Listening to the double doors, Mercy would hear no sound within. And, as stated, would open them.
Whereas before there was a mess hall and a pantry, this room seemed to be the barracks. Several cots with dingy cloth rags dotted the room, five in total. All the cots were unoccupied. There were no items of note whatsoever.
But there was another door at the far side of the chamber, on the north wall. It looked... surprisingly nice, for a door. It was painted a dark magenta with black swirls in an intricate design upon it. If inspected closer, the handle would be well-polished (contrasting the grimy and worn handles on the other doors), with a keyhole beneath it, implying this door could be locked.
