismay and outrage were anything to measure by, but for one, meek creature, it was the only refuge he had ever found beyond the broken shed of his past.
Here, at least, he had food, no matter how putrid, and water to sate his hungers when they arose. Here he had a bed to rest his weary head on; he had several encompassing walls that shielded him from nature’s domain. There was never the need to beg for food or pick through the wastes in the dumpster with such accommodations now presented before him. In the Mansion of the Ribbon, repetition ruled all, and with it came the luxury of knowing what to expect and never having to worry about surprises. Of course, there were the unexpected events, but Buu was content enough to overlook these faint ripples in the otherwise still lake.
But to the naked eye, it was easy to see that Buu was not content at all, and that the satisfied smile that the slave wore was no more candid than the outer-appearance of the mansion. No, Buu was very discontent, but not with the food, for the food was delicious, nor was he ruffled by the rough materials of the cots, for the slave could have never asked for anything more comfy, but he was unhappy with himself. There had never been a more incompetent slave as him, Buu thought. While all the other slaves had a myriad of ribbons, all beautifully, seductively entwined on various body parts, Buu had only three colors, and that was including his extended white ribbon, hopeless entangled around his skinny legs.
Two colors, red and green, perhaps the two most useless colors anyone could have ever acquired. Who needed a slave who could do housework when maids could do just the same. Who would want a slave for a companion when there were other more sophisticated and more intelligent out in the real world. As he looked at his left wrists and at the two ribbons wrapped around it, Buu could not think of a more useless color combination, but there were there, knotted in such a way that they couldn’t be removed or chewed off. Buu would just have to live with them and look on at the other slaves with meek jealousy and hope, as all lost people hope, that someone would come and find him. He prayed that this person be kind or at least look upon him kindly, but he knew not to wish for too much, for overburdened wishes never make it very far before collapsing, and so settled himself with making tiny, fragmented prayers that would, with any luck, make it to the same place, gather up again, and become complete.

Doran had his own set of clothes, as I recall: form fitting jeans, a white t-shirt, and a brown vest. "Steak?" He called back, his ears perking up and salvating just by saying the word. It's been a while since the fox had steak. Doran hurried with his grooming and dried himself off. He put his clothes on and brushed his hair and tail one last time before rushing out of the room. It wasn't hard to pick up the scent of the meal and Doran all but whimpered in anticepation. Of course, he had no idea how to get to the dining room... "Gunnnnther!"

Gunther heard the distressed wail and chuckled softly. "One second, mother, I'll go get him." He got from his chair, going straight past his mother's chair and out to the main hall. There he noticed Doran standing by the bathroom door, completely lost. "It's this way, Doran." He motioned toward the dining room, at the same time noting how well the foxboy's clothes fit on him.

Iyla looked from the deep mahogany floors to the man standing beside her. "How lovely," she murmured. "Is the entire house like this?" She dared to walk a few paces here and there, examining the plants that decorated the hall, when suddenly she turned, her hands behind her back. "Thank you. May we continue please?" Her voice, as well as her face, was serious. It was, indeed, a beautiful place, but what she was most interested in was her room, and his. She was incredibly excited about everything, really. She was ready for change, and this was change indeed, but it needed to happen faster or impatience would come into play.
But she could always wait. That was one talent she possessed unendingly.
ll I am SO sorry! I have been INCREDIBLY busy lately... I've fallen behind on like, everything. GAAAH! Sososo sorry... ll

~*OOC*~ Don't worry about it. ~*OOC*~
"Cramps, eh?" Sythe commented, before shrugging and looking up through the canopy of trees to the evening sky. "If you don't want to tell me, then I will not force you. Although... I expect that you will tell me sometime in the future what just happened, whether it be one day from now, or a year." Sythe added, as he lay down on the grass, closing his eyes. His hands went behind his head, using them as a cushion. His eyes opened halfway, looking up to the sky, before looking to Vanity. I wonder what did happen. I would very much like to probe her mind for that information, but I think it would be better if she told me herself. Sythe thought, before returning his gaze back up to the sky.
Jei nodded. "Yes, the whole thing is pretty much as beautiful as this." he responded. He watched as she examined the plants and such. When she asked if they continue, he motioned towards the stairs. "Upstairs we go, and I'll show you your room." he said, as he headed towards the stairs. The stairs, too, were mahogany, tempered as the floor was in order to be able to stand up to the wear of people walking on them. The top floor had a deep oaken floor, and the walls were a rich, deep orange-brown, complimenting the floor. Upon reaching the top, Jei motioned to the door just to the right and in front of them. "Your room is right here." he said, as he ventured over to it, creeping open the door.
The door opened to reveal quite the spacious bedroom, oaken floors continuing in from the hallway. The bed was king-size, and adorned with many sheets and pillows. The bed frame had four tall posts, extending up seven or eight feet, and the wood that the bedframe was made of was dark, again to compliment the richness of the oak floor. There was a bedside table on each side, and dressers on the left side of the room, as well as an armoire that housed a television. On the right side was a large closet, that was open and already filled with women's clothing. Just near the end of that wall, there was a door which lead to a lavish en-suite bathroom. Everything was marble, from the floor to the countertops, and the floor was heated using a system that ran hot water through coils of pipe under the floor. THe bath wasn't really a bath, more like a small hot tub. Jets could be seen in many places, and the taps were elegant and made of stainless steel. A large mirror took up a good portion of the wall over the large, oval-shaped sink.
Jei turned to Iyla. "So.... what do you think of your living quarters?"
~*OOC*~ Man, I'm a horrible designer. Mahogany giving way to oak? >.< ~*OOC*~

Vanity sighed and pulled her knees up to her chest. What's the harm, i guess he desreves to know. "I have...an illness. It effects mostly my lower body and legs, but mostly my ankles. If i strain or put too much weight on it then an emence pain will go through it due to my bones being incredibly weak. I don't know why it decided to attack while i was swimming, that's never happened...." Vanity took another deep breath before continuing, "I guess it's getting worse."
"But it's not life threatening or anything!" She said looking at Sythe frantically, "I'll just not be able to use my lower body any longer, but when that'll happen, i don't know." She realized she seemed to have dampened the mood a little and started playing with the little orb Sythe had given her while waiting for his reaction. Her heart seemed to be louder and getting faster due to the nervousness of his awaited judgement. She wondered if he would send her back to the Mansion because of this.
