Frowning, the handsome wizard simly replied, "Unfortunately, not all of us have endless amounts of magical potential." To further explain, he said, "Ever since the wizards were driven into hiding, our magics have lost their shine and a majority of their power, hence the reason why we've stolen so many relics from the trolls and other creatures. A middle-aged man stepped forward the the amulet that they needed to be enchanted. The man also whispered in his ear and Loch nodded, keeping silent and his face taking on a thoughtful expression.

He stared "Its a shame my people have been reduced down to this by the dragon I used to call mother." he said shaking his head. He looked at the amulet and sighed "Can we get this over with." he said "I just wanna see her one last time before I confront Luje." he said. He walked over to the amulet "Alright so what kind of enchantment were you hoping for?" he asked "I can imbue it with my natural magic so you can harness it and everyone can grow in strength." he said though doing something like that would weaken him greatly for quite some time. He looked at the man though "You better not be trying to fool me however...I haven't been awake that long and I'm already tried of it." and focused on the amulet ready to enchant it.

"Hey, just calm down already." Loch said. He'd always been the type that rarely worried about anyone but himself. Keeping his cool was one of his few talents. "Whatever enchantment you find fitting for the rest of your kin." He replied when Elkand asked what kind of enchantment they wanted.

Elkand took a deep breath "Sorry, I just feel a lot more anger than usual." he said. He his palm to the gem of the amulet and began to transfer his magical power into the amulet. He was feeling weaker by the moment and after maybe a good hour of him transferring his power her finally cut it off and the amulet actually held all the power he had transferred but now he felt weaker by it and nearly fell over only being caught by other wizards. He helped himself up and held his head down his hood hiding his face. He looked up "There...with that it should slowly start to restore everyone power bit by bit and anyone who wear it will have their power multiplied by quite a bit."

The young wizard raised a brow with impressment while Elkand passed his magic into the amulet. Giving it back to the middle-aged man, who left to place it in one of their safe houses, Loch held out his hand, "Ready to go find your lady?"

Elkand sighed "Yeah though she'll probably hate me." he said "And then again she's most likely not my lady anymore and has just become someone in my past." he said and looked at his still burning mark that was purging the mark and his "bond" from his soul. He was ready to follow the young wizard to were ever he was going to take him.

Nodding, Loch summoned a portal with the flick of his wrist, using the power from the amulet that would grant all of the other wizards enough magic to go about regular business, or what had been rugelar business before the tearing down of their entire society. "I caught word that she might be in the Ruins, which isn't an odd place to find her." Stepping into it, the ruins of the old wizarding tower lay in piles of rubble and ash. Standing behind the portal to the Ruins was Larkanna. She'd felt a ripple in space and had predicted its destination correctly. She had been upset when she'd reached the palace and found that Elkand had left with someone who'd looked exactly like her, but acted almost exactly the opposite of her true personality. There had been nothing to do but wait, since Lujei had refused to allow her to go find him herself. Hiding behind a pillar, she watched, wondering who on earth had come and what they wanted.

Elkand nodded and looked at him "Alright I shall go see." he said and walked up to the portal. He prayed to the spirits that he would get to see her at least before their bonded was utterly destroyed and he stepped through the portal appearing at the ruins of the old wizard tower. He looked around "So this...is all thats left of it." he said and shook his head. He was too weak to feel any anger. He flipped his hood down and started to walk around "Larkanna!?' he called out seeing if he got someones attention and he started to walk into the ruins to find at least one trace of the true Larkanna. He wondered how he would explain everything to her and how she would react. He felt ashamed that he was unable to tell the difference and that he had in fact kissed that thing he fought.

"Elkand..?!" Larkanna's eyes widened when she heard Elkand's voice and saw him from afar. Stepping out from behind the ruin, still out of sight from her love, she couldn't help but pull off the shoes that she wore and begin running towards him, silent as an owl at night. Coming at him from the side, she threw her arms around his chest, tears springing up in her amber eyes.

Elkand didn't see her and began to feel sad and was about to give up when he felt something grab him from the side though it was silent. He looked down at the girl with the hair as red as fire and suddenly his heart stopped before it beat faster. This had to be Larkanna..he couldn't take another fake but he actually felt that it was. He smiled and "L-Larkanna..its you." he said shifting himself so she was hugging him from the front. He leaned down and hugged her "Oh I missed you so much Larkanna." he said.

Larkanna looked up at him, her eyes taking in every inch of him that she possibly could. Reaching up with a hand, she placed it on his cheek, making sure that he was real and not another cruel joke pulled by Lujei or another of the witches who'd scorned her for loving a wizard. "You're back... and you're awake." She said quietly, feeling her half of their bond finally respond. "You weren't there when I went to find you... I was afraid that you'd left." Laying her head on his chest, she listened to his heart beat, continuing to make sure that this wasn't some sort of illusion or dream. He was finally awake, but he seemed weak. Some of her magic flowed into him through their bond, but she could sense the darkness that was within him. No... it can't take him. Not again.

Elkand smiled "Its been so long since I saw you." he said "I woke in some crystal palace with some hideous creature pretending to be you." he said. The burning of the bond finally stopped as her bond her spirit finally reacting to his. He felt ab it better with her feeding her magic into his soul. He looked into her eyes and knew she had felt the darkness within him and he whispered in her ear "Do not fear, I will not allow the darkness to take me again." he said keeping her in a hug " How is it you ended up here?" he asked her.

Larkanna's heart skipped a beat when he smiled. It's been five years since I saw that smile... She thought to herself as she heard his story, understanding completely. "I apologize for that." She said quietly, "I have allowed such creatures to run about the palace and city, so long as they won't cause too much trouble, but it appears that they have exceeded their hospitality." When he told her that he wouldn't allow the darkness to take him, she sighed with relief and whispered, "I wouldn't let it take you again. Not while I'm alive and breathing." She had to think about her final answer. There had been no real reason as to why she had been there at that specific time, but she was glad that she had been, otherwise she wouldn't have seen him. "I felt drawn here.... Why are you here? Why were you so weak?"

Elkand smiled and grabbed her hand "That hideous beast pretending to be you led me to a community of wizards in the mountains." he said "After killing the creature a young wizard named Loch had me enchant an amulet and I put a bit of power into it." he said " But he opened a portal here...and led me to you." he said "Though I think he was messing with me beacuse he told me that you had been promised to another." he said. He sighed "I can't believe I let Lujei fool me into believing that beast was you...I even kissed it." he said feeling even more ashamed.

"Promised to another?" Larkanna asked, completely confused, but then she remembered. "I was promised, but never gave in." As she listened to the rest as to what Lujei had said and what he'd done, she smiled a little, "Then I hope this one's better." She stood on her toes to kiss him on the lips, hesitating slightly, unsure, but completed the action.
