Jacie flinched back just as he was about to punch her. When he didn't, she wrapped her long fingers around his fist and bowed her head down until her forehead touched their entwined hands. "I'm fine. What about you?" Jacie had been talking to the only nurse in the room who made it clear to Jacie that she was forced to work for Team Omni and wanted out of there just as bad as Jacie and Marcus did. The nurse named Heather had told Jacie that there was a good chance that Marcus may not recover. She herself hadn't seen what had happened out in the halls but some of the other grunts were mumbling things to her about the Soul of Lugia and would cower in fear whenever she mentioned it.

Marshall  Marcus looked at her " Cold and in an incredible amount of pain...like my soul is in tatters." he said " But I can't just submit here..no matter how much I want to...we need to get out of here..its not safe." he said " I don't remember what happened...not after we got caught by Marshal..I'm just glad..your alright." he said and went into a coughing fit " What happened to me while I was out?" he asked.

Jacie took a deep breath and sat down on the foot of Marcus' bed. "I-I just... I remember your dark side coming out. And attacking practically everyone in the base. I begged you to stop. But you didn't. And... And then I lost control."
Then Jacie's mind went blank. "And woke up here."

Marshall Marcus;s eyes went wide " Akuma." he said and closed his eyes but he coulden't find him every time he did there was just a shot of incredible pain " H-He's gone." he said " What happened...where did he go." he seemed to panic and he put his hands on his head and began to pace.

"He's gone."
"What do you mean he's gone?" Jacie asked, turning around to face the voice of her sister.
Keri ignored Jacie's presence but answered the question as if Marcus had asked it. "The Soul of Lugia, Jessicilla, ripped his soul out of yours. And as far as we know, Jessicilla is repairing your torn soul as we speak. And as for Akuma... Jessicilla absorbed him before she vanished, leaving you two collapsed in the hall. It was a rather disturbing sight if you ask me." Keri said, remaining emotionless. She stood leaned up against the door frame, arms and ankles crossed, and her eyes glazed over as if she hadn't slept in weeks. When in reality it had only been a few days.

Jacie watched with hungry eyes as Keri simply shook her head. "You can't. Only Jacie can. After all... Jacie is Lugia's Soul."
The words struck Jacie like a truck. She was Lugia's Soul? But the Soul of Lugia and the Heart of Ho-Oh only existed in the stories, right? Jacie's breathing became unsteady as she watched her sister leave. "Keri wait! What else do you know?!" Jacie tried to follow Keri out but found slammed doors in her face and hands around her shoulders before she could.
Traci stood with her hands on Jacie's shoulders. "It's pointless to follow after her. She's already told you all she knows."

Jacie was slightly torn at Marcus' tone. "Fine. Go. But I'm going to stay here and complete my mission. And find someway to get your precious Akuma back." Jacie's eyes suddenly flashed ice blue as Jessicilla returned to her host.

Jacie took in a deep breath while staring at the floor.
She felt herself looking down the steepest cliff she'd ever seen, peering into a black ocean.
"Yeah, actually." Jacie looked up at Marshall with a stern face. "I am. You guys need to find your stone and I need to find Jessicilla. The way I see it, we can help each other out."
And then she found herself jumping off that cliff into the black abyss.
"We both have information that the other needs."
